Regarding Rapier H120 carbs. Just by the way - An H120 runs very badly if the airbox is loose. DCOEs usually have the float bowl vented to the airbox but these "castellated" ones vent to the atmosphere. I knew someone who had an H120 and he tossed the airbox before getting the car going. Ran like a dog for years until by chance I got a ride in an H120. It suddenly started running rough and the guy stopped and tightened the airbox. Serendipity. Rummage through the scrap pile, refit airbox and car runs like a dream.
Good to see Mr X's engine making 90 horsepower. Similar spec to mine, but im running 40mm webers. The interviews are good as being from Australia we don't ever pump into the Imp guys paving the way. Good show again. 👍
Thanks Andy, another great video. I chased a mystery misfire for weeks until I touched the distributor cap accidentally with the engine running and got a bolt. The cap was brand new so it never occurred to me that it could be the culprit. When I looked at it it had a hairline crack.
I really like your videos. I did a bit with the imp engines years ago. Thanks. One thing 🙂- for me the videos would be improved if you used more control when panning the camera. It's pretty wobbly. For example 6:46 - 50. In my view, one slow pass over the car would be MUCH better than the two fast ones, front -> back and then back to front.

Excellent show Andy thanks 👍
I feel like im getting a degree in engine building following your utube channel 👌

Another great video Andy, good to see Michael make an appearance, all the best Tom.
What a great video, loved the shiny bits at the end. Sunday night isn't complete without a sit down to Shrigleytube TV.
Thanks Andy

Interesting stuff again Andy
That was soooo good, Andy! Yeah, the Astons were nice but Mr. Maynard's workshop and shiny bits were incredible!
Thanks, Enjoyed that.
great video
Great thermal expansion demo. Scriptwriter has had an off day in the name in your video title 😉
Mark’s place is incredible. Layers and layers of cool stuff.
He’s also a top fella.
Great vid Andy. Looking forward to seeing the spaceframe with some panels on. Ant.

Andy ì was really interested in the crankshaft build in the aluminium block.
Kit from down under
Is that mini imp block the 1200cc one? Used in John Meredith's hill climb car. The crankshaft I think you will find was made by Gordon Allen.
Hello, I'm just reading on the IMP site and read that the Husky has good aerodynamics 😉
MINT !
