@@HopeColitz-qc9ghshe was struck off for her stalking previously. She has a criminal record. Richard Gadd has stated that he never pressed charges because he didn’t feel right about it since she’s mentally ill.
I want her to prove the "internet sleuths" who tracked her down and gave her death threats! Where is the proof? She already said in an interview she knew it was her many years earlier with Gadds stage show! * She came forward first! Remember? She claims she was "FORCED" to come forward. She hasn't proved who forced her! Piers just took it on her word that what she said was true.
You can blame whomever you want for not holding their identities back but at the end of the day people were going to find out with such a powerful story. I think it's funny people like the podcasters trying to say hey, it's ok for a predator to be out there cause we just don't want hurt their feelings. I mean the interview with Piers, wholly crap she's delusional. I mean right out the gate she said she hasn't watched it but we all know that isn't true. The interview didn't help her in anyway at all. Stop trying to blame Netflix. Gadd, or the internet when the real issue is she did what she did, the producer did what he did, and they are the predators to blame for their behavior.
I mean... can't this be easily resolved with a true background check on real martha?? Did she not actually serve time for either stalker ships we've heard of her doing?
He chose not to reveal her identity, but it is hardly a crime for him to reveal the identity of his stalker. Where the fuck is the media's duty of care towards the vicim, why care so much about the perpetrator's feelings. He has the right to have named her if he wanted to. At least if something happens, people know where to look for him, in Fiona's basement if she has one...
She certainly displays as a Sociopath and WILL USE ANY slight change or inaccuracy in the story to claim she's being 'victimised' rather than admit all the factual stuff.
Just finished the series whichI watched on Critical Drinker's recommendation. Wow. I think the creator and Netflix treated the perpetrators' identities in a responsible manner. My only beef with Netflix was their sanctioning of a sub-Saharan casting choice for Cleopatra in what was supposed to be a documentary. That's what's brought them the most heat.
Mental woman ! She should leave him Alone now! Horrible person, it require so much courage from him to speak about it. She should go to a psychiatric hospital.
Psychiatric hospital not much use with personality disorders I'm afraid, there isn't any medication for it as it is a developmental disorder in nature. If she has as I suspect NPD then the only treatment is long term talk therapy and the outcomes for that are low (I think like less than 1 in 5). . The outcomes are even lower if she has ASPD (psychopathy/sociopathy). Best thing would be court appointed therapist visits and a general shunning by society to kick her ego into gear. Barring that a jail cell
There is one question I have about the whole show. When she came into the pub that first day, why was she crying? That's a suspensive point that was never answered. In the back of your mind, either directly or not, that point stays with the viewer during the whole show. Where did that anguish go? Was this a situation where one nail was driven out by another nail? I think that this hidden suspense is what made the show so successful.
No one would have known it was her for sure if she wouldn't have come forward. But what if, just what if this is some other psycho who is pretending to be the character Martha was based off of. 🤔
By going public, she took a minor cult hit and turned it into the biggest sensation on Netflix. She's done herself infinitely more damage than the show could have ever done on its own.
It's clear that Fiona puts some kind of facade and is quite messy at doing so and behind it, troubled woman. But she's not in jail nor institution, so maybe her foults are not as great as depikted in BR?
The fact that the emails on the show were quoted word for word proves that Netflix didn’t do enough to protect her. I’m not defending her, but they definitely made it very easy for people to figure out her real identity.
Everyone talks about be careful what you put on the internet. If it really is that easy to get this info why has no one screenshotted any of these liked pics on his FB page or any of the tweets or emails. I understand the voicemails and text messages you aren't going to get without being in law enforcement but all the rest should be fairly easy to aquire online if they exist.
@@PriscillaAmal I hardly think a handful of tweets constitutes evidence she is a stalker. If there are in fact tons of liked facebook photos with comments and 40k emails we should be able to find that yet all we find is 10 or so tweets.
Exploiting a deeply unwell woman for fame is repugnant. I don't understand how anyone laughs at this series....it was gripping drama but nothing was funny about it at all.
She is an abuser and a harasser. I don't care about Gadd, hewas a grown man and could walk away. But she tried to have a child taken from his mother. Do you have any idea how that could've destroyed his life?
Does everyone know who he is talking about? Who is everyone? Maybe people who actually knew her and knew what she did. No one else before Piers Morgan's show. It was he who exposed her identity and encouraged her to sue her victim.. so sad.
Man who gives a fuck about protecting her identity or the other guy? Who gives a fuck? Why should they be entitled to identity protection after what they did?
bs.. the writer just made a few subtle adjustments so that he could say he tried (to hide who she is). also.. if she has a criminal record, it would be publicly available. No one has produced this. she's an odd duck, but that doesn't make everything he says true.
Sorry, but the Streisand Effect is really old and everyone knows what it is. To tell people Not to do something, even something deadly, and some percent will do it.
Frankly, I think both should seek help. Right now, they seem to be caught in some sort of trauma bond. I take anything Gadd wrote with a grain of salt. He's so much more than a victim. My2cents.
She’s unwell and did wrong but why isn’t the same effort being put into finding out/accusing the groomer. Surely that man has also victimized more people as well.
If you claim a criminal offence where none exists you have a case for libel as it is defamation per se - it is inherently harmful to one's reputation and doesn't require proof of damage. That "sleuths" could find before she came forward means they didn't do enough to protect her identity and therefore she has a legal case.
Most interesting is somehow an unattractive, middle aged woman is easier to cast as a villian than a man who drugged and raped someone. He gets off scott free and is even forgiven at the end of the movie. Unreal. It makes me question Gadd. If hes going to make up somone going to prison, why not the rapist?
Yeah he really hid his stalker, i mean the actress and his stalker look and sound totally different and the job is different too, how did anyone find her.
Everything being said about the real life “Darien” character is the EXACT same shit that was said about Harvey Weinstein. Those in the industry probably do know who he is and with the success of Baby Reindeer others will come forward and it will eventually he will be outed. It’s sad that it will likely take several years but unlike Weinstein this man was assaulting men and it still holds a greater stigma than female victims (which STILL has more than it should). Frankly, I think that Fiona would have outed herself at some point either by just coming out and saying it or by creating a fake profile who “figured it out.” Stalkers are (practically by definition) delusional so I would bet she is soaking up the attention like a sponge whether or not she is even aware of it. Plus, it keeps her name linked to his (and his life) for eternity. I’m sorry for her as far as the fact that she is clearly suffering mental health issues and it is exhausting and painful. I personally have mental health issues that have taken over my life but I am grateful every day that delusions are not among them.

There is no record of an arrest or jail time. How is it a true story with no evidence of jail?
@@HopeColitz-qc9ghIt's like 50% true to give the story some "good ending" 😂
@@HopeColitz-qc9gh
Is it really that what is important?... or were you led to believe that the arrest is what matters in the whole story? or that she didn't drink Diet Coke but lemonade? What do you think should be important here?
The woman is a stalker. For a victim of stalking, there is no small or big crime... it is devastating.
Sadly stalkers who cause so much grief and pain never go to jail unless they kill someone and they have done it.
If she is mentally ill she needs protection. No to be exposed in Piers show.
What she said about Internet sleuths and the death threats, I mean.
If you don’t wanna be known a particular way then don’t behave as such. Simple as that.
The only thing they may nail Netflix on is the "this is a true story" claim, given that they've fictionalized several things (like imprisonment).
One thing we learned after: They hired an actress that looks so much like her they could be sisters.
The voice, too..spot on!
@@Meg-A-Saurus , exactly.
Daughter perhaps?
@@fargotua13 , also would be a possibility.
the actress doesn't look like her at all.
The acting maybe. that is the point.
She outed herself and ran to the press. Netflix didnt out her. She did that and shouldnt be held liable
I mean... can't this be easily resolved with a true background check on real martha?? Did she not actually serve time for either stalker ships we've heard of her doing?
He chose not to reveal her identity, but it is hardly a crime for him to reveal the identity of his stalker. Where the fuck is the media's duty of care towards the vicim, why care so much about the perpetrator's feelings. He has the right to have named her if he wanted to. At least if something happens, people know where to look for him, in Fiona's basement if she has one...
I agree!!
Stalkers just want attention, whether it is good or bad, it feeds them. Look at her now soaking in it. Disgusting. Xx
If she is lyiin’, she’s flyin’ and a chicken ain’t nothin’ but a bird.
She certainly displays as a Sociopath and WILL USE ANY slight change or inaccuracy in the story to claim she's being 'victimised' rather than admit all the factual stuff.
If it was the otherway round Martha wouldn't be described as 'mentally ill' they'd be a 'sick pervert'
8:47 This one fact should be enough to invalidate her entire argument.
Bad, bad, bad Piers, just another narcissist given air time. She outed herself.
...that's what a psycho stalker would say.
doesn't mean it's definetly true.....if richard is narcissistic,he could be lying on purpose and my gut feeling is he might be doing that.
She loves the attention.
So the rapest is still free and living his life happy knowing what he did to a kid. Back then Richard was young when it all happened.
He wasn't a 'kid"...he was an adult...an adult with a problem.
@@catrionamacfarlane4949 they guy was like 21 or something. Legally adult but still a kid to me.
Both of them are broken, and both lack credibility for many reasons. Essentially, NEITHER of them are solid truth-tellers.
"Don't try to find them!" he said... "Sounds like a challenge" The internet replied.
Mental woman ! She should leave him
Alone now!
I think that this hidden suspense is what made the show so successful.
to me, it just seemed like a ploy. She'd chosen her 'new' victim and this was her first move. His empathy was his doom.
I think she was fake
Ok but if you watch the show he’s a compulsive liar and lies when he doesn’t need to. Seem to be in his nature. Can’t trust either of them
Consequence of trauma, not in his nature. @@Purpleakiindahouse
When here lips move there lies
@@Purpleakiindahouse there's proof of her stalking multiple people, he's a bit fucked but she's way worse like she's genuinely mentally ill
Nope I checked her Twitter. She has tweets to Gadd in 2015
No one would have known it was her for sure if she wouldn't have come forward.
But what if, just what if this is some other psycho who is pretending to be the character Martha was based off of. 🤔
Holy shit I just saw her Twitter she tweets with the weird misspellings just like on the show. Her Twitter is wild she’s bonkers.
By going public, she took a minor cult hit and turned it into the biggest sensation on Netflix. She's done herself infinitely more damage than the show could have ever done on its own.
It would be pretty wild if the truth came out, and it turned out he made most of it up.
They tried to hide the real character's identities. The actual stalker looked exactly like the actress playing her.
She's definitely lying.
She is human and deserves empathy and compassion. Even more so, if true.
No, she doesn’t.
To me Donney's story, his feelings, thoughts, actions were more interesting than Martha. But great tv series
It's funny how people do wrong and get all mad about it when it comes out...
It's clear that Fiona puts some kind of facade and is quite messy at doing so and behind it, troubled woman. But she's not in jail nor institution, so maybe her foults are not as great as depikted in BR?
Foley looks most like Darriens character. And Gadd didnt deny Foley as the perpetrator, he just stated that speculation is wrong.
This show was fantastically done.
I'd like to see some proof on each side
U can find her tweets online that support gadds claim
Her tweets and Facebook posts and then what's came out her mouth is pretty damming that she did stalk him.
Does everyone know who he is talking about? Who is everyone?
Maybe people who actually knew her and knew what she did. No one else before Piers Morgan's show.
It was he who exposed her identity and encouraged her to sue her victim.. so sad.
The real villain looks like Rosie O'Donnell 😂😂😂
Even her last name can be a male first name. Scott / Harvey
He didn’t go to great lengths to protect her.
She didn’t have to come forward and out herself to the world and go on an interview 🤷🏻♀️
Susan Boyle?!

Man who gives a fuck about protecting her identity or the other guy? Who gives a fuck? Why should they be entitled to identity protection after what they did?
Beef curtains are on the menu in the morgan arms
I don’t think he did much to hide their identities, he just changed their names and then hired actors who looked like them
bs.. the writer just made a few subtle adjustments so that he could say he tried (to hide who she is). also.. if she has a criminal record, it would be publicly available.
My2cents.
Honestly, everything happened after a certain point was his fault. This movie addresses his cowardness and ego.
If the show is true, Where is Gadds viral TH-cam video where he breaks down ?
Also why isn't his name Donnie Dunn lol
Go ahead sue Netflix. !! Then ALL the dirt gets aired in court and we get to see exactly how mental this woman is.
Evil women stand by evil women. This Is why the world needs to go under Palestinian control
Yeah he really hid his stalker, i mean the actress and his stalker look and sound totally different and the job is different too, how did anyone find her.
Desperate for FAME
Neh, he wanted people to know who exactly she was and Netflix fell for it.
This Fiona lady is seeking a large $$$$ payday.
I personally have mental health issues that have taken over my life but I am grateful every day that delusions are not among them.
he maybe make peach of her and forgive her. but i dont think it the same for her.
she never get jail time in real life. And that maybe the point in these story. 😅
I dont know why he'd play himself i find it bizarre if these things hes experienced is so traumatising why not use a actor to play the role , ive seen the interview she did with piers and she is very stange woman but im on the fence in how much is real and how much is bost the viewing on this Netflix program i think their both lying i think she did stalk him but he's added things to heighten the story line
re the acting, I asked myself the same question. Why put himself in a situation to 'relive it'? I mean, he wrote it. Then he acted it out in plays and finally, in a TV series. That, to me, is a red flag.
Re acting can help some victims
Because it’s his process, obviously you can’t understand
