I know this is an old ass video but I just found your channel from doing some research on how to make a display to complement a diorama I am mocking up. You seem like a really great guy, definitely an instant sub for me.
30 hours! Damn, that's dedication. I and a hardy band of followers really appreciate it! This is a good project I've got the LCD so I'll build it tonight. Thanks again.
learnelectronics I'm not a bit surprised! The two minute video I released today took me about 4 hours and there was no code or external video! Over all into the Arduino stuff I would probably put in about 20+ hours most weeks between projects, libraries and the videos. I spent the last few weeks focusing on some projects so the videos took a bit of a hit! I need to get better at recording when I'm working on stuff, I have a lot of photos of a big project I'm just finalising, but it would have made a decent video if I recorded it. Hope your still enjoying making them anyways!
Love your channel your presentation is excellent very clear and easy to follow but I do worry about your breathing I hope you stay well as we all know how hard you work to put the content together for us to digest, I dont know how you manage to make so many projects. Be safe stay well and look after your famaly all the very best Bob in UK
I was able to get this working, but is there something in the code that can be altered to increase the image refresh rate? The images take about 8 seconds to load on the screen. Is it possible to cut that down to about 2-3 seconds?
Cool plane Paul! I was just starting with RC planes before I moved house last year and haven't got back into it yet. Have you done any videos on this topic as it would be really interesting?
agreed. just have it as a link. you don't have to even mention it in your videos if you don't want to, but people will find it and use it. might as well help give yourself back some money that you spent on your excellent education :)
i understand that. and as a viewer i kind of hate being asked, but i think if you just had a link anyway, the ones who really want to support you will find it and give you the rewards they feel you deserve. :)
i also have basically no social life :P tech is just so much more interesting and less complicated. and we can talk about tech together :P cant do that at a social gathering without weirding everyone out
Hello awesome video thank you for the share. But i have a question. IF i want to put the photos on my Website hosting and use the arduino ethernet to grab the photos from from hosting. Is it possible to do this and how can i?
Hi thanks for this video. I’m going to use the Adafruit 1.54″ TFT LCD Display with MicroSD - ST7789 with an Arduino UNO. My goal is to load several images on the flow and make a low fps animation. Is the refresh rate good or I’ll see the scanline when changing the image like in this video? It should be noted that all images are really little different. Thanks in advance!
Hello! Love your project! I have 1 problem though. I've copied your whole scetch, it compilates without any errors, but when i start and Arduino with a preloaded scetch, there is always an error "didn't find BMPimage". Can't understand what's wrong here...
Iam trying to read a single image from the SD card to a 3.5" arduino uno tft display with the same "showbmp" sketch. The tft display is showing :"bad bmp" and "didn't find bmp image". can anyone kindly post the solution ASAP.

George Chambers thanks George, let me know how your project comes out.
dude this is awesome and exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Nice video. As was asked below, posting the code would be super helpful. Thanks.
22k subscribers right now and you just got another one. 😊
I'm DEFINITELY going to make this!
nice - is that transition coded? can you make each image come on quickly?
Great Video, Thanks
@learnelectronics
Hey, thanks for the great tutorial !
Can i use animated gifs or mp4 videos instead of simple pictures like jpg, bmp etc...?
Congrats on all the subs! Well deserved.
How long do you think you spend a week on the videos?
Brian Lough thanks 😀 I'm almost embarrassed to tell you...keep in mind I have no social life (divorced)...about 30 hours a week.

Bob Wareham Thanks. I have congestive heart failure. That's why I breathe so hard.
I enjoy your vids, and your relaxed presentation style. Is that a T-6 Texan your son was holding?
eahenrie the man knows his aircraft. good job and thanks
Very nice video! Is there a way to get the actual source code? Because I can't find it anywhere

Why not Patreon, though? You deserve it and more! You could do all sorts of major projects with those contributions.
eh, feels like begging. I'm not really into that.

question. can i connect more sensors or buttons ?

fredlllll that's the truth. you start talking hysteresis at a party and sounds like maybe you need to see a doctor
Can I display videos on this? Like a five second video on a loop?

Dear sir, can you uploade the specific code please ?? Thank you kindly.
Need one that plays videos please!!!
Can this display infinite gif loop too?
can you plz post the sketch you used, thank-you
is there an link to download this sketch?
Is there any way to find the code Soo i can use it ?
Can you get a bigger screen? Or?
i have another TFT with a different library will the adafruit sketches work for my board?
Yes but you may have to change the pin numbering.

you have to write the name of the bmp file you copied to sd card
I have the same issue. Q: Where you able to solve this? Many thanks
Plase share code
can these images be changed faster if I use the arduino mega2560?
I havent tried that. But you could just change the delay variable.
learnelectronics thanks
I can use 2.4 tft LCD screen
Yes
The code is same
how do connect a diffrent display

The same problem here, can't solve it too...
if you dont want that splash of bandicam on there use obs
Tried OBS. My computer didn't like it.
learnelectronics oh... did you still have bandicam that time? XD idk i havent yet got any problems
what code!
Texan?
Buckeye
Not so fast as expected}
