Or just do what I been doing, and replace crew members with machines that can let me personally do most of it. Then the boat gets rowed exactly the way I want, faster. without all the fuss n muss 🤘🏻although there is absolutely no substitute for a great rake guy

Its easy to run that way when you enjoy your crews, your guys and your work. I wouldn't want a big company. I am good and happy with how its run right now. It's easy to get lost chasing dollars and loose track of finding fun in your work.

Whats cool is the company i was once a foreman for before starting my business 3 years prior. Just bought the gopro hero 10 for my channel. Super stoked about having it on the project we start soon.. massive 200,000 shotcrete pool, boulders, firepits, staked stone island , infinity feature.. gunna be epic

Then try to meld the home owners and contractors vision together to get a pleasing finish to the job. But that’s where professionalism comes in. Ever get the “ don’t scratch my rocks”? The company I work for last week did a bolderscaping job with 27 boulders. Smallest was 4 foot biggest was 8 foot. We had to get out the big tractor for that one. Fun video looking forward to see the finish rocks always give a great look when done right

Is there a reason why one couldn’t use maybe a modified roll off dumpster instead of dumping dirt on the street? Bigger faster scoops because you have a backstop and less waste/cleanup, at least in my head.

I'm surprised that with all the equipment and vehicles you have, you don't have on-site fuel storage. I'm finally breaking down after 25 years and getting a couple tanks. 1000 on road and 300 off road for the skidsteer. Is that the dump truck that left you stranded coming home from the shop?
Technically up here in Minnesota we can't have on site fuel storage without a dedicated perimiter set up, its a hassle. so we use transfer tanks in the back of pickups.

Hi Stan, Do you guys pressure wash and clean up your sites after each job or do you have a term in your contracts/Quotes that bypasses this? We pressure wash our sites especially after middy jobs with machinery but it takes time and its something else to consider when quoting for a job. Hey Stan,, ever considered hiring a mountaineer from WV got several years surveying experience from underground coal mining to strip mining to property and boundary surveying…lol..would like to be able to learn how to operate all that equipment..lol if I actually lived closer I would apply..
of course I would hire a mountaineer. I hired a bank robber, also an enforcer for hells outcast. I also hired a gun smuggler. I don't care about a persons past but only if they want a future.👊
that woudl be a great hill for some terraces and i mean like really nice 5-6 foot wide terraces up about 4 feet each or however the math works out (not my forte lol) but man, i can't stand raw hills like that, i want to terrace them all mua ha ha ha.... but yeah, using those huge boulders as you do is pretty awesome though. i end up using mostly small pieces and concrete lol. a Very different building style. i Would love to have a way to "glue" my stone, slate together in a way that it will be stable until i can pour concrete behind or between the two stacks. but i either need to mix up Mortar, or find tube adhesives to do that and im Not an expert when it comes to that sort of method of work. thus far we just dry stack our slate and then back fill with concrete and rebar for stability and the main structural bit. but, it woudl be a lot faster if i could stabilize as i go, and fill in the gabs between the uneven stones (its all unaltered raw stone, no cutting or anything, just straight from the blast and quarry lol) but, to mix up a bag of mortar and use it all means i have to pre stack a layer to see how it works in the line of the stone and so its not all wonky and such. so ive been contemplating all my possible options.
Stan that excavator it might need a new main hydraulic pump or new hydraulic motors cause the seals inside could be shot letting fluid back flow through the system

Stan do you possibly know anyone who does yard leveling around Delaware that doesn’t cost an extreme amount of money, Our basement has gotten flooded twice and we are almost got everything back to how it was before and we want to take the appropriate action to prevent it in the future. What exactly did you guys do? Anyone actually put in work to flatten a slope of this degree before? I’m going to actually level out a similar sized slope in my yard and would like to see an attempt. What you guys do is easy.
I noticed Sam struggling with his trimmer line. I usually use Husqvarna Titanium Core lightweight HD ).105" orange line. It lasts a very long time, cuts up to 2" burdock roots (careful methods must be used), and if when trimming stalky weeds or along fence lines, just tap a little more line out every 4-5 minutes and the line never welds to itself. I can weed whack for 1-1.25 hours without re-spooling or unsticking trimmer lines. I think it might cost $55 for 350ft or so of 0.105" line at TSC.
Seeing that flat tire made me think of a question. When you replace tires on your heavy equipment, do you buy brand new tires or do you go with retreads?
I know how much of a bargain hunter you are! But you also demand quality!!! McLaren tires also offers tracks for most everything that you have and flat free tires
Stan great video backyard is looking fantastic. Was wondering why you don’t have any rubber cutting edges on the garble when handling the stones, we use old rubber cutting edges and it works well less scrapes and scratches on the stone.

Never 100% with them big machines . Lines bust and fittings break all the time .

we do but only on smaller projects. Big jobs just require to much time to keep the grass thriving during construciton

sometimes a little negative space helps to balance out. a landscape.
I use shock straps in conjunction with my binders. That extra shack absorption keeps the binders from spinning loose on me.

we use a power broom on our sites but don't pressure wash them.

The travel path from the street across the lawn should've been covered with plywood boards to protect the grass.

Stan that excavator it might need a new main hydraulic pump or new hydraulic motors cause the seals inside could be shot letting fluid back flow through the system

Stan do you possibly know anyone who does yard leveling around Delaware that doesn’t cost an extreme amount of money, Our basement has gotten flooded twice and we are almost got everything back to how it was before and we want to take the appropriate action to prevent it in the future. I noticed Sam struggling with his trimmer line. I usually use Husqvarna Titanium Core lightweight HD ).105" orange line. It lasts a very long time, cuts up to 2" burdock roots (careful methods must be used), and if when trimming stalky weeds or along fence lines, just tap a little more line out every 4-5 minutes and the line never welds to itself. I can weed whack for 1-1.25 hours without re-spooling or unsticking trimmer lines. I think it might cost $55 for 350ft or so of 0.105" line at TSC.
We are using that as well. Seems to be handling everything pretty well.

Stan great video backyard is looking fantastic. Was wondering why you don’t have any rubber cutting edges on the garble when handling the stones, we use old rubber cutting edges and it works well less scrapes and scratches on the stone.
