    The yellow/red is: Vredo compact seeder.
    The blue thing is: The IMANTS® ShockWave is a linear decompactor, designed to revitalise heavy wear areas by relieving soil compaction, improving aeration and removing surface water. Used on fine turf like golf courses.

I think that contractors like you and others should be catered to because sooner or later the cities are going to be in a money crunch and won't be able to have all the nice toys. It individuals that make stuff happen. And I also wondered why it seemed like they always send out company reps to an expo that never want to talk with the public. Lack of training.

  • @SlickBubbles
    @SlickBubbles ปีที่แล้ว

    The blue attachment: In Ottawa, Canada we call it a slicer. The other one we call an overseeder.
    I don't understand why someone would use a slicer that pushes the ground right back down (roller). Also, why would one use a large drum that would compact soil when overseeding? Soil compaction is what cities/municipalities fight on their sportfields all the time.
    The slicer shouldn't ever be used on an irrigated field (One wrong move and there's a costly mess). We generally used a slicer on low-grade fields, i.e., ones constructed with 'rocky' soil.
    Aerators are the preferred equipment. Please sometimes ask about being able to use the field the evening on the day one aerates because of the soil 'turds' everywhere. We followed behind with a machine that had a rotating spindle with 6" rubber coated cable pieces attached, which broke up the 'turds.' On the back of this attachment we had a 'flexible grate' which levelled out the loose soil and stood the grass back up.
    Integrated turf management specialist.

    Enjoy your content and would like your opinion on something. I met a Mason/concrete company owner that has a successful operation going. I asked him about loaders, skid steers, ASVs etc...as far as purchasing equip and he's of the belief that purchasing any of that type of equipment is a terrible business decision under any circumstance. No matter how busy you are, when you factor storing, insurance, maintenance, paying for someone trained to operate it, tow it and transport it to job sites, permitting, liabilities if someone is injured or property is damaged etc.. Buying any Machinery is a complete waste of money when compared to simply renting what you need and not having to worry about those issues mentioned. Would you share your thoughts on this in a video, whether you agree or not and to what extent. Much appreciated

    Having to use a battery operated power wheelchair on a daily basis due to a injury, which is meant for off-roading and heavy use.. which has 2 big batteries and 4 motors one for each tire, the drain on the batteries to do anything extra is a total drag on the whole system, the amount of use l get from it and probably from the mower showing on here as well doesn't merit the price.. 4 hours isn't that long and depending on the use over flat ground or on hills will factor into that time frame, especially cutting on hills will cut down the length of time, and with more use the longer the charge needed, till you got no choice but to replace the batteries which are not cheap, also it doesn't matter the placement and use... the electric motors will get very hot as there is no cooling from them.
    great idea but in reality not very practical over years of use

    I bet those prices you got are not what cities pay. They probably jack the price by %25 since it "Government " money! Cool video Stan.

    The ABI is expensive with the laser attachment, but since you are probably not manicuring a baseball diamond, what good is it? Well, lets say you are about to pour a driveway and adjoining sidewalks. The laser attachment will let you control the subgrade to a tenth of an inch. Even on a residential job, that could mean saving a couple of yards of concrete. Its not great at moving big quantities, so you would still have to have a front bucket on a skid steer or something similar. This could be nice for those government jobs where they are going to core the concrete to check thickness and mix strength. No need for extra material to make sure you meet minimum spec, and the runoff goes where its supposed to without ponding. Laser attachments are pretty common on Cat #12 graders, but they won't get in tight places. If the price of concrete is not in your equation, you don't need the ABI.

    Great video for all the technology we have and as long as commercial mower have been around youd think the seat swivel would have came about sooner but I understand why it's on the cub cadet my neighbor just bought one like this one and the way you sit on and in a mower with that design its necessary you basically have to hold yourself strait with the steering wheel I bet ventrac is wishing they did it first
