I know he'd disagree with this, but, there are few if any people more deserving of being honored like this. Between Landon being the perfectionist that car deserved to you guys documenting Mark's experience and thoughts. Once again, something we wouldn't have without this channel. You have done something truly special. Would've been nice for Jack or anyone even, from RFK to have participated in this too.
Seeing him in the car while driving is what did it for me. My daughter was 2 and I was still trying to figure MYself out. To be able to watch those two(Mark and the 51) reunited was touching. @@mikelliteras397 😂. Let’s focus on the “nice” part.
Mark was my favorite driver too. A great gentleman.
Mark is right, you guys are knocking the lights out, great story, awesome to hang out with Mark again, thanks for taking us along! Cheers!!
Mark Martin is classy driver and to him Thank You for being a fan of mine.
Absolutely beautiful restoration! I'll bet Mr. Martin was as happy as a puppy with two peters. 😂
I'm proud of him restoring that race car it's part of NASCAR history I wish I can do something like that one day
It was awesome to see Mark sitting there reliving the moment in the car. Hats off to Landon for pulling that off. Thanks guys for the video.
My first Nascar game was Nascar 99 & I remember the big 3 were Dale Sr, Jeff Gordon, & Mark Martin. When I saw this car yesterday before the race I thought back to being a kid & why I still follow Nascar today. Cool to see this vid, thanks for posting!
Mark was always my favourite driver, My hair stood up for like 75% or this video. Almost cried twice. The amount of memory’s that came from deep I didn’t remember I had. The nostalgia that came from this video is unreal. What a rush of emotions, thank you for this video.
Man I miss him racing. He was my favorite of all time racers
Mark Martin always raced with great intensity, and he still retains that same level to this day! A truly great driver in a fantastic era of NASCAR. What a great video, Mitchell and Logan!! SO informative and well done, as are they all!!! 👍👍🙏🙏
This hits home for me mark martin was my favorite up until he retired! when he left my interest slowly faded because after he left, nascar slowly went down hill! My dad still has pictures of me decked out in mark Martin gear with mark qualifying right behind me in Richmond around 1998!!
I loved it when he said, he started it and it sounded Right! And when he started going threw the gears and it felt right! This guy along with tons of others were at the end of the best era of NASCAR that ever was! I grin the entire video, what a legend!!!
rember this car as a kid. this channel has become so special
Thank you so much
Wow that car was so cool. Kudos to Landon and everyone who brought it back to life. Mark Martin is such a cool guy. What an honor for you to be one of 2 You Tubers Mark followers. Congrats on another great interview.
i’ve got a shoebox full of early 90s crazy to go through them and see the guys so young
Dang I was 22 and heavily into NASCAR when he raced this car. It even took me back just watching the video and having my memories of watching it. I can't imagine the experience for Mark. Amazing job Landon and all involved on the restoration!
My Dad and I were huge Mark Martin fans. My first race was Texas in 98 and Martin won, so it was extra special to see him win my first live race.
All time favorite driver, my favorite paint scheme! What a class act Mark Martin is. We desperately need guys like Mark and his influence and respectability to right NASCAR's ship. I remember the 98 race just, great race. I have several version of this car in die-cast. Thank you to everybody for this video absolutely loved it!!! Heard Mark didn't get to see Jack or anyone from Roush, what an incredible loss to Roush. Thank you Landon for such a beautiful restoration
That sound gives me goosebumps !!!!, Mark was my favorite driver growing up
Goosebumps every time
Not sure why but this brought a tear to my eye for some reason ,how much mark enjoyed this, took him back. Thank you and Logan for making these videos
WOW!! I got misty eyed seeing Mark wheel the 6 car at Vegas again!! I was 26 year's old when Mark won that race !! Talk about transporting back in time!! I'm 50 year's old now!! Thanks for sharing and retelling Nascar's history!! I love the Nascar history videos!!!!!!
Mark is such a classy guy. He was my favorite driver from his 1st race with Jack.
Sounds so much better than the cars of today. I miss that sound so much on raceday!
Me too man
Give us unedited of him driving from start to finish. You see a man’s whole world come back to him. Teared up watching. Such a gentleman and awesome man
“I was 4 when this car raced.”
Damn, I’m old. 🤣
Great video!! Those of us "old" Mark fans remember that season well and seeing that car as it was back then on the track with the MAN driving it is just awesome. Thanks!!
I know he'd disagree with this, but, there are few if any people more deserving of being honored like this. Admittedly I was a Gordon fan in the 90's but looking back on Mark's career, it's hard not to love the guy. Between Landon being the perfectionist that car deserved to you guys documenting Mark's experience and thoughts. Once again, something we wouldn't have without this channel. You have done something truly special. Would've been nice for Jack or anyone even, from RFK to have participated in this too.
Mark said Jack wanted to come but for some reason he couldn’t be there. Really stinks.
Seeing him in the car while driving is what did it for me. My daughter was 2 and I was still trying to figure MYself out. To be able to watch those two(Mark and the 51) reunited was touching. As always, you guys knocked it out of the park with this one! I even took a long lunch break to watch this 😀
Thank you all for your involvement in this project. I'm a total lurker and I never comment, but this won the internet for me today!
We’re glad you decided to speak up. You should more often 💪🏻
Thank you so much for this. Mark Martin was and is my favorite driver . I never missed a race he was in. When I finally got to see him win in person in the 5 car I cried. It was that overwhelming. I have this die cast as well. Now I know the full history of it. This is the NASCAR I miss so much. I no longer watch it regularly because of what it has become but your channel brings back memories constantly. I’m from Mississippi so I’ve always kept up with Lake Speed and have met him more than once and getting to see him again is wonderful. So thank you for your hard work to bring all these memories back.
I was at the Brickyard in '98 and remember that paint scheme... Mark Martin is a class act!!!
Mark is awesomeness. So great to see this...appreciate his honesty during the interview...drives it like he never left...😎👍
What a nice sight, seeing Mark behind the wheel of the 6 car again. Wish my dad could have seen this
