Had a fitting on Monday for ping g430 slight improvement on my don’s but nothing special, the fitter handed me the923 HL and wow, creamed 5 in a row and trajectory. I haven’t launched a club like that in years, tried Paradym and stealth after but no contest went back to the mizunos and same again, so ordered 5-gw with ust recoil f2 shafts, may fall in love with this game again. Thank you Mizuno for producing a club for an old guy with a slow swing speed 65 and 70 swing speed, can’t wait until these arrive 😀😀
how have you liked them a year later? (written as I await my set to arrive)
Over the past few days I've hit "player improvement" irons from Callaway, Taylor Made, Cobra, and the Mizuno HM Pro bested them all. My local shop didn't have a set of Titleist T350's so I drove 100 miles (round trip) to try them as well. It was close, but when you factor in the nicer feel of the Mizuno's, a bit more forgiveness (and that they're $400 USD less) it was a no-brainer. Just placed my order today.

I used to play mp33 switched to 923 pro ,game changers.I can’t believe how awesome they are I hit a 8 165 yds reg shaft I am 62 in November
Just got my new 923 HL's and have to say they are great. They have to be among the best irons for the mid to high handicap player. I'm 66, 14 handicap, with a 7-iron swing speed 75 - 78 mph. Exactly what I was looking for! Had them made at +1/2 and 2 up. It took 4 weeks to get them but worth the wait.
Just bought the new jpx 923hmp so stoked to get them got +1 in and 2 degrees upright

What a breath of fresh air this guy is never seen him before but i have subscribed he is hilarious thanks man your a star.
Got fitted for the HL based on my tendency to have quite low dynamic loft when I'm swinging well. It's marketed as the slower swing speed club (75 on their site I think), but I swing about 80 and still see a massive benefit from the extra few degrees of loft.

How would you rate these JPX Hot Metal vs the Mizuno 225 PRO irons...Which I like for looks and feel and lofts being more true for 7 irons etc....Thanks....

Just hit both irons.......there is a 1.5 degrees in the difference. The 923 HM plays soooo easy and had more ball speed and carry. It's hard to compare these irons as they are ment for different players and there is a €100 per club difference in price. Gotta say overall I think the HMs suit more people and are tremendous. 😊👍Mike

I have the 921 HM with some higher launch/spinning shafts (True Temper elevate 95), would it be similar to what the HL brings (supposedly for slower swinging players)? We're all getting a bit older.
The HL really do launch the ball considerably higher than the HM, without having to do anything at all. If you don't have a high swing speed, try the Recoil Shafts they really are a game changer, and are for me. Go test them and see you'll be amazed. 😊👍Mike
A question, would a golfer lose significant distance with the HL vs the the HM?
I reality I didn't see any real difference, which I found very interesting. After testing it was minimal. 😊👍Mike

10 to 15 yards, need to be fitted as spin from HL was too much for me.

Hi Larry, you are not alone. They rarely disapoint. As a guy who has played Callaway irons for years, I switched to the Mizuno 223s in May this year and played the best golf of my life since. Love them. 😊 Mike
