He was trying to be so helpful and informative. I was thinking that he was starting to realize that... "hey this man seems to have the plant lingo down and is able to explain plant related specifics better than I can?"😮

A great tour around for those of us unable to be there, which is probably a good thing 😆so many yummy plants I wouldn't be able to resist. And the added bonus of all the gorgeous fur babies was lovely. Good to see AJ, you two definitely need to do another catch up or ten 🤩

Very tricky renting with a dog … especially getting a new rental … so it’s not really an option atm but I get so see Bailey almost every day:)

Right, so I took a screenshot of the clearest still I could, tried to figure out the smudged writing, then Googled to find correct spellings of what I *think* it says. My best guess is that the nepenthes you got is a Nepenthes Sibuyanensis x Ventricosa but I've genuinely no idea for sure. Hopefully this helps point you in the right direction of the correct ID!

Haha 182cm :) sooo that basically means I make my plants look smaller than they actually are 🫣🫣
I don't know if Myleaflovin/LeafyLovin reads the comments, but to give an idea about editing time... In my education we were told that editing pace usually ends up at around 1 hour of editing per 1 minute of video. This of course depends on the length of your shots and if something went wrong with audio for example (I've spent some extra hair pulling hours on manually adjusting audio levels to get every bit of conversation in the right range for example), if you use all kinds of effects or not. But that's if you have figured the software out, you know where to find everything you want to use and have experience with it. 1 thing I learned in school to do things faster, is learned the keyboard shortcuts. You can switch tools around pretty quickly and it's faster than doing stuff with your mouse. I made a couple of commercials for local companies, usually around 45 seconds. That would take me about 5-6 hours of editing. A 3,5 minute music video took me 20 hours because there where colour effects and way more cuts to make.

@sydneyplantguy can't argue with both of the reasons... I started with 1 Nepenthes, now I have more then 20
you said that the first - seconds of the video is the most important, you are right. but after watching so many videos I can say that I absolutely hate intros, and if intro is too long I just skip the video. People do not have patience for long intros anymore, so the quicker you the explain what the video is about and get to the point the better. The best way of thinking is to not treat viewers like their are children that need explaining everything. You have been pretty good with that for the most part, you usually get the point of the video across quickly and get to the point in no time.
