    Your style always refuses to be put in a box, yet always has your signature aesthetic, no idea how you do it. My mind is blown every time, thanks for the great music.

    This is an absolutely amazing use for the Digitone standalone. Extremely nice sounds and excellent voice management as well. Huge thank you for all these inspirations, Yan!

    Oldschool Berlin techno vibes. The way you're pitching up that carrier is just pure eargasm!

    You’re a genius. Elektron should retribute you for this. You’re truly embracing the essence of their machines. That’s actually really crazy how good you are with them.

    What a great demonstration of the percussive sounds this synth is capable of. Really well done!

    Amazing stuff from only 4 tracks. I use the step locks on this thing and it's so rewarding when it delivers the gems but it takes a creative spark of input in the first place. Great work man 👍

    This video really proves I need to get more out of my Digitone, still seem to only use it for crazy percussion and bell like sounds! You really seem to be the master over it, if you would be keen on doing a Digitone tutorial like with the Ableton ones I would definitely watch it 10 times haha! Props for the amazing music and tutorials! Thanks from Holland

    about to buy a digitone. But a digitakt, a microfreak, the minologue xd and the soma lyra 8 are also an option. I really like distortion, dark atmospheres and more complex sounds. What would you recommend or go for?

    • @YanCook
      @YanCook  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Digitakt is a completely different machine, it's a sampler and a very good one.
      If you want a synth, I think Digitone is a great choice if you're into FM synthesis and you can use it without an audio interface with Overbridge, which is amazing :)

    • @JampoLps
      @JampoLps 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’am aware the digitakt is a sampler, but bc of its engine it kind of feels like way more than just a sampler. I gotta have a hands on at Thomann. Thank you for your reply and recommendation. Your music is really high quality art btw

    Man I'm choosing either a digitakt or digitone to work with my ableton with push 2, for techno/house or other beats production. If you can only buy one of those two machines, which one would you choose? digitakt or digtitone?

    • @YanCook
      @YanCook  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Digitone :)

    • @elsichan3630
      @elsichan3630 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YanCook Hah thank you for answering. I probably will get Digitone too because i still lack a hardware synthesizer in my current setup. Why do you pick up Digitone? is it because it's even mightier than the digitakt in designing sound?

    • @elsichan3630
      @elsichan3630 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YanCook When jaming solely with Digitone, do you use the 4 MIDI tracks? I imagine that the 4 MIDI tracks cannot produce sound itself without an external resource, thus we only have 4 synth tracks to use if we use Digitone as a stand-alone. Is this right? Thanks!

    guys would you buy digitone or digitakt first?

    • @cs7160
      @cs7160 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends what you want, but digitakt is probably the safer bet (I own both).

    • @GuyGamer1
      @GuyGamer1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Digitone if you're into FM synthesis and creating sounds from scratch, Digitakt if you're into sampling / drums.

    • @timk8021
      @timk8021 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would say the Digitakt just because you can make a sample sound like a synth but, you can’t necessarily make Digitone sound like a sample. I have them both wouldn’t get rid of either. They also play really well together.
