This was the moment I knew I had to dive into the world of modular synths. Months later I’m back to say I just got my first semi-modular. Absolutely inspiring.
i know it's 2020 but that's clearly a woman's thing, to be that organized. as a man, let's just say i'm glad they make cable patches in different colors.
Nicely done performance, but also possibly the cleanest, pristine modular synth setup I've yet seen. Entering into my home synth techno cave is more like an Indiana Jones adventure . . .
I was really digging this video, which I found by chance, and then I took a closer look at her rack, and what did I see in the top right? Quadra + Expander and Korgasmatron. I designed those! So, I had a small part in this very cool performance. I gotta tell ya, it's pretty gratifying.
This morning I had a song stuck in my head, with this nice and evolving lead melody with delay, spent 15 minutes on Spotify trying to find it…turned out to be the first 4 minutes of this jam. It’s so good!

Yes, it does remind me of old Tangerine Dream. Just get rid of some of the percussion, and you have old-school Berlin School sequencing. The younger kids have just updated it and made it dance-able, which is a good thing.
This Synth requires brains to make music but also requires alot of patience from listeners. (Hahahaha) Keep em coming.. Cheers!!! I compose for fun and mental health and it has left me no space in studio. Hahahha But I'm still greedy.
10:04 Video glitch reveals final form. Beautiful set. I appreciate the focus and practice it takes to put this kind of music together. Always dreamed of a setup like this but stayed with Reason and a couple hacked synths. So many talented women synthesists in the scene right now, we’re blessed.
i agree it's great seeing good cable management like that. but that means she's "saving" this patch for a while. i often patch stuff up and then unpatch at the end. would make cable management redundant and time wasting
Pretty sure most of the modular users rely on happy accidents rather than actual control like this. The audio is well managed throughout, not just the cables.

love good modular sets that don't devolve in modular mayham. Is there a list of modules she uses? I recognise the obvious ones but would love to see a full layout and why she uses them in said configuration.
So much great naturalistic progression. Love the transitions and rhythmical interlayering. Have to relisten with headphones. As to the cable management someone mentioned. That is EXACTLY like a well trained electronics board assembly person would do the internal wiring- case in point it actually bothers me so few do their cords like this lol.
Being an american, I rarely see an entire production with only modular synthesis. Usually, American artists use keyboards and drum machines with Ableton or one of the many DAWs out there. I absolutely love this wonderful music and JakoJako has certainly impressed me. The wiring looks crazy.
