Houses cost to much to buy and the rent is to high. Also, some people can't keep a job. We have several family members living together. If we didn't , we would be homeless😢.

Make it work, the issue with many is they can’t co-exist with others.. otherwise they would
      Have a home

Awful! My parents lived in Bradenton and the area they lived in I thought was sooo nice. Now, I wonder if homeless camps were right nearby and they/we had no idea! How scary! ) :
Thank God most have been demolished at least! ) :
I am glad you don't have smell-a- vision! This is very sad this existed and all these camps were filled with homeless people needing help! ) :

I grew up in Palm Harbor, FL and, sadly, developers have always meant more to the government there than school children. We had no air conditioning in classes and HAD to take idiotic courses like “communist studies” to learn how horrible communism is from folks who were horrid teachers. I had hoped things changed- but it looks like they haven’t.

I do honestly confess * i'm one of those that thought that there's not enough land for humanity to live in _ and eventually we would have to seek other places such rivers and lakes maybe perhaps to live in houseboat ( but ) i can clearly see now that actually there's plenty of room for everyone _ the waste on resources is massive when in fact it could have been used to build pre-fab small houses for folks to have a place to dwell * and some people told me that's impossible due to the fact of ( addictions ) and people will make those places dangerous for them and others ( but ) because people have addictions does not mean that they need to be discarded from life _ addictions is like a huge tree with innumerable branches * there's a name for every addiction _ which one are we talking about ..? is like if a child is handicapped and have an illness _ are we to discard that child because of an illness ..? Absolutely NOT ! so the same with homeless _ they are sick and need to be helped to live _ and not to help them die * there's plenty of land for folks to have a small shack with small living room that can be used as bedroom at night and full bathroom with a small kitchen _ homeless are human too * and many a lot better than me 😮

Tbh the biggest reason we have a homeless problem in manatee county is mental illness and drug addiction which bakes the brain eventually ( sign of mental illness problems is nasty environment and hoarding). I see it from law enforcement side and unfortunately the only solution specifically BPD is throwing folks In jail for trespassing on a 12$ bond for months or years. Center stone is a water down institution. Manatee need to invest into mental health services plus 90% of people in the port plays incompetence too so resource and being misused and taking advantage

Some just get arrested on purpose.I know a few who get arrested 15 times a years . They get fed and showered and their own cell bc they like to throw poop and spit and don’t clean nothing. When giving the opportunity for help they denied it bc the meds are poison then get out to get high and in and out

You are so right!!!! Thank you for making that known. I'm one of those displaced 3 times where they have us 24hrs to leave and then bulldozed everything we owned! In Pasco County FL. They allow businesses like Wendy's to openly stereo type folks and then based on their assessed opinion of whether you're homeless or not and then refuse you service if they judge you guilty of being disabled financially; spouting homeless revolution as they laugh said hungry fellow Hudsonian out of their fast food joint with the threat that "the police will be there in a few seconds to trespass you permanently because they called then when you got in line and waited patiently for 20 min. Only to be humiliated and shunned.

Law enforcement is only the puppet who moves, this situation is further down the food chain. Homelessness really shouldn’t even be law enforcement’s problem. If i was a sheriff i would refuse to be societies garbage can. Thats not what they are there for.. yeah yet somehow they are evicting camps without warrants and thats illegal. Imagine that, doing someone elses job.. than not even proceeding legally
