- Fishing at Lake Balboa: Today I decided to do some fishing at Lake Balboa. I had caught some fish before I was greeted by some subscribers that I have never met before. One of them had never caught a fish before and the had only caught 2 fish in his life. I taught them how to use spinning rods and reels and the best baits to use for bass and where they are hiding at. Along with giving them some tips I also gave them some baits that I have a lot of confidence in. They caught a decent amount of bass that day and it was good to meet them. If anyone recognizes me don't be afraid to say what's up. It was a good day of fishing and I hope you enjoyed watching. Please subscribe and I'll see you in the next vid!
Hell yeah bro always fun teaching people how to fish!!!! Sick Video
Appreciate bro! Love watching your vids too!
Awesome
🙏🤙
I liked this video since you gave classes to a new fisherman so that he could learn to enjoy fishing better and the emotion was noticeable and that is priceless, I congratulate you My friend, greetings from Riverside County
Thank you very much my friend 🙏
good job yoshi. I wish I could meet you at balboa
Thanks, might do a subscriber meet up at balboa soon.
👍😍
Do you catch and release there? because about 15 years ago the fish was smelly there.. I need your help to get Halibut at the Malibu pier :) . So far I fished the Mackerel and some crabs from Malibu pair. I might go there today
I always catch and release. But if you are targeting halibut at the pier I would use the same dropshot method I mentioned in the video. And if you happen to catch some baitfish on a sabiki you could use that as live bait. Both are great methods to catch Hali.
@@fishingwithyoshi I need to get the right sized hook probably for Halibut?
@@askdad if your using the dropshot I would recommend using the j hook like I used in the video.
Yo! I work by here and I’ve been talking to my coworker about going out to fish there and do a catch and cook, is that something you recommend?
The water is pretty dirty over there so I personally wouldn’t eat anything over there. But they’re are some lakes that stock trout that you can definitely catch and cook.
@@fishingwithyoshi ahh I see, yea wasn’t sure if anything actually ate the fish from there but I will definitely be looking for some cleaner water for catch and cook. Plan on getting my license next week and picking up a UglyStik for $60 from big 5 😅 see how that goes
@@rdavidf99 they stocked Hansen damn with trout, going to make a video soon on it.
@@fishingwithyoshi awesome I’ll keep an eye out for that video 🙏🏽 maybe I’ll see you out and about some day
Bait tho??
I show in the video. It’s a small little fluke.
