I run a stereo amp and PA too with my Line6 HX Stomp. The PA send has an amp sim thats close enough to my amp sound and can be used for floor wedge or in-ear monitoring especially when the gig is too loud or I cant really hear my amp. I also have a stereo amp preset in the HX Stomp. I can run stereo ping-pong delays, reverbs or a chorus effects that sound out of this world good.
Great video and valid points well made. Another thing to add is at most gigs, theres probably 90% of the audience that don't care or wouldn't know if you were playing through a modeler or tube amp. On the flip side, ive done many a jam night where someones been playing through an expensive all valve amp and sounded bad. Normally me😂
Great video man. I think you made a great point in reference to the evolution of guitar tone. I think we’re in golden age of options due to digital coming such a long way. I hope the next step is having modelers move away from traditional guitar sounds and creating new unique algorithms.
I'm shocked headrush doesn't try to model the akai deep impact (akai is owned by inmusic too), that pedal is so expensive and is the key to the Muse (the band) tone. Would be interesting to see them move into modeling guitar synthesizers, or basically do the same thing as the roland gr-55 just without the special pickup.

Yeah that's pretty much how I run it. It's glorious

Yeah I'm with you on that. You see it with time based effects but not so much with other effects

It just needs to sound the same or better on recordings.
