@@FredtheDinosaurman i just wanted to let you know that you helped raise me my guy, i have always loved your videos and i know by heart on how to make all of your clay dinosaurs. For my art projects in school, i would make your dinosaurs and even made a mammoth in your style. from your tutorials and all of your dinosaur fights you will always be a big part of my childhood and just wanted to let you know that im glad to know your still posting even if its not claymation ❤
I can’t believe it’s been a year since Godzilla vs Ghidorah, it feels like that was just yesterday. That’s how fresh it is. Who needs an apology for that high quality claymation?
This remains me so much of the Big Al art work you did all the way back in 2015, 8 YEARS AGO! You've clearly have improved so much since then, I've been a huge fan since the beginning and I repsected all of your work since then. I hope you have a good day
Wow, I am speechless. Not only is this some of the best paleoart if seen, but this has so much detail and is very paleontologically accuracy. Bruh, even the number of vertebrae is roundabout, if not correct with 9 in the neck, 14 in the back and 5 in the sacrum (this can change with each individual.) I would love to be able to do this 😞
Oh PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do more time laps like this, i'm such a fan of your painting style and this an invaluable resource to learn from when rendering and layer correction are concerned and don't worry about lack of uploads it is more than worth the wait for seeing stuff like this. keep up the good work can't wait to see it in Dinosaur Art II!
A year ago, I decided to get back into sculpting. When I worked on an allosaurus, your artwork was my favorite reference. You made the animals so... humble. I didn't feel like I was looking at an alien or some scifi monster. I was seeing an animal for the first time. I knew those creatures you made. It was a huge inspiration for a hobbyist in a rut. Thank you.
*Time to learn from the master.* Oh, and don’t apologize for being absent on YT when you’re working on cool stuff. Hope to see more of these kind of videos. 👀
Man, I think this is the first I time I ever heard your voice. It's really cool seeing how far you've come along, man. I remember some of your uploads from years ago with your How To Train Your Dragon drawings on DevianArt. Keep up the good work!
Im not commenting from my main account, but i just wanna say Fred, you were a very big inspiration to me and many other people, it was because of your art that i started seriously practicing dinosaur anatomy and just drawing them in general (this was about 2017). Thanks for being so awesome!
Good to see you’re uploading! No need to worry about the lack of it though - I’ve been a huge fan of your art and animations for a long time so more in depth videos like this are so inspiring for me as a paleo artist myself. Also you touching on the bases for your characters are so interesting I’d love to see how you make them / just more videos on how you make your art in general it’s gorgeous!
What an amazing video and piece, always wanted to know how you did your illustrations, as an artist as well seeing your art is amazing inspiration to do paleoart. I have a question about your linearts. When you started doing the details on Big Al, you did a lineart for it, did you draw over it later on, or did the lineart stay on top of all color, light and shadow? Hope to see more of this kind of videos (Only when you have time for them) ❤
I would’ve love to see it like the last hour of big Al’s death, but it would probably be too much depressing to watch I am glad that you are an artist still.
Yes! It would be awesome to see more process videos of any of your art to be honest, everything you make is amazing! And don’t worry about slow uploads or etc. Life always comes first and it’s completely understandable!
It was very fun to watch your illustration process Fred! It would be cool to watch you not only do an illustration time lapse but also have a time lapse in that video of you designing the dinosaur or animal first too!
Hey man I've been a fan since your early stop motion days with those Jurassic Fight Club and that one Jurassic Park Video I really enjoy your work keep it up and good luck.
Damn, your clay animations made my childhood and I'm happy that you're doing well (or at least hope so) after all these years. Your drawing skills are immaculate. I love how tiered and somber the allosaurus looks in this piece. Little details like wrinkles and shades on it's face give so much character. I would definitely love to watch more paintings videos like this.
Bro I saw this piece like weeks ago, and to see it again is just heartbreaking. This scene destroyed me on an emotional level fr. Phenomenal work as always Fred!!!!!!
Fred my day gets so much better when I get to see a new post from you. This is probably my favorite piece of yours as well! Keep up the incredible work, and you´re a huge inspiration to me and others. Keep it up!
Hi Fred, this was an excellent video and I wish you can do more of them. It would be nice if you can share your tips and tricks, but, if you don’t… we will still be happy with this type of content.
PLEASE more art processes. As an aspiring digital artist, this is so inspiring! Your work is fantastic and I love seeing the process just as much as I love the final piece.
My god. I remember I tried to make some of the clay dinosaurs when I was starting middle school. Man, what a beautiful piece of art. You really inspire me to push my own art career. Love your videos!!!
Words cannot describe this amazing art, for real tho, im not joking, this is amazing! I also like drawing dinosaurs, but I’m not that good. I’ve been drawing since I was a kid and I loved watching your videos back then too, that’s why I started drawing dinosaurs
I'm currently practicing my drawing for nearly a year with krita, and your sketch alone is 1000 times better than anything i've ever made. I wish I had that ability to turn a drawing of an allosaurus into life.
You are so talented, I love seeing your work on DA and other platforms. It all looks so perfect and life-like as though the animal was photographed. Amazing as always, keep up the great work.
When you have the time, I would absolutely love to see more of your illustrations through speedpaints. This is a lovely process and I enjoyed every second. Can't wait to see another timelapse.
Brother I look to you for your art, backgrounds and art style in my art, you say your backgrounds aren’t very good but I see them and see some of the best scenes put onto a canvas, any time you post your art it lights a fire in me to draw as well.
Absolutely loved this video, and what an amazing piece of paleo art that IMO is one of the most believable and real looking depictions of Allosaurus I've ever seen. It's really amazing and inspiring seeing your process and it motivates me greatly! I would love to see more content like this in the future! ^^
Never apologize for a lack of content when you are doing your job. We all love and will continue to support your vids and content.
Thank you

Fred could dissapear for 20 years and we'd still be like "YOOOO" if he even spoke a word online.
Did u play hollow knight?
@@magesticwafl yes.
A talented guy that can do clay mold, stop motion, and art. You are truly blessed. We are so glad to have you, Fred.
23 years later and Ballad of Big Al is _still_ inspiring people.
Your paleoart is so breathtaking.
It's just indescribable. He's an inspiration for all paleo artists.

IT WAS A YEAR???!??! No way
i tought it was 7 months ago.. god damn time passes by
I remember turning around and telling my sister that the dinosaur stop motion channel we watched as kids had posted a new video. time flew by.
What about Gigan maybe Godzilla will return
Seriously you’re one of the most talented paleo-artists out there. This look into your creative process was both interesting and inspiring!
Prehistory feels like home.
Indeed.

Think you can do an Iguanodon or a Parasaurolophus? Also you should do artwork for Museums! I'm sure they'd love having you around!
Came out absolutely killer, and it's great to see the process with commentary!

Thank you. I like my illustrations to look more painterly so the linework gets paint over for the most part.
Splendid!

I remember watching you 5 years ago i think, so glad i found this channel again!
Only time when shrink wrapping is appropriate.
Always happy to see you Fred! I hope you're doing great as well !
Big Al’s death was one of the most tragic deaths in the Walking with Trilogy, next to the Ornithocheirus and the baby Gastornis.
Don’t forget the female Tyrannosaurus from Death of a Dynasty.
Damn, your clay animations made my childhood and I'm happy that you're doing well (or at least hope so) after all these years.

Gorgeous, beautiful, impeccable, a true feast for the eyes. Though I believe Al has now turned out to have been an ovulating female.
