About those risky fixes; Yeah I did the "towel trick" a few times, where the overheating (which this is based on too) was done in a more extreme way by wrapping the powered on console with a towel and letting it heat up for 15-20 minutes, then power down and let it cool down entirely for another 20min or more. (Personally I wouldn't recommend anything cold to speed up the process to avoid condensation) It did work to keep playing for the night and Microsoft still did trade the console when the "cardboard coffin" arrived and I sent it to be replaced, so... risky, but desperate times called for desperate measures. (Though I do not recommend doing this to anyone who might read this and IF you do, at your own responsibility, make sure you pay attention to it at all times)

Yeah that works with the same idea as this does; heating the console which causes thermal expansion to expand the component that fails with heat so that it might re-connect back again for a while. Until the thermal expansion and retraction causes it to lose connection again at some point. I did the towel trick a few times just to get to play for a few more hours on nights where I just wanted to game on for a bit longer, before sending yet another console to be fixed/replaced to Microsoft. Sometimes it worked for only a few hours, sometimes longer.

So guess what, i plugged it out, cleaned the power unit which was dusty, and then pluged it back in. I plugged it upside dwn, meaning i turned it 180 so that the + side now goes to the -. I have no idea i that has any influence. Well whatever happened my XBOX now runs as smoothly as ever and it took me about 10 seconds !!! and saved me 120 from buying a new system which i would hate since i like the design of this one. YAY!!!

PS2 would over heat and break like crazy ,PS1 was terrible it would over heat all the time and u had to flip the thing mover so it didn't blow up . PS4 is OK not great. the PS4 over heats and sounds like a jet engine and the control is always dead. PS4 has the worst exclusive games

Try unplugging the power cord from the power brick. Just wait a few seconds and it should be back to normal.
