I just realized the true genius of Dan's plan. At first, it would seem like the imposter could just have his and Dan's DNA tested to prove he's not actually Dan, and he'd be off the hook. But by doing so, he'd be inadvertently admitting to identity theft, so he'd end up in the big house regardless. Well played by Da- oh, right. Biff. Well played, Biff.
A win win situation for Da- I mean "Biff", even if Fake Dan proves he is not Dan he still looses, there is not outcome where he comes out clean of this, he can only choose the less painfull defeat avalible bit regardless of what he chooses he looses.

That was from the sequel of Dan vs Dan (Imposter). Dan vs The Telemarketer is when he makes a second appearance. He’s the only reoccurring villain in the series.
This is kind of why I love Dan as a character. Like Chris pointed out in one episode, he's incredibly dumb in certain areas, but also incredibly smart in others. This was a really clever way to get his revenge and get Imposter Dan out of his life.
I'll be honest, even though i love watching Dan's usual violent revenge methods i actually enjoyed seeing him use a non-violent approach in his plan to get rid of the imposter, getting him arrested was pretty clever on Dan's part but he should've known that the imposter wouldn't be in prison forever but given how long the imposter was in jail that would've given Dan enough time to fully protect his identity.
I don't imagine that the imposter would have returned if the show continued. Even if he proves that he isn't Dan and gets out of Tax Evasion, they would still pin him with Identity Theft. Either way he was cooked
Funny how after all that happened the last time we ever see Imposter Dan he's fishing on vacation without a care in the world and implies that he no longer has anything against Dan Now that's character development

Some episodes are duds, but It has it's moments. episodes that include Dan's Impostor, the Burgerphile employees, and Elise's parents are usually highlights of the show and have some of it's funniest moments
This show always was a diamond in the rough, and that what makes it great but criminally underrated. I'm just glad it was able to actually find a network that would take the pitch.

I *JUST* got the “Bif Wellington/Beef Wellington” joke. When I first watched the show, I don’t think I even knew what a beef Wellington was, and by the time I did, I was so used to Bif’s name that I never made the connection when I rewatched this episode.
See, _that's why_ you never milk the persona of the person you're impersonating. Because it is _that easy_ for them to turn it around on you; I mean, what kind of sick nut actually wants to _become_ the guy he's impersonating? What you're supposed to do, is commit a bunch of crimes while disguised as them, and then point the finger at _them_ when the cops come around. (Hopefully you know to change _out_ of the disguise by then.)
