Every time Derek brings up Hollywood it just makes it clear to everyone how much he holds a grudge against the industry for not giving him his big break. At the same time he can’t help but try to get their attention, what with always trying to get (what he considers) top of the line actors for his work.
Also lol how are you going to establish a budget of 1.2 million because you want actors that aren’t even confirmed to be involved? How can anyone take you seriously? He’d spend the 600k on the actors, $200 on the actual movie, then pocket the rest. Just an absolute grifter.

Even beyond the obvious grotesquerie, for me the worst about this is the real solution is one Derek would absolutely oppose tooth and nail - real gun control laws, including a ban on semiauto weapons and other ridiculous fucking firearms nobody needs unless you're on the front line. So even if this movie got made, it would probably be all sorts of "duck and cover" bullshit.
