      You could export the lab and import it. But, I haven't tested with the DevNet labs, but you shouldn't have any problems doing that. So, save your configs and export the lab when you are finished. Then, when you start the next time, import the saved lab.

    Hi David and many thanks for sharing these wonderful videos, i have got a quick question seeking for your answer based on your long network experience, if you want to buy a machine for networking, virtualization and programming, each one would you pick, pc or mac, if you have the money to buy? cheers

    • @davidbombal
      @davidbombal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally, I would buy a Mac - especially for development - it supports a lot of dev applications natively and much better than Windows - here is an interesting read from DHH (guy who invented Ruby on Rails and a bunch of other stuff): m.signalvnoise.com/back-to-windows-after-twenty-years/ - he tried to use Windows but gave up and went back to Mac.
      Windows is getting better, but still not 100% there. That is just my opinion of course and a lot of people would disagree with me who prefer Windows.

    • @davidbombal
      @davidbombal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is much more advanced than Packet Tracer. Definitely a lot better, but is more complex. In the past we used GNS3 labs, but a lot of people struggled to get GNS3 working. I'll think about labs for CCNA - this may be optional however :)

    Hi David, hope you're well mate. Please tell me, for CCNP Data Center focused on ACI, do you have any recommendations for the training? Primarily on DCCOR. Looks like there's not many resources for the DC path.

  • @meateaw
    @meateaw ปีที่แล้ว

    Your test pinging google isn't particularly effective.
    The issue was clearly related to DNS resolution, and your continuous ping doesn't perform any DNS after it initiates.
    Note the ping time to google even remained low latency after connecting. So when connected it wasn't routing your pings down the VPN.
    Luckily your fix still works regardless. But it's always good to have tests that actually test what you are trying to fix :)

    • @davidbombal

      You can export the labs and save them on your local computer and then import them later. (I have not tested this yet myself however, but CML has that feature)

    Thanks for that David. But what is the difference between Cisco dcloud and CML?

    • @davidbombal
      @davidbombal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      dCloud is used to showcase new technologies mainly to customers. DevNet is helping the Cisco community learn network automation and programmability. CML-E allows a school or university or company to offer lots of labs for students. CML-P is for personal lab study.

      @@davidbombal Thanks for a quick clarification. Your dcloud video helped me a lot as I used to for my CCNP preparation. I was able to create custom labs on that too. But this interface looks better.

    • @davidbombal
      @davidbombal  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jamalahmed2775 Agreed - I think the DevNet labs are going to be easier to use and more reliable. I have had a lot of complaints about dCloud labs not being available any more.
