I wish they would make images like cisco firepower and firepower manager, ise server etc that are necessary for other ccnp paths available in cml . It makes it very hard to be able to study the other paths besides routing and switching ccnp
@@Snorelaxation yes once again poeple pay good money for lab material to cisco just for them to barely give them anything relevante towards to certifications they offer
One thing i really wish Cisco would make, is to make the interface names more like the real hardware. So a switch would have interface gi 1/0 - 24 instead of gi 0/0 - 4.
Great Video David, I think cisco should consider rolling out images in lightweight container format similar to Juniper cRPD, Arista cEOS and Nokia SR Linux.
Hi David, great video! Do you know if it's finally possible to add text / subnets and useful information on the topology? Still the main reason I don't use this product anymore.
Totally agree. This was a tremendous let down and really degraded the usefulness of the XR devices, especially for labbing l2vpn troubleshooting or PoC work
I have a thought that instead of having 10 putty windows, it might be better to use terminal, login to cml and to nodes directly, this is quite simple as on the end of the day - it's linux based. I was using cml with terminal window divided in 4 fields, worked very well. Thereis also possibility of using tabs. I stopped using integrated console because it's hopeless
Signed up last week, was able to effortlessly set it up on my aging esxi 6.7 old desktop-kinda-server and everything seems to work like a charm. Was hoping to install it also on my laptop with VMware workstation but got warning notice about license and had to de-register both then only re-register the esxi. It's a shame.. now can only lab with this at home. Big improvement from Virl 1 which I tinkered with prior a few years back.
Lol. Cisco adds MS Paint in 2023. Good job! Why don’t you stop being ‘the problem’ and allow easy addition of other vendor machines. If you sorted that out with node definitions out of the box, you’d start getting traction. Also stop talking about enterprise, the enterprise stuff is out of reach to anyone who doesn’t work in enterprises. SDaccess anyone?

I totally agree. Who cares about ASA this days? Even for Enterprise certification is usefull. They need to add SD-WAN, SD-Access, etc..
@@ruimiguel1958 yeah exactly the asa image is not helping anybody .
+1 especially the components of those controllers. It is so difficult to understand those stuff without hands-on lab.

@@cocoabread13 you can add FTD or FMCv to CML
This direct contents/interview from Cisco helps to learn new things specially for beginners. Thanks David keep going.

The content 🔥
Thank you very much Vardhan!
2.7 now and its great
this is really a very good sharing.
Thank you very much for the update @David Bombal
Great Video David,
I think cisco should consider rolling out images in lightweight container format similar to Juniper cRPD, Arista cEOS and Nokia SR Linux.
Official Proxmox support ?
The boss of networking 🙌
You're very kind to say that Srinivas, but there are many amazing people out there 😀
Can we add text/interface IP on the topology ????
Yes, this is part of the new annotation feature
David can I run c9500 using an Advantage license ? I would like to know the capabilities of the CML before investing any effort
"4:20" 🤠
Hi David, great video! Do you know if it's finally possible to add text / subnets and useful information on the topology? Still the main reason I don't use this product anymore.
Yes with the annotation feature I believe. I use cml often but that is definitely a game changer now they’ve finally added it lol
How can we have this new CML in packet tracer.
4:21
I would switched the guy on the far right with the middle guy.
wish they would add wireless controllers and access points.
CML feature request: Allow multiple simultaneous packet captures that don't reset if you navigate to a different view.
We are currently exploring switching to a tabbed pane view for vnc, console, and pcap that would allow for this in 2.6
hi, Mr Bombal, i just buy it 2 weeks ago can i do something to get this new features
Can you install the cml in a Mac desktop
Is cml-personal ($199) enough to study ccnp encor, ccnp enarsi and ccnp ensdwi ? :s
no. They give you less than packet tracer and you pay for it
So they have not added SD- WAN?
this is a good question, would be nice if cisco viptela sd-wan is included.
it should have community version for Free
Hi David, Cisco should add Xr l2vpn data plane function. Have you heard from them about it?
Totally agree. This was a tremendous let down and really degraded the usefulness of the XR devices, especially for labbing l2vpn troubleshooting or PoC work

Hey David! Here's an idea for your next giveaway! Otherwise, I personally find the product too expensive for personal use. It should not be like that.
Signed up last week, was able to effortlessly set it up on my aging esxi 6.7 old desktop-kinda-server and everything seems to work like a charm.

Really need tabs and native console like in eve-ng
Why would I pay 200 USD for CML when I can get more features and devices on the EVE-NG community
Will the catalyst 9000 work with meraki dashboard since it's ios xe?
18 per node??? sheesh.
18GB and 4 CPU cores. It is a beast!
18gb meanwhile me with 16gb crying
