Matt! This is incredible. Absolutely perfect. The storytelling, the details! Amazing. The sound design is beyond any other wedding film I’ve seen so far. That you had the audio of the reactions when people walked into the room while the speeches were still on... ugh. Now me and my imposter syndrome will go home. 😂😂😂
THAT INTRO! Great work Matt. Captured thier spirit. As always I find it so easy to enjoy watching the whole of your films.. so much emotion packed into 7+ minutes.
Matt, how can any couple in this world not hiring you for their wedding after seeing this piece of work? I wish I could see their faces after the first time they have seen that movie.
I wish I had the opportunity to record so many voice lines during a wedding day here in Germany. Everything thats going on is in short "I'm nervous, yes I will, welcome to the pary, there's the buffet, lets dance for 5 minutes and then all go and chit chat sitting down until 50% of the guests leave until 11pm". Wedding culture needs to come a long way in Germany.
I’ve always struggled to figure out how much to mix it up or make the video linear (beginning to end). Like going from the party back to the ceremony? It’s so well shot but I’m so torn.
Could you show us a live timeline of this film? With maybe the film itself playing in a small box in a corner? I'd LOVE to see how you transition through songs n such so well. Love this film. You're really starting to open my mind up more to playing with time in my wedding films and it's something I'm going to start experimenting with this Fall!
Matt, i admire you man, i believe you have a gift for this! What a piece of art! I aspire to be on your level one day, dont stop making it more difficult for me to catch up to you! (Even tho i'm miles away lol)
HEY MATT! Thanks for all the videos! They have been more helpful than you know! I think my biggest challenge in wedding videos so far is music. I have watched your videos on the different sites you use, but you seem to use parts of 4 or 5 songs. How to you blend them and edit them so well? Your response is so appreciated! Also do you ever edit other peoples weddings? If so how would I possible go about finding out more information on this?
You are a great inspiration for my own videos. I try to use original tone as much as you do, at the moment I only use two tascams 10, but i had sound problems, too. I will need to learn more about it... But thanks for the great video, to know where I want to go...
Love it! Absolutely flawless!! Super interested in to why the Sony + Nikon glass combo you shoot with?!? What is the advantage of that particular lens/setup when they make an E-mount? If you already touch on this somewhere else, I'd love to watch!
You were in Nashville and didn't even stop by? Great job as usual, your footage looks fantastic. Are you still using a7Sii's? Do you noise reduce? What are all your secrets?
Very interesting storytelling! I feel like some shots and moments could have been more powerfull, if they had more time to breath. The cut rhythm stays really consistent throughout the film. Therefore the keymoments get less emphasis.
I’ve noticed some filmmakers do this mini teaser in the beginning of their wedding films. Starting with regular movie trailers a few years back, which seemed pointless at the time, then Mayad studios and so on. How is that working so far? Seems to grasp attention with high energy footage at the start of the film, to then begin the actual story a little after.
I'm curious to know what lens you used to capture that close-up dancing at the 4:20 mark...I know you like the 50mm, but you can't be that close..can you?
Question: Matt how do you get excellent emotion and audio from your clients. I have done around 5 weddings so far. I tell them to write letters about each other and that usually turns out pretty good. But some weddings there were no toast nor would they have special vows towards each other in the ceremony. Also 2 of the weddings while reading their letters they wrote they will cry and be hard to understand in the audio. Any input would be great because you always kill it on the emotional audio!
Had a lot of fun with the intro for this film! 😍
Learn how I edited it here: weddingfilmframework.com
That intro was a lot of fun!
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson what’s the name of the first person that was speaking?

No, that's fine. Just keep on raising the bar for the rest of us. Haha. Seriously, well done!
Haha thanks! :)
He seriously does! It’s like dang Matt just calm down let the rest of us catch up a bit please. 😂
It is so important for a videographer for the couple to cooperate! This is so lovely

I don't even know this couple and you've made me cry haha....I think this is the best wedding video I have ever seen. Excellent work Matt!
Not only an amazing wedding video, but the storytelling.....WOW!

Me: How does a videocreator this amazing exist?!
Exactly what I was thinking!
How did 5 people thumbs down this...proof there are idiots in the world! Great work, Sir!
I can understand it.... who wouldn't be jealous of that? 😍
We all have different standards. The edit is "ok" at best and the shots are average. Nothing special here. I can see why some wouldn't care for it.
THAT INTRO! Great work Matt. Captured thier spirit.
As always I find it so easy to enjoy watching the whole of your films.. so much emotion packed into 7+ minutes.
Amazing couple I agree, but the film is equally amazing as always Matt! LOVE your work

Speeches really make a wedding film. You always have good speeches.
Now this is a wedding FILM! Well done dude. This was not easy
That was the funniest wedding intro I've ever seen
Haha thanks, the bride's brother was hilarious!
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson aside from that, the sitcom trailer type edit is one for the book! I thought it was a pre roll ad 😂

That shot was 50mm :) There is a mix of 50mm and 85mm during the dancing though.
Slow Motion:
Film with 100 (120) fps or film with 50 (60) fps and Slow Motion later in postproduction? (A7S3)
