@@tari2073 the current town centre isn't enough, considering the population of Chitungwiza is now larger than that of the city of Gweru and the City of Mutare. Chitungwiza is Zim's mini Soweto, it should no longer be just a satellite town, rather a standalone city.
I agree GOZ got away with not creating economic opportunities and service centre for that City by simply calling a dormitory town. It's a big scam that one.. town centre is private sector Which tried to remedy the situation.

Chitungwiza needs a proper CBD of its own. Hiking to Harare for basic services is costly and time consuming.
I think that was the purpose of the Chitungwiza Town Centre
