This was an extremely fun car, Michael and I battled for who was going to drive it constantly. As you can maybe tell by our mannerisms and befuddled wordplay at times it likely reflects how cold it was, hope you enjoy.
Have just bought one of these, having owned a standard 500 for 5 months. I absolutely love it and can't put any music on yet as just love listening to the exhaust. I had the 16" alloys on my 500 so haven't noticed a huge amount of difference with the firmness and find it really comfortable as a daily and certainly more comfortable than my husband's bone-rattling Comp!
Great review, i have a hard top 595 Turismo and although i`m no longer in my 20`s it reminds me of the hot hatches of the 1980`s, but with modern day safety...love it!
Another cool car on your channel. My friend in Cyprus has the model just before this and the normal 500 too. So at Christmas I hope to film them. Keep up the good work guys.
I've had 3 Turismo's now, including the series 4 with the Garrett 1446 turbo, they are superb, absolute riot, that looks like Arnside is it not? Nice review guys
Pete Rowbottom they certainly are, immense fun and yes New Barns, the Knott and the promenade, great spot. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, 695 Rivale next on performance list, 500L first though.
Ray Hunt My son thinks I'm crazy because I'm 73 and want an Arbarth 595. Always loved cars and driving do you think I'm nuts or go for a test drive in one ?
@@PlanetautoUK I intend to! 😊 Thanks. It's got everything except sabelt seats and limited slip diff. 180bhp...🥳 Hard to find a brand new 595 or 695 now. This is the last of the petrol ones. Great review 👍
Well, at least here in Europe the Abarth since generation 3 has a big power failure issue which according to a statement of FCA is built in to keep sure its engine/exhaust noise emissions will stay within legal law, a random, full three seconds power failure which is unacceptable in a hot hatch I am afraid.
I't doesn't as it doesn't have the same turbo, the new Turismo have the Garrett 1446, the base Abarths have the IHI version, while they have similar exhaust notes there is loads of turbo whistle on the Turismo, I used to have turismo's with the old IHI turbo and the sound difference is really noticeable, annoyingly though the new series 4 doesn't pop and bang as much as the older ones :-(

They’re quite forgiving, immense fun and will out-handle virtually anything on a B Road - and that Turbo, enjoy and thank you Jane

Peter Thwaites it’s one of the cars we’ve reviewed that we’d drive every day of the week, it’s amazing and you’ve summed it up perfectly, thank you

mattsbeamer that’d be a great video, thank you

No not at all go for it, they are immense little cars, bens mum at 71 still zooms around in her 206cc S, please keep us posted and thank you Ray
No mate get it bought you live once 😊

Great review 👍
@trevorsomers8344 thank you - yes they’re getting rarer, like our Mk2 Golf 16v - stay tuned lots more vids coming 😀
Very very nice, sounds phenomenal!!!
Joshua Marriott we'd have to agree the sound the 595 makes is amazing
What do you think of the Abarth 695 Ferrari edition? Year 2011
All Abarths are superb, mind you we’re bias 😆
Hi. Thinking off buying the same model. But there's so many poor reviews off this car.
Drive one, that’s what we did, fantastic pocket rocket if that’s what you’re after, come back and tell us what you think Xxx
Ok will do. Looking at 1 this week.
Enjoy it
Great video, turismo is the best abarth imho, since it uses the garrett and has the best looking interiors!
Amazing machine, love the pull of the Turbo and those Koni dampers

Now that’s something we didn’t know and haven’t experienced, thank you *ben
Ohlukei - what do you mean by a power failure? Pls give your source
Good review 👍
Thank you Andy
What I really want to know is: Does any of the car, to your mind, scream “Italian flair and passion”??
joedrums19 in a word yes it screams it from the roof tops, maybe we didn’t mention it enough, though🤨
Really like the car but made the mistake of buying a base model, now desperate for a Turismo !
Steve Lickley it really is a looker and with that electric roof it's the perfect car for the Sunshine.
The base model 595 is awesome n sounds the same as the turismo

If Ben can fit behind himself in an Abarth, anyone can. How come a growing army of car reviewers regard it strictly as a two-seater?
Not a clue Stelios, it’s very strange, a Focus will be 2 seater before we know it 😀
GREAT REVIEW. Please stop clapping your hands lol.
Thank you Michael left in 2019, please check out our later vids Great White and thank you.
does this car have limited slip differential?
It was an option dependant on the year, by the looks of it, thank you
@@PlanetautoUK thank you kindly for fast answer! I'm thinking to get one
Your welcome, exciting - they’re awesome cars, if you like pocket rockets like us, keep us posted on what you get 🚀
This is what we have in the US. At least spec wise
Thank you Steve,
@@PlanetautoUK thanks for the wonderful informational video.
You’re very welcome, awesome motors these
Aww but I really wanted one😔 #17yearold😂
Shonea Holligan we’re not surprised, fun and very fast, another few years 😊
