The TTC on this car does a decent job without the LSD and the car corners very well. I don't think you really need the LSD unless you drive like a lunatic or you're taking this on a track. It's a a really fun car to drive with plenty of grunt for its size and one of the best sounding hot hatches you can buy.
In fact, mechanical diff but only with manual gearbox... For instance, I have made my choise now : ABARTH 695 RIVALE cab 180 HP, AKRAPOVIC exhaust. :-D I had much more powerfull cars once... from 250 to 300 HP but seriously, this pocket rocket gives me much more fun to drive !!! :-( By the way, are you sure with you 5.81" chrono ? Thank you and take care ! :-D
I had a 2010 Esseesse for 5 years from new with 160bhp. It was bags of fun. Back then they all came with an Interscope stereo with sub and CD player and was the best sounding / balanced system I've heard in a car. My Renaultsport Megane replaced it but after 8 years it's costing me a fortune in maintenance. Thinking of going back to Abarth and a 180 Comp with LSD, Xenons and Beats Audio would tempt me. Wouldn't be as capable but just as much fun, given I still miss my old Abarth (which shows how much of a charm it had). Great review
Still got my 2011 Esseesse after 6 years and love it as much now as the day i got it. So reliable and proper old school character, and a potential collectors car for the far future maybe
@@andyhuston8833 my old one is actually up for sale but sadly I don't have the money or space otherwise I'd buy it back in a heartbeat. Only done just over 60k in 13 years and about 17k since I sold it in 2015
We got the equivalent to the Turismo/Esse Esse in the States, 160 hp/175ft/lbs torque. I have a 2018 Abarth Cabrio and I love it. Added the Seletron Chipbox and Go Pedal and it puts the hp around the BiPosto hp and it surprises a lot of people with faster cars.
Seems like a fun car. No idea why they put a 500 logo on the dash though…and it’s ingrained so you can’t get rid of it. And not being able to change the driver seat height is crazy
They put the 500 logo on all Fiat variants to link them back to the original Cinquecento. I think it's overkill though and no numbers need to be on the dash. I wouldn't want 595 on the dash either.
It's a cost cutting thing. Producing a different panel for the Abarth model without that '500' logo would have been an extra expense. Same with the boot handle.
Great review. Abarth was a car that I considered for a very long time. Drove one, and had a loads of fun. My problem is that I don't believe you get good value for money. I had ended up with 2011 Mini Cooper S and very happy with that choice. Even with the money that I had to put into it in a first year of ownership, it's still cheaper than any of the 595's I was looking at.
@@ruben9967 Abarth siting position doesn't especially shouts racing :) I love the idea, just I don't think it's worth paying 6-7 grand euro more for abarth (at the time of purchase of my R56S LCI )
For that drop off on the turbo , a map would sort it but also a FMIC and a cone filter , silicon elbow and the forge Intake. Allows more boost all the way up to 6k
I own a 595 and with my $7,000 AUD in mods (especially the Water/Meth injection) and weight reduction, I would be a fraction behind the second-place time. I absolutely love my Competizione.
this is a standard competizione and doesnt have a mechanical differential. To find that you need to go on a comp with performance pack or a esseesse version!
@@joaopereira3702 TTC is an electronic support which breaks the inner wheel for a more direct turn-in as soon as a loss of traction is detected. It cannot replicate a proper limited slip diff, though, because it "intervenes" too late compared to a mechanical diff. And by applying the brakes it makes the car slower around the corner meanwhile a mechanical diff distributing the power to the outside wheel should make your car faster. If that "tad bit slower" with TTC really matters on a public road, is a different matter.
Agree totally I've driven better cars, cars with A LOT less flaws but I'd happily keep my forever. It doesn't do miles per gallon it does smiles per gallon.
Iam an 18 year old guy and i got this car as my first car a 2022 abarth 595 competizione and its funny how i can out run my friends s5 and my others bmw 420d i truly love this car and insurance is for me 15 usd a month and gas 50-100 depending on how i drive which brings the totalt monthly cost for me to about 310 usd which is a 4th off what i make right now this car is truly a bang for your buck and it allways knows how to make me smile: )
CORRECTION: No DIFF on this model. That only comes with the optional performance pack.
What is DIFF?
@@mislavjelinic5442 The differential. It helps with cornering.

Funny how everyone finds a lot of things wrong with the car but those same people would prefer driving that car over the other ones with more hype
All the people that throws hate to Abarth, never tested one
I've had mine for 4 years, love it
Metal peddles are slippery when wet! Apart from that I am super impressed with mine❤
I've got a 500 arbarth and I love it to me it ticks all the boxes I don't find fault with it city or motorway
You can get spec option of beats speakers and space saver woofer great sounds compared to the standard option

What's it like compared to a mini cooper coup? Need a change as it's costing a fortune and the Mrs needs an automatic small sporty car 🤔👍
Have you ever used Lane 1 ?
They produce the most torque at 3000 rpm!
