Awesome video. I watch it near exam time to remind me what a great privilege it is to study here.

A truly incredible video! It was even more impressive in person. I was honored to be able to attend the dedication and see the new building. We are entering a truly exciting chapter of such an influential department, and I am sure the faculty and students will continue to be at the forefront of innovation and research. Many thanks to the donors and the State of Illinois for their support of ECE's vision and future.

It's really striking that the makers of this video didn't find a single female professor or student to highlight in this video reel. It's not like there aren't notable women in engineering on this campus or in its history. Please try to represent us too.

To the commenter who complained my 'feminist glasses' don't let me recognize that 'there were no diverse men' - actually there WERE several diverse men. C. T. Sah, Alfred Cho, Y. T. Lo, M. Al-Hakkak, Kanti Jain, Andrew Yang, Milton Feng, Wei-Mei Hwu, and Jay Patel all got shout-outs. It doesn't take a feminist to notice when there are dozens of men portrayed without a single woman mentioned. That tendency to overlook us is endemic in the science and technology fields, and Illinois values inclusiveness. Please include women in your inclusions.

Thank you so much for expressing your opinion and completely ruining the point of a well-made video! I am sure the makers did not intend for female exclusion. Why can't you sit back and enjoy the video instead of finding faults with it? Your 'feminist glasses' are indeed a problem. Please try to represent feminists better.

I say that these are women who gave birth to these wonderful men.
