    Love the hesitation when you realise the valves were open when you clipped the service line to the vehicle...

      Lol I was going to do a giveaway also but they let me know they are getting low on stock as they are selling them so I had to pump the brakes 😂

    Cool! Just started learning more about HVAC. Does a kit like this work for home use? Central air, etc.

      I don't see why it wouldn't, pressure is pressure. May require a fitting but I think they are universal based on the refrigerant

    I strongly recommend did you get a electric vacuum pump. Air-powered venturi pumps can never draw a deep enough vacuum.

      This got plenty of vacuum my AC gets cold, my issue is my fan is dead

      @@BrailsfordsRides You can't boil off moisture with a air-powered venturi vacuum pump and it doesn't pull a deep vacuum, no matter how you try to spin it. This venturi pump can only pull 100,000 microns, which is noe enough, dispite your clams. It should be no more than 500. Otherwise, you will still have moisture in the system and that moisture will make the refrigerant corrosive.
      Regardless of sales literature, I believe you won't be able to boil much water out of an automotive system with the vacuum level produced by a venturi pump. I was able to see that by using my micron gauge. I believe air powered a/c vacuum pumps aren't very well suited for use in an automotive service shop unless you plan on hacking these things apart to make other cool air powered vacuum devices. We have several very useful items in the shop that derive their power from the guts of a venturi pump.
      Summary
      If you plan on servicing A/C systems, and want professional results, invest in a good electric vacuum pump. It's not uncommon to get ten or more years of service from a good electric pump. As an option for the do-it-yourself mechanic, some tool rental companies now rent electric vacuum pumps on a daily or hourly basis. That may be a better option versus overworking your air compressor for an hour or more, just to get mediocre results.

      @@shannontrainer5857 Not a bad suggestion, on my 350,000 mile Sequoia Ill risk the venturi, but if I have to do it on one of my nicer cars on the channel I will definietly rent a pump per your suggestion

    So you unplugged an electric fan and expected what outcome other than it not spinning? It is not an electro viscous fan clutch. A more sensible approach would be checking for power and ground at the plug and then going from there based on results.

    • @BrailsfordsRides
      @BrailsfordsRides  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm explaining that the radiator fan is causing the AC fan to spin regardless of it's plugged in or not. I was showing that it is not working at all
