    *Best layman terms for fittings is to treat them as a spin on oil filter.*
    Recommending to lubricate the gaskets / seals with compatible lubricant such as a Pag or Ester, in a pinch silicone spray lube when assembling the gauge set. Helps prevent them from being pinched drying out. They really shouldn't need more than finger torque spec.

    Great video I’m new to using these gauges and I wasn’t totally sure how to assemble them. So I thank you for taking the time to help me.

    Thanks for this video and the other one on vacuuming your system. I just wanted to point out i had an issue where the yellow hose was connected backwards (one side had a rubber seal the other did not) I didnt notice at the time and when i was installing freon it leaked badly...Just wanted to point this out for other people so you dont make the same mistake as me.

    Thank you for a great film. I have the set similar to the one fm/the film, but never used it yet. And if I just want to check if any freon is left, should I still run the car, or I can just connect the hoses (I think yellow hose should go into the 2nd for it hole on the Manifold, so the system is closed) and see the readings? Thank you again.

      If you want to see if you have any refrigerant left, just tap the low and high side re-fill ports with a pen; like you would a bicycle tire Schrader valve

    So the knobs on front of the manifold only open/close the charge hose? Or do i have to open the knobs to get my static/dynamic pressure readings once the manual couplers are hooked up, or once i hook up the manual couplers the pressure readings will be present regardless of position of knobs on manifold.

      If you want to learn how it works hooked up, I have a video for that. It's in the same playlist as this one :)

    Thanks for this Video. @ 2.09...For the Yellow tube , vacuum machine or the r134a CAN don’t have Schrader valve and on the other end manifold also don’t have Schrader valve, In this case will the metal insert for opening the Schrader valve if it is used in the vacuum side (for vacuuming) or for Charging refrigerant will impede the flow? Should we remove the metal insert there? Please comment

      You can just twist the connector a little bit until you see freon coming out

      R290 is refrigerant grade propane, but some of the cans have different sizes for tapping.
      7/16" K-28 - amzn.to/3y1l17e
      or
      the one listed in this video description.
      or maybe even others
      I wouldnt know without knowing the can size

    Since all of your hose connections do not require the pressing of a Schrader valve, does it matter which hose end gets hooked up to the manifold set?

    • @TutorialGenius
      @TutorialGenius  ปีที่แล้ว

      as long as flare meets flare, i dont see why not

    So on the flare side, no teflon tape. What about the other end if it needs to be replaced? Or the gauges if they need to be replaced?

      As they say: If it's flare, go bare. If it's straight, wrap it up when you mate

    My rental gauges look like that one. My yellow hose has a Schrader valve on one end. The other side is an open hole. Which connection goes on the manifold side? Does it need to be swapped depending on whether pulling a vacuum or filling with refrigerant?

    • @TutorialGenius
      @TutorialGenius  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you put the Schrader valve on the manifold side, how will the valve open?

      @TutorialGenius  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not upside down. This is direct from the manual

    When you press the centre Schrader to purge air from the yellow hose, isn’t there still air trapped in the centre of the manifold?

    • @TutorialGenius
      @TutorialGenius  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it'll get purged! If you have a new set of gauges, its really useful to blow in the holes with your mouth so you understand the passages and how they're connected. I hope you subscribe to my channel soon
