I have been with Weight Watchers for over 40 years, I have been a lifetime member from the start of that 40 years. Am I always at Goal, no; but EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM that they have ever rolled out, I have lost weight on, if I needed to lose weight. The bottom line is, that it works, IF you follow it. Their program is evidence based. Embrace the changes folks, they are for a reason !!! I trust WW!!!
I think WW’s worst mistake was the rebrand and focus on wink-wink “wellness.” I agree that pivoting to embracing their roots can help their business so much!
I also did leave WW about 2-3 months ago. I lost my first 75 pounds on WW. However, since they changed the plan last November, it’s a struggle to lose any weight. So a few months ago I started intermittent fasting and I am doing an anti-inflammatory diet. I am losing weight now and feeling better. WW was easy to follow however, it did encourage highly inflammatory foods that aren’t good for you.
I also quit WW over the summer, after having lost about 60 lbs on the pre-Personal Points Plan and then struggling under Personal Points. But I have also struggled having no plan at all. I don't want to be someone who needs a diet to tell them what to eat/not eat, but I also don't want to be the size that I am. So I'm a bit adrift at the moment!
I started on Blue plan and lost weight, PP was confusing and I started slowly gaining. I had to quit over the summer for financial reasons and just came back mid-September. My weight has been up and down. I’m SO happy they’re making a change this year. Thanks for the info!
Thank you. I used to love going to meetings but stopped when they started playing psychologist and talking about things like cleaning the clutter out of my drawers and closets to help make a good mindset for change. I was thinking how this is my 30 minutes dedicated to me and my weight loss journey and I didn’t come here to talk about my closets. I loved those days of sharing Thanksgiving recipes, etc. Also, I work on a computer every day, all day, I loved the slide rule and using it at the grocery store as an alternative source, I also love the ability to scan points but sometimes you just want to get off the phone, computer, tablet and make it real life again!
I lost 60 pounds on Freestyle, and maintained and hit goal with Blue during covid. I had a baby and gained during breastfeeding with personal points. I am slowly, slowly, slowly losing what I gained during bfing when I stopped in July. I loved Blue so I am so happy it's coming back. Meetings were essential to me, and my local weight watchers got rid of my meeting since covid. Truly hoping they bring back more meetings!
I agree with you about attending meetings. I am lifetime and have been for 6 years and I couldn't have done it with the app alone. I got such great ideas and recipes from talking to other people. You are the first person I have watched on youtube that really has a good grasp of WW. I see people working the plan their way which never works.
I've been a lifetime WW since 1989 when they had their exchange program prior to their current point system. I managed to maintain my weight for over 10 years without much effort. Many people like myself may have been a problem with WW's business practice. After having children and the weight crept on over the years, I went back many times over with various point programs. My hypothesis is WW's is constantly creating a return customer business model. Everyone knows that most cannot maintain tracking their food for the rest of their life. The exchange program of the past was simpler as far as knowing how to portion food. I'm not hating on WW's. They have done an amazing job helping me understand how to maintain a healthy life as far as eating more fruits and vegetables and exercising as a young woman. However, WW is a business after all.
I liked the Exchange System better too. I've done WW at least 5 different times over 40 yrs. I just joined again(personal reasons), I hope this "New" program works and isn't more of the old disappointments. I'll know soon enough.🤷🏻♀️
I attend my first WW meeting today since 2019. I tried digital a couple times but no go for me. The big difference for me is the meetings. I weighed in .5 less then my lifetime goal. And surprisingly got free etools right away and help getting it setup. I need to loose about 10 pounds because of arthritis in my knees and a burning desire to get back to running. Both my doc and pt recommend going back to WW. I’m glad for the changes. My meeting is with a new leader and in a new place. She said relax we will know everything by thanksgiving. And quit listening to “leaked info”. Really glad I went. Glad for their changes.
My leader said to make sure we had ‘our butts in a chair next week’ so I’m sure there will be an announcement of some kind. Maybe not a release, but at least an announcement.
I went to Healthi this month because it allows me to track my calories and points. I don't think I was eating enough before. So I would just fall off the plan because I was hungry all the time. The cost is way less too. It's $30 a year.
I am glad the blue like plan is coming back. I had success on it. The PP plan was to complicated. I hope more in person meetings come back in areas that were closed during the pandemic.
I dropped WW back in April, as PP wasn't working for me. I had much success with the Blue plan, so I just went back to it on my own and lost the last few pounds down to my goal weight. I will continue to follow the basic structure of Blue to keep the weight off and keep me on track. If it isn't broken- don't fix it, IMO. Love your insights!
I so agree I have been having to do the digital format since start of Covid and your right it is so lonely. Yes there was some zoom meetings but I personally don’t do well with zoom for connecting and help with accountability.
I've been on and off Weight Watchers since 1-2-3 Success Days (although I really got into it with the next iteration, the Turnaround program...aka Core and Flex... I am 45, so literally since I was a late teen). To be honest, I haven' really enjoyed Weight Watchers since Pro Points because I find this excessive focus on macros has added too much anxiety to my choices, which messes with my already complicated feelings about food. Like, I was find just counting Calories, Fat, Fiber and Protein, and it was easier to get a general sense of points value just by glancing at the label. I also preferred the mental health "tools for success" of old, which I found more helpful than this newer wellness approach, which is big on generalities and low on actual tips. I also missed those little water/milk/healthy oils check boxes, because that kept me conscience to include those. I was truly most successful pre-Pro Points, and have struggled ever since because of all they abandoned in favour of freestyle. I need a bit more guided structure. Now I find it cumbersome to have to enter everything macro listed just to get a point value (oh, but make sure to exclude my o points food from the overall label value). Pro-points has made it worst of it all because it made it even that much harder, cumbersome, obsessive, and removed the common community aspect I enjoyed. I also question the "the science has changed" mantra. Not really. Peer-reviewed science has been pretty consistent for two solid decades, with minor adjustments here or there. It certainly doesn't change every year or every other year just to accommodate their propriety points program. Sorry for the long rant. But I will see how this program actually is, but I might just pull out my old cardboard slider and go back to what actually worked, and helped, not hindered, my mental health when it comes to food.
I agree with everything you wrote. My mom has lost 70 pounds this year using her old cardboard slider and books. I started using the Healthi app to do that old Weight Watchers program too and have lost 46 since March. It cost me $30 for the whole year. They have all the old programs before PP, plus you can track calories and macros at the same time if you want.
I've been on the plan for 40 years, not always successfully. It reached goal in 2011 but only when I learned to only focus on nutrition. It is always a business, I didn't like many of the leaders, found them very lacking. I'm very short, 61, and have had some physical issues. I felt they cheer for the tall successful people who easily lost, while not supportive of those who struggle to lose. As a business they really focus on their easy wins. I really started liking the digital experience, then they dropped it. When the coaches left I did too. I will wait and see before even considering going back.
Joined last January. Never knew anything different. Had very good results 35 lbs gone - and needed to go to get BP down. Hope the new one doesn’t make me feel too restricted.
If it's anything like the previous Blue plan it won't be nearly as restricting as the personal points plan. A lot of us had great success during the Blue plan but quit the personal points plan as it was too restrictive.
I’m so frustrated with this PP plan. Gained weight from the pandemic and can’t lose it with this plan. So excited they’re rolling out a new one. Heard it is similar to the blue which is where I lost all my weight. Coming fingers. New to your channel as of this video!
Ugh…,sounds like I’m the lone dissenter. “Freestyle” was an absolute disaster for me. Couldn’t even stabilize my weight on it, little lone LOSE weight!!! So the shift to colors (team green worked great) got me back on track and some easy tweaks kept me on it with Personal Points. So back to ANYTHING close to Freestyle just means weight gain for me! Looking at Noom.
As a person who started on WW in February 2022 personal points was the only plan I have ever known. I can tell you that I followed the plan and it was a lot easier with the app than other plans I have tried in the past and I have lost over 50 lbs in the last 9 months. I guess I have to change to this new plan so we will see how that works out for me.
I actually started WW when they had the CORE plan along with another plan. Core was a lot like purple, so when they went to the colors, I chose purple. I hate hate hate PP and agree with you that WW made a huge misstep when they changed from Weight Watchers to WW and wanted to act like it's about health and wellness even though you still have to weigh in and the scale was the only measure of success as far as payment. I think PP made it less of a community and more about personal, which is NOT what we as a community are looking for. We are family!! So, I am thrilled that they are going "backwards" so to speak. I have been lifetime for almost 15 years and have seen a lot of plans come and go, but I think this is a smart move on their part and I am thrilled. I would prefer purple, but I can deal with blue lol I may even choose diabetic and see if that works for me as well.
I was a leader when Core came out and it was Flex and Core. I loved that plan. Got to and maintained my lowest weight with Core and felt so good. I now have about 30lbs to lose right now. I let illness, injury and menopause derail me.
@@barbarazysk8507 I'm sorry you were ill and praying you are feeling better!! I'm right there with you on some weight gain. I need to get back to goal and I'm thrilled that they are moving away from the PP plan. It took away community and I hated that!! Back to family and community! You did it before, you can do it again!!
My WW experience (online) has been very frustrating. I have lost and gained the same 3-5 pounds for months. I hate the free foods and I have been trying to get to a class for months. In my town, in store WW is only open a few hours x a few days a week. It does feel lonely trying to figure things out. And so expensive for what? I agree with it. I don't even know if I want to keep going with WW.
HI Kim -Actually Barrett Pastor did a great video on all things related to this new plan and she brings up a lot of these points. She mentioned the Diabetic plan being created by a non medical individual. You should maybe watch it. I do like your channel. No shade love.
LOVED your video and perspective I am so looking forward to this new plan and hoping they officially go back to Weight Watchers and focus on weight loss I hated this plan and their wellness attitude Thank you for your video and best wishes for a speedy recovery
I'm in UK. I lost almost 2st on the blue plan about 3/4 years ago. COVID came along and I regained a few pounds. Rejoined just around the time pp came into being. I'm stuck at same weight. Lost heart and left after subs ended. It's put me off going back. I loved the studio I went to as everyone was so supportive towards each other. I'll see what happens
Thanks for the thought. FYI. We are are older women not old women. Weight watchers used to be more concerned with their clients and less concerned with with their financials. If they cared more for their clients, the company would improve earnings.
Sharon Miller. Amen to that! Up until about 10 yrs ago, Weight Watchers was an encouraging, inviting, Client Based Business. Then, Everything changed and it felt so Clinical and Depressing. The Workshop Leaders never seemed to ever have a pleasant mood about them or they were merely "Sales Agents" for WW Products. Then Workshops shut down and Meetings with their Comraderie disappeared. I wonder some days, if Jean Nieditch would be shaking her head and rolling over in her grave, seeing what Weight Watchers is becoming. Simpler and Older was better and It Worked.
I really hope they bring more in-person meetings back. We haven’t had one in my area since COVID hit. There appears to be no plans to bring them back in my area at least until Spring 2023 because my lifetime membership has been extended to April 1. I love my virtual meeting but it’s definitely not the same, nor as motivating as in-person.
Our community is small but had a very special dedicated group at our workshop but they quit having meetings here so if any of us wanted to go to in person meetings we have to drive an hour away. I personally can’t do it all online so I am no longer a member and most of our group are no longer members either. We depended on each other for support at are local meetings but we were to small in WW’s eyes and didn’t make enough money for the company.
I went to Weight watchers many years ago when the plan was quite simple where you had so many selections from each food group We all lost weight on that program quite well without the focus on calories points and other things Now I am doing a rather loose version of the ketogenic diet and is working really well for me I enjoyed the old version of Weight watchers and I am glad that I went because it gave me structure when I was just all over the place But it was not necessary in the long-term and now that I know a lot about food I can just make wise choices without having to think about it
Hi Kim, I also quit WW over the summer. I was not finding the PP plan effective for me. I tried to retake the questionnaire several times and the result was increased confusion. I like the idea of going back to the basic blueish plan because that’s where I had most of my success. I do miss the tools, like points calculator and recipe builder, so I may go back if the feedback is good.
I can't remember what the name of the plan that they had before they did the colors, but it worked for me. Maybe it was smart points? They change the program too much. It makes the expensive recipe magazines worthless. They are in the product sales business and member's actual weight loss is secondary.
I'm Lifetime below goal but I've gained some on PP. Lost most of my weight on Freestyle but went on 💜 when MyWW came out. The difference between the two is they will be using the current algorithm us adding popcorn and ff cottage cheese to 0 points list. And they still will offer a diabetic plan. Can't wait to get rid of PP. Also Sima is going back to more in person meetings and got rid of 360 digital that had their own virtual workshops. Plus she brought back WeightWatchers as a name.
I lost 54 lbs on blue- gained 7 back on PP. Healthi was ok but not best fit. I rejoined WW and am eagerly awaiting the changes. I love the community and app, just not PP
I live in a small rural town but we had a great support system with our meeting until they closed ours. So now if we want to attend a in person meeting we have to drive an hour away. Most of us quit.
I agree Weight Watcher name should come back. I did go back before this change was announced but was happy when I heard of change coming. I got in for 6 months at $15 a month cheapest I’ve seen for years Hoping I can make it this time
With the new pricing offers, I’m really thinking of going back. They are really pushing to increase membership as I’m sure that’s what shareholders want.
I had no success on the blue plan - I’m loosing a ton on personal points and I feel so satisfied! I just have lean meats eggs veg and fruit as my zeros. I’ve been tracking in a calorie counter also just to see and I’m eating about 1700 cals a day!
I follow Weight Watchers for many years. I go up and down. I had more success on the blue plan. I did like going to mtgs, they closed after the pandemic. Now that I moved, too far to attend mtgs. Thanks for the info 😊
Agree that just digital would be very lonely so doesn’t make sense to me why they are discontinuing the 1:1 coaching option membership or offering that as a separate service.
I agree in terms of the centers. It did vary by location. In Forest Hills, NY they used to have an amazing group of leaders and were in a very prime retail location. Then b/c of rising rents they moved to a pokey little room above some stores in a less convenient area. It sort of lost the energy it had. When Jean Naiditch started the program it was geared for housewives who needed support. I still think the majority of their target audience are women and they generally work now and have less time to go in for meetings. As well, the cost of real estate is high given the amount of time the space sits empty versus actual meetings. Also, I don't think people care so much if they're counting calories or points. If you ask WW about the points vs calories, they give you the whole shpiel about it being scientifically calculated with carbs/fat/fiber, etc., but at the end of the day it's calories in v/s calories out and their points amount to a similar caloric sum as if you were counting calories. So maybe if they switch to an optional calorie allotment (years ago with the original exchange based plan you did get optional calories for things like sweets or extra carbs or fat) it would be more attractive in that people can look at a nutrition label and know if they can add it to their daily tally quicker than if they have to put it through a points calculator. You look fabulous and are an inspiration...keep on doing your thing!
I agree. The Exchange Program was actually easier and just as effective than the points aspect. Easier to understand and easier to track. Points just boggles some people's minds and more than Calorie Counts.🤷🏻♀️ Like with other things; The more changes they try to make, the more complicated they make it. The original purpose gets lost.
I was on WW Personal Points for 4 weeks. I lost 10 pounds but the plan triggered restriction/binging and constant hunger. I never could figure out the "best" combination of foods. I am ok using the program online only because I never got anything out of meetings. I have been using WW since 1992. I started out when WW was using the exchange program. I reached my goal losing 40 pounds. A couple of years after that I went back to lose baby weight and WW was using the 1 2 3 Success Program. This was the easiest WW program I have done. I lost weight and never felt restricted. When I did not want to cook, I could enjoy a frozen diet entree and salad and not use up half a day's points. Lost the weight, stopped going and gained back the weight. I have tried several of the programs that came after 1 2 3 Success, and none have worked that well. I had some success on the Blue plan but I felt very restricted and after 6 months I topped losing weight when I had 50 more pounds to lose. I got discouraged and stopped.
@@Sandusko Yes, Me too. I've done WW off and on for 40 yrs(more off than on🤷🏻♀️). I too am on the Pre-Online Aspect bandwagon. The program should be User Friendly and Simple. Not, have you reliant upon Technology or "The Company" for your success. But...🤷🏻♀️We'll see what this New program brings us.
On the Personal Points plan, brown rice, brown rice pasta, and avocados were zero point foods, which was very problematic since those are my *danger* foods!! just came back after the holidays and it feels like sanity is restored!
I wish they had kept the digital 360 option or at least made that part of the regular digital and just up the price like they have. I found it to be the most helpful peice of making the personal points work. Sure there are meetings and I've been to them over the course of 20 years but they aren't the same. The lives, the weekly discussions, recipe demos, mini workouts/stretching and even breathing/meditation walk though video I watched was helpful. Once they ditched that, I felt no need for WW. It was really like having a personal health coach
I loved pp. It is the only weight watchers plan I have lost on (tried freestyle and blue with only gains) I felt in control. I loved the coaching. I also hated the slow, "unidentified source" leak with this change. It felt super shady. I have decided to leave because of that especially.
I lost 64 pounds in 71 and 72 worked 12 years as a receptionist and it loved then. It just fell apart, now in Calgary Alberta Canada its not the same hardly any meetings and the last plan was impossible my weight is still good for 82 year old but I would be interest in more info on the new plan.
I don't mind personal points, I didn't think it was overly complicated but I can understand that side. Last year when it first started, I did the 3 month trial and lost 10 pounds. Now I signed up again for the 6 month plan for $10/month. I think $23/month is too much especially when the point scanner is broken.
First off. Thank You for your honesty.. I would really like to share my experience. 6 years ago I dropped four dresses on Weight Watchers. I went from a size 22 to a Jr size 8. But. Even thought not ever missing a day that I have not counted my points all of a sudden with no medication or health problems the weight came back on. I have now struggled with 15 pounds and one dress size gain. The plan any of them blue purple green any have NOT helped me to lose. Now this new one which is not New at all just the green one without the color. There is no maintenance plan there are no work shops in small suburbs anymore. The 24 hour q a is a joke. Your concerns are met with genetic answers. Weight Watcher is quite frankly a hype. I still do the points and people check the points on ww food and regular store bought food it's the same. Again thank you for your honest website I will continue to watch and subscribe. And agree most of the ww reduced calories recipe are so full of fake food ingredients a lot of work doing nothing for your health. Margie Az.
I lost all of my weight way back on Points Plus. When Freestyle came out it was horrible for me. I can't eat eggs, I'm not someone who eats chicken for snacks etc.. I felt really rundown and not well. So, then came the colour plans and did great on Green. If freestyle is the new plan I think I'll use the Healthi app. 🤷♀️ Thanks for your video! :)
Ya’ll would have loved Weight Watchers from Points Plus back. They were organized, simple and structured. I just don’t know what went wrong after that.
The PP plan we lost the community and sharing with others what works with others. WW costs has really gone up and I think they will have to really work hard to bring back the people they lost. I came back during PP plans and was so disappointed in the plan and myself for not losing but working the WW plan 😭😭😤😤
I'm excited for the changes. I've struggled with personal points all year after losing 50 lbs on my WW in 2021. Good luck with your surgery! P.S. I love your shirt!! Any idea where you got it?
Thank you! It’s actually a dress from Loft. It’s a couple years old but this one is similar: www.loft.com/shimmer-plaid-tiered-dress/601620?skuId=34017524&defaultColor=2222&catid=catl000013&selectedColor=&selectedColor=2222
I've been paying for my WW and needed to cancel but have been too lazy. I loved the green plan. I've gained back all the weight. Hated the personal points, never could get on board with it.
Does it seem like this plan is being rushed out? Usually it’s on a 2 year cycle and all of a sudden it’s changing after 1 year. One week someone at my meeting asked about a new program and literally the next week there was rumors. Way too rushed. Could they have done enough research other than ‘let’s bring blue back’? My question is why not green or purple? I know just as many people who liked those colors.
I appreciate the points you made! It will be interesting to see what happens. Oh btw when you were talking about a recipe, you said it came from an old lady. You expressed some concern about the way you stated it. Just a respectful suggestion…“older” lady is usually a little more respectful. Not a big deal -just a suggestion 😊
I’m so tired of them changing it up. I did points plus a long time ago and it worked so much. Now, these plans don’t work for me as a vegan/vegetarian.
Closing meeting/workshop locations didn’t help. I have to drive 45 minutes to get to the closest center to weigh in. Not to mention that there aren’t as many meetings that fit into my schedule
I have been on WW since 2010 and have lost about 75 pounds. I dont understand this new plan. I dont understand how 12 oz of Salmon goes from 15 points to 0 points. How 12 oz of chicken goes from 8 points to 0 points. It just doesnt make sense to me.
I only ever did the digital experience but hated Personal Points. I lost 50 pounds on the app when it was the Blue plan but the Personal Points plan was too restrictive I found myself cheating more and gaining. I'm going to sign back up on the new plan since it supposedly like the previous Blue plan. But I doubt I'd ever go to a meeting. I'm too much of an introvert lol! Good luck with the new plan.
I just don't like personal points and I'm glad we're going to a different program. I've been lifetime for years but the personal points thing was just not working for me.
I first joined Weight Watchers (it wasn't WW back then!) in 1969. Yes, that's right. I'm ancient! In those days, the plan was super strict. I still remember it: no sugar, 2 pieces of bread a day, 2/3 cup of cereal for breakfast, 4 ounces of fish at lunch, 6 ounces of chicken or fish at dinner, beef only three times a week, two cups of milk a day, three pieces of fruit. For weight watcher cookies, we grated an apple into powdered milk and formed "cookies." Yes, as delicious as they sound (not!). Anyway, yes, I lost weight, over the years gained some back, went back on weight watchers and have repeated this over decades. The thing is, Weight Watchers works, but so do a lot of plans. Some people reach their goal weight and stick to it, but others, like me, hit their goal, then over the next few years the pounds creep back on. I was most recently on the plan about ten years ago, and found it easy. Then they changed the plan and point system and once I got used to it, they changed it again. I finally quit. I also was getting tired of calculating how much exercise I was doing to trade in for food points. My objection to WW is similar to any weight loss program: you start thinking of food in terms of points and ounces and if you go over your limit for the day, you think, well, since I didn't stick to the plan today I may as well keep eating. I may go back to plain old calorie counting!
I really enjoyed reading your post! Same for me with joining way back then! I was just out of high school! The only thing that I can remember that you didn’t mention was the liver once a week and oh; the foods on program were considered “legal”… lol! Life goes by so quickly! Blink your eyes and we’re old!! Good luck with your endeavors. I’m still going by the Blue Plan and it’s moving very slowly this time around. I’m close to goal and anxious to get there again and stay there!
@@rideshaq Just saw your post! Congratulations on being close to your goal--your post is a couple of months old, so perhaps you're already at goal weight! Yes, I forgot to mention liver on the old plan. I absolutely couldn't stomach it (ha!) so that was the part of the plan I didn't follow in the olden days!
@@GEKENILWORTH Had been following the Blue Plan but not losing… maybe too many zero point foods(?). Had intestinal surgery a couple of weeks ago and now on full liquids until end of year so we’ll see! Cheers!
I too, have been tempted to rejoin. I miss the recipe part surprisingly enough. Thanks for the research about the diabetic side of it. Very interesting.
I’ve never understood why They change so many times. I lost on points plus and hated smart points that came after. So if I want to lose some pounds I go to points plus as I still have the booklets and calculator AND I don’t have to pay anything. Just my opinion.
I was a diehard WW for many years. I gained about 20 lbs last year after the death of my boss who was my close friend. I switched over to keto in July and I’m enjoying it I quit WW for good this summer
If Abbott is part of the strategic partner plan, THEN meds will be part of the plan. Beat Diabetes is a YT channel that helps type 2s drop their A1Cs just by diet. But using a meter is key to knowing how your individual body reacts to individual foods.
I have at least 100+ pounds to lose with Type 2 Diabetes, PCOS and Hashimotos Thyroiditis - I am really struggling to find a way to lose weight and it’s causing me to lose motivation
I was on the blue plan and lost 26lbs in 2020. I gained some back. So I joined a month ago and at first I liked the new program because I was able to eat things I enjoyed for 0 pts. But I have only lost 1 pound in a month. I am working the plan and I am within my points. I am walking and yet I am gaining every week. So frustrating. The 24/7 live coach app was not helpful at all. Even the meeting were not really helpful to provide one on one support to figure out what is going on.
Kim, I love your blouse! Can I ask you where you bought it? I have lost over 90 pounds so far and I have about 30 left to go. I went from a size 2X/3X down to mediums and larges and I am so excited to buy new clothes.
Congratulations on your weight loss! It’s so fun to buy new clothes. The dress is a couple years old but Loft has something similar: www.loft.com/shimmer-plaid-tiered-dress/601620?skuId=34017524&defaultColor=2222&catid=catl000013&selectedColor=&selectedColor=2222
I feel like it works for people like me who have a lot ( A LOT) to loose and get a nice amount of points to use. I don't know how people can live on like 16-22ish points per day once they are closer to goal. That just seems like a starvation diet. I don't like the PP.
Very unhappy with the new changes. Unfortunately I won’t be renewing for another year. Ww took away my tailored plan with my daily rewards for eating extra vegetables and water intake. I loved my zero point foods that now have all changed. Not for me! Gutted
You read between the lines well. There is so much competition in the digital weight loss market that, I believe, ww will need to drop the price of their digital subscription.
Having been lifetime since 1986, I actually liked personal points and will not look forward to new/old plan. For example, I can't eat chicken, so for a protein this doesn't work as a zero point food.
I dusnt mind pp. I a m purple and I am staying purple. I refuse to point oatmeak. I plan to track on healthi weigh in at ww lifetimer for the time being. I will not be surprised if ww is sold within the next two years.
Have they ever abandoned a plan so quickly? For me it's a retrograde step as I loved PP and have been more successful on it than other schemes. But generally if one is loosiing weight on any plan and it suddenly changes it feels like the rug has been pulled from underneath ones feet!
What if you're on the diabetic plan because you chose it, not because you have diabetes? I switched to the diabetic plan a few months ago because I wanted to eat low carb and am too lazy to double track. It's been working amazing for me and I want to stay on it. Do you think I'll be able to if I don't have diabetes?
I have been with Weight Watchers for over 40 years, I have been a lifetime member from the start of that 40 years. Am I always at Goal, no; but EVERY SINGLE PROGRAM that they have ever rolled out, I have lost weight on, if I needed to lose weight. The bottom line is, that it works, IF you follow it. Kelpaa it simple. Its food how many ways can you change that eat this not that crazy
I also have been a gold member for over 40 years (1979) and yes they all work if you follow 💪🏻
So how many pounds have you both lost over the years and how much money have you spent on it.
If it works why do you have to keep doing them?
So why still with them?
I feel ya! I really like the structure that WW can provide. It’s super helpful for me.
Hear what you’re saying. Read the very first comment in this thread. Cuts right to the bottom line.
I started on Blue plan and lost weight, PP was confusing and I started slowly gaining. I had to quit over the summer for financial reasons and just came back mid-September. My weight has been up and down. I’m SO happy they’re making a change this year. Thanks for the info!
Best of luck! Thank you for watching!
I miss getting my little rewards at meetings. It’s crazy how I would get so excited about those little charms or free bars.
Thank you!
Get back to basics hopefully . They have Lost members and money big time. Its going to be awhile to get that back.
I think that community is so important! I have not gotten that on the app.
@@kmtruesdell I agree. Everyone cheering each other on and sharing in their accomplishments.
Thank you for watching! Congratulations on finding what works. That’s awesome 👏
That's exactly my story. I'm sticking with pp, mostly because I gained a bit, and really want to get to my goal weight again
Agree! I lost weight on 123 success too! That plan worked! I would love to get the materials.
Thanks for your input. Found it refreshing!
I haven’t had much luck with PP and looking forward to the “new plan”.
Glad you got to that point in your weight journey. Some people like myself have no self control and WW has helped create a structure for us.
Joined last January. Never knew anything different. Had very good results 35 lbs gone - and needed to go to get BP down. Hope the new one doesn’t make me feel too restricted.
Love to hear that, Robin!!
If it's anything like the previous Blue plan it won't be nearly as restricting as the personal points plan. A lot of us had great success during the Blue plan but quit the personal points plan as it was too restrictive.
ive loved PP but looking forward to new plan to start ... always nice to shake things up
I’m so frustrated with this PP plan. Gained weight from the pandemic and can’t lose it with this plan. So excited they’re rolling out a new one. Heard it is similar to the blue which is where I lost all my weight. Coming fingers. New to your channel as of this video!
Fingers crossed here, too. Thank you for watching!
Joined in 1971 Lost 64 pounds it was a good plan. Keeping it Off still
I actually started WW when they had the CORE plan along with another plan.
Thank you 😊
Yes, pp doesn't work well for me. I hope blue comes back!!
I agree, the meetings are important, ACCOUNTABILITY!!!
Thanks for the thought. FYI. We are are older women not old women. Weight watchers used to be more concerned with their clients and less concerned with with their financials. If they cared more for their clients, the company would improve earnings.
I wish they weren’t a for profit company
It's a horrible loss for our community. We had so many dedicated members at our meeting, and there is no plan to bring it back.
I went to Weight watchers many years ago when the plan was quite simple where you had so many selections from each food group
We all lost weight on that program quite well without the focus on calories points and other things
Now I am doing a rather loose version of the ketogenic diet and is working really well for me
I enjoyed the old version of Weight watchers and I am glad that I went because it gave me structure when I was just all over the place
But it was not necessary in the long-term and now that I know a lot about food I can just make wise choices without having to think about it
Hi Kim, I also quit WW over the summer.
Thanks for the info Kim. And good luck with your surgery.
I quit last year.. back at it and excited for this "new"plan
I lost 54 lbs on blue- gained 7 back on PP. Healthi was ok but not best fit. I rejoined WW and am eagerly awaiting the changes. I love the community and app, just not PP
Congratulations on the weight loss. I didn't like the Healthi app from a user perspective.
I live in a small rural town but we had a great support system with our meeting until they closed ours. So now if we want to attend a in person meeting we have to drive an hour away. Most of us quit.
I agree Weight Watcher name should come back. I did go back before this change was announced but was happy when I heard of change coming. I got in for 6 months at $15 a month cheapest I’ve seen for years
Hoping I can make it this time
With the new pricing offers, I’m really thinking of going back.
That’s awesome 👏 It’s all about finding something that feels sustainable.
Points just boggles some people's minds and more than Calorie Counts.🤷🏻♀️
Like with other things; The more changes they try to make, the more complicated they make it. The original purpose gets lost.
They need to also change their name back to Weight Watchers too!
Yes! 💯
Agreed!!!
Apparently they are x
They are they put out an article this morning.
I loved 1 2 3 Success. This was my first time on WW and it was the best.
Thanks for answering my question!! I really appreciate your perspective on it!
Have you tried the Healthi app instead? There are a lot of plans to choose from
I absolutely love your top! Can you please tell me the brand so I can look for one?
Hello , I'm new here and I'm binge watching these W. W . Videos trying to figure it out without joining haha
They need to bring back actual classes. We have a handful in UK and non within a 5 mile radius to me, we did used to have loads.
I’m hoping they begin to do more! I haven’t looked into meetings in my area recently. I always got so much out of them.
Totally agree with you on PP
Love this video! Fantastic breakdown and hits some of the same feelings I share as a former WW success.
Aww! Thank you!
Anyone else new and confused about what is going on?? I just joined a couple months ago and had no idea the chaos of what's been happening!
I have been on WW since 2010 and have lost about 75 pounds. I dont understand this new plan. I dont understand how 12 oz of Salmon goes from 15 points to 0 points. How 12 oz of chicken goes from 8 points to 0 points. It just doesnt make sense to me.
Agree with everything you said. Hated WW PP and I also left. It totally didn’t work for me.
Personal points did not work for me either.
Personal points plan is fantastic and has worked as expected. I’m glad they offer a digital experience.
Thank you! The new membership deals make it so tempting!
I’ve never understood why
They change so many times. I lost on points plus and hated smart points that came after. So if I want to lose some pounds I go to points plus as I still have the booklets and calculator AND I don’t have to pay anything. Just my opinion.
I have been on PP but have not lost weight on this program besides 30 lbs post baby. We will see what happens!
I was a diehard WW for many years. I gained about 20 lbs last year after the death of my boss who was my close friend. I switched over to keto in July and I’m enjoying it I quit WW for good this summer
I’m sorry to hear about your loss. Glad you found something that is working for you!
Sorry for your loss. Glad you found something that is working for you.
Same! I quit and I HATED the PP plan. It was miserable. I just rejoined because the new program.
In person meetings leave little time for member participation. 45 min. long, no handouts, no charms etc.
If Abbott is part of the strategic partner plan, THEN meds will be part of the plan. Beat Diabetes is a YT channel that helps type 2s drop their A1Cs just by diet. But using a meter is key to knowing how your individual body reacts to individual foods.
I lost on blue, lost on pp and even though I'm below goal, I could lose on this new plan too. You get out what you put in.
I have at least 100+ pounds to lose with Type 2 Diabetes, PCOS and Hashimotos Thyroiditis - I am really struggling to find a way to lose weight and it’s causing me to lose motivation
That is so tough! I hope you find some good resources and support in your journey. They can make all the difference. Best wishes!
Those conditions make it extra challenging; while it can be very slow weight loss, healthy eating is helpful.
I also quit WW this summer but I’m sure off track and I need to get back in gear.
Could you please tell me how many points are in sweet relish?
In my opinion the new change reminds me of what it was back in the early 2000’s.
That sounds A lot like the struggles I had with PP. I am interested to see what kind of success people have with a new plan.
Kim, I love your blouse! Can I ask you where you bought it? I have lost over 90 pounds so far and I have about 30 left to go. I went from a size 2X/3X
down to mediums and larges and I am so excited to buy new clothes.
@@kmtruesdell thank you, 👍. I am a midwestern girl too! From Illinois. Good luck & prayers on your surgery coming soon.
I started going back to Simply Filling after trying PP program which didn’t work.😮
I feel like it works for people like me who have a lot ( A LOT) to loose and get a nice amount of points to use.
I quit WW 2019 and I have not looked back
Having been lifetime since 1986, I actually liked personal points and will not look forward to new/old plan.
Membership is down. I know they closed a lot of workshops and that caused a lot of people to leave WW.
If you go to your settings and select Diabetes Settings, you can toggle it on or off.
Weight Watchers was always the authority...BUT!!!! They certainly know how to complicate things....crazy///and wow congrats on your weight loss
