YASSS! Enough of those pink and red mattes in *every* single Pat McGrath palette! And this coming from someone who not only looks good in them, but I also like wearing them to play up my blue-green eyes... sometimes. My thoughts? I would have loved to have seen a cooler tone of purple or lighter, warmer taupe, and a matte dark, possibly even navy blue. Like, a perfect companion palette for the OG Mothership I Subliminal!
Because I have quite a few PM palettes, I chose not to get Moonlit Seduction, purely due to the two pink shades. To have to use other palettes for matte shadows is ridiculous - I mean this palette costs $128 for goodness sake. I hope she listens and offers us something different for palette no. That ABH palette is really good. Besides the Hela palette from Oden's Eye it's the only one I've picked up that came out this year. Not sure if it's burn out but this year hasn't inspired me much atleast when it comes to eyeshadow.
I personally find Wayne Goss' Smokey Quartz palette to be the most stunning on you. It creates the most gorgeous, elegant, sophisticated look that doesn't compare to the others. WG Smokey Quartz and ABH Nouveau are my favorites.
I bought the ABH Nouveau because you loved it so much and the color story called to me and wow! It makes me so excited for the future of ABH and I’m hoping we get more lovely palettes like this! Lili is probably my favorite shadow in the palette it’s just stunning and you can get some easy looks with some really pretty colors!
I’m in love with Sydney Grace’s California Coast palette. I just got it yesterday. I’ve been wearing bold colorful eyeshadow looks for about 1.5-2 years but I’m starting to really love a neutral eye and a bold lip the past couple of months so this palette came at a wonderful time

Agree 100%! The ABH palette is my favorite also! I thought it would be too muted but boy was I wrong! I have used it the most this summer and so glad I purchased it!
I bought Moonlight Seduction and I regret it. I HATE the mattes. They do not seem to coordinate well with the shimmers, and I am sick of the burgundy/rose/reds in her palettes. I wish she had included two different mattes in place of the warm ones…one a light crease/transition shade (maybe a taupe) and one a mid-tone neutral. The only cool-tone matte she gave us is really dark…which is fine, if we had some lighter options to go with it. Honestly, I think she should come out with a 100% matte mothership (“Pat Does Mattes” lol) with very light to mid-tone shades we can use to coordinate with the existing motherships. I am really enjoying the ABH palette, btw, and might have to pick up the Wayne Goss!
Ha, that pat McGrath mini! I used the light purplish shimmer for lid shade and mattes, and was loving that look so much! Then one day I used that new shade on the lid instead, and that day, my daughter who never notices makeup, said she really liked my eyeshadow that day! Lol I decided I liked that shade after that day!

Hi Morgan, I have to say even though I haven’t tried a lot of the palettes you ranked here, The ABH Nouveau palette is number 1 to me too. Out of the palettes I have that are new to me. I still love the Nouveau palette. I can’t believe in 2 months you only tried 12 palettes. You have about that many for a month. But it has been slow when it comes to eyeshadow palette releases. I’m very much enjoying two palettes I bought from Sydney Grace. The new one is California Coast and the much older one is Mel Thompson’s Tiny Marvels. Very different but both nice. The California Coast is fairly basic but great quality. In fact that’s the palette I’m taking with me to Europe in the Fall. It runs both cool and warm- so I have options. Traveling around to four countries is not the time to be lugging a huge palette with 25 looks. I’m keeping it simple.
I really want to order that CT palette you used on your wedding day from beautylish. If you had your wedding now, would you use the same palette? I love the look you created!!
OMG GET IT, I just received it a week ago and I'm LOVING IT SO MUCH, totally worth the price (it's also my first Wayne Goss purchase, never heard of him before) . I bought ABH's staple Modern renaissance a few years back, and in all honesty the WAYNE GOSS smokey quartz far surpasses Modern renaissance when it comes to daily usability, chicness, luxury feel (on your skin) and compatibility with my more olive toned skin. The only downside I'd say about the pallet is that it's a bit tricky to open - the case is very sturdy though :D

I love the soft easy to blend formula of ABH shadows, but I didn't like the colour story of the new Noveau palette, as I prefer more vibrant and bright colours, and shimmer. This one was too dull for my liking, but when I swatched it in store the pigement and quality was so lovely
I feel the PML Mothership X was a huge let down. I own all of her remaining Mothership Palettes with the exception of the Decadence palette and I feel the other palettes can give you similar or better looks.
I so agree about the Pat McGrath. So done with the matte red burgundy shade in every palette. Done with it Pat. Don’t get me wrong I love Pat but I think sometimes her shimmers are so messy. They look great but sometimes to much & overhyped. I think Natasha Denona is better all around. Crazy. Right.
The only palette I picked up in this bunch was the Nomad one and I like some of their others better, but at least the color story is fun. The Glamlite palettes are just too big for me-I want something more curated. I’m not buying from ABH at all and I felt like this Pat palette was boring. I’d love to see more colorful choices!
The ND bronze mini is perfect for those with deeper skin tones- I have all the other minis and by far the bronze is my favorite. The deeper skin girls want options too!

It's weird for me, buy the ABH palette is SUPER Esthetically pleasing as a whole, but when I look at the colors individually it doesn't grab me like Sultry, Subculture, Modern, Soft Glam etc. I wish it did. I have yet to buy it. I remember back in the day folding and buying the Original Norvina (not the Norvina line), because everyone loved it, but I never used it. Also it gives me vibes of the Lome Vrime Venus 2, which nobody has improved upon that color story to this day.
Morgan your opinion on the Nomad palette sounds confusing. You say you like it but then you say the quality wasn't the best. I feel like it can't be both
I’m disappointed in the mini bronze too. It’s too coppery-orange, not so bronze. And yes, you get the same exact look with mini and midi bronze! Maybe it’d be good if you didn’t have midi bronze, but still, with only one shimmer, I don’t feel like the shimmer in the mini is bronze, it’s copper-orange! I wish so bad there was a different shimmer shade and a deeper matte shade. My favorite shades in the midi bronze are palladium and rhodium. I never use the copper shades in the midi. And that’s what we got in the mini! 🤦🏻♀️
I love the ABH palette, it's absolutely perfect. But I'm actually surprised by how much I love the Pat McGrath palette too. When I first saw promo pics I was like, welp another Divine Rose palette! And I honestly still think it's basically an extension of the last 3 mothership colour stories. But it is such a gorgeous palette with just the best formulas that I keep wanting to use it.
Pat’s been boring me with the Mothership palettes. I only have 3 of her palettes but I don’t get that excited anymore with her Mothership releases because they all have that rosey colour story and they don’t feel unique anymore.
