I greatly prefer 1 bullet rifles, as it essentially forces you to not re-peak the same spot. And the longer the fight goes on where you are NOT re-peaking the same angle back to back, the more caught off-guard the enemy will be when you finally do.
Rachta forgot to mention that for a solo vs trios, you need good aim and land most of your shots :)
well. he missed most of his shots in this video (mainly in the second game) and still won. tactics can get you really far in this game
I have good aim from playing my whole life.
Id always turn off auto aim and run the high risk high reward loadouts.
Battlefield I'd always run a bolt action, and snap heads hots, consistently getting 40-100 kills, 0-5 deaths per game.
R6S snap heads shots, and lazer people with uzi or machine pistol (high recoil weapons)
Sandstorm insurgency hip fire headshots.
It doesn't matter in HUNT.
I get killed by the trashiest players all the time.
Hunt is more about tactics. (AND PATIENCE)
I've seen people with way less common sense, and terrible aim, clutch games for me.
It's like watching a special needs child re-write your essays.

Really appreciate this series, even though I don't play a ton of solos. Always enjoy having the tips, tricks and mindset towards decision making littered throughout the gameplay; makes the video much more palatable than simply raw gameplay replays of strong rounds.
Great video. Love this series. You covered the important weapon types but I hope you do more videos where you commentate on your plays

after suffering on a losing streak with randoms, im thinking of attempting solo v trios. feel like w/ necro, i can have more confidence in getting another attempt after death unless they camp my body. ill prob go with new hunters in trio, and once i get some decent traits, try solo
I had a great match a couple days ago. I got pinned down by another player who was coming behind me but didn't know I was there. He started getting shot at by a sniper up in a steeple the compound over. I manage to kill the first guy while he was healing and burn him. Then I managed to get below some floorboards and find the sniper up in the Blanchet Steeple. He was a Marksman Lebel, and I managed to kill him with a basic 1873 Winnie. Three headshots before he red skulled.
I’ve been playing with randoms for like 3k hrs now but since last week I started to play solo (against duos) and it’s so much more enjoyable. I think I’ll never play randoms again. Thx for the video, great as always
My fav budget loadout for solo rifle is martini deadeye and spitfire or new army. Imo your secondary is extremely important playing solo. You have to be confident with your sidearm because you will be in situations where you can't force 1v1. Solo you have much less time to heal, reload, etc
solo is the best experience you can have in hunt. Its awesome and super intense
The problem I have is that after 250h in the game I'm not scared of the PvE, I'm not scared of the bosses, and I just don't really get a kick out of sneaking around. I shift W towards everything and if I win I win, if I die, go next. I kind of miss having this brain-active playstyle I had when I started playing - surprised you can still keep it up after this much time!
Levering is super handy when you're dealing with close quarters as a beginner
claims hand crossbow is underrated... proceeds to miss almost every shot. Doesn't have me convinced.
Took me longer than I'd like to admit before I realized it was a reupload. I saw the spider skirt his sticky and was like "Wow, it did him dirty twice so close?!"
I play a lot of solos, but I'm not very good. About .97 K/D, prestige 4. I love that you constantly give tips and explain what's going on, and aren't afraid to show taking damage/bad situations where lots of people just show them stomping. Stomps are cool, but not very educational lol

You comment on taking a Winny C over the larger magazine one because you get more ammo from boxes, but it should be noted that Crytek has said that that's something they plan to rework in the future (as part of how they'll be addressing the avto)

Whats going on with the ammo count at 5:33? You have 9 spare shots, pick up 6 from the box, it goes to 15 briefly then to 20, then back to 15 after a second lol
the argument for the winfield ammo pool is really not good imo
winfield fast you still get tons of ammo, an insane reload speed (which is way too important as a solo) and just pair that with double le mat or double caldwell or even double chain pistol that you empty and you'll have ammo for days like 80+ reserve bullets
for the C variant the reload speed isn't fast enough if you get pushed(1 bullet a sec in hunt if the other team knows you're a solo you might have 2 sec of spare time tops), 7 bullets might be enough for a duo not for a trio.

I have a potentially dumb question. I see a lot of streamers use dark sight in combat even when there's no boost, enemy bounty team, or anything. (Like at 3:52 for example) What's the point of it?
3:52 might have been a misclick, but dark sight has many uses outside of having bounty, mostly trait related. Vigor doubles regen speed in dark sight along with stamina, combined with a regen shot, which halves your regen speed but lets you recover missing chunks, you can normalize regen speed while recovering those missing chunks in dark sight to save on healing consumables. Serpent lets you pick up clues and bounties from a distance with dark sight, Necromancer allows you to revive at the cost of a health chunk from a distance. And finally, even without traits, you can see the lightning of bounties. This lightning is pinpoint accurate too, so it lets you follow the movements of hunters with bounties. These are the lightning strikes in dark sight; the map lightning strikes are not pinpoint.
@Greg Struth ah yeah I always forget about the regen thing. But I see a lot of players use it when there's no obvious reason such as enemy bounty team, necro, serpent, etc.
@@buttsaucejack6218 At that timestamp it was completly useless. Maybe he wanted to start regen or he missclicked/thought he has the bounty. But oter than Gregs list it is aslo possible to cancel some animations with it, but nowadays that is not as important anymore.
first off great vod, love the content and as a solo appreciate the tips thanks Z. but i’m doing the billy questline and am curious as to what guns can poison hunters with one shot? is that possible? i hit a hunter with a centennial with poison but it didn’t count as progress, and only counted when i hit them with beetle which makes the most sense. any info for progressing this step in the quest line? thanks rachta ❤️

What’s the easiest to play in trio then? If rifle is hardest for solo.
Are there any guides/videos on how to solo push camping buildings? All of those videos on how to solo against trios are based around 3rd partying or blending into the bossfight. However today I had to push a team camping a building with the banishing boss. There was not even a scent of a 3rd party. I had only a Winfield, those fuckas were sitting in their corners watching all the entrances that are not trapped. After being gangbanged pretty hard I was trying to think on what should I have done to at least cause them more problems. Nothing I could think of but going in, doing 3 clean mlg pro headshots.
Like I didn't have a chance to know if there were 3 shotguns or 3 mosins. Didn't want to check it with my ass, nor risking getting shot with long ammo while holding windfield in the open field. Not speaking that they would know my location, so it would be hard to make an ambush on their way to the extraction or do some 150+m shots from the compact ammo rifle.
What are you guys doing in such situations? How do you abuse the fact that they yet to know that you are there?

It's the hardest but it's the most fun imo.
At the end you say its better to solo vs trios because in duos everyone is at another bounty.
Isn't that quite the opposite though? When I play vs trios, 1 team goes to one boss, other team to other boss and there is no one left on the map. I face way more enemies in solo vs duos because of more teams running around.
Trios is better because dont have to worry about getting 3rd partied by everyone. Depending on ur MMR usually in trios if sb does the boss or gets into a fight, the whole server will go there. Plus trios gives u more money
It's also a lot easier to read the map with less teams.
One boss ban = one team there
A fighting = two teams there.
You usually know the position of 9 players really fast.
So it leave the uncertainty with teams of two or possible solo. However. It's still easier to guess where is everyone.
And with that information, you can make better decisions of what to do.
1v3 is doable if you know what you are doing and there is no surprise.

Reduced total ammo, much smaller reserve, screen blocking box. The Martini's reload is nice enough anyways that the Ironside isn't needed as much. The extra ammo is more important to a solo, and more ammo means more shots which means more chances to hit. Plus getting more ammo back per resupply means even more ammo and even more chances to hit. Ironside is really good if you're used to it, but its lower ammo is a bit restrictive when you don't have teammates to back you up.

It's quite easy if you are the first entering the lair. Just wait for the first scream of the spider and start immediatly throwing.

I struggle to hit anyone with the hand crossbow as well lol.
Tbh the bows suck in this game. Half the time I shoot someone in the chest the either ADS and the arrow hits their arms or the jump and air strafe and the arrow/bolt hits their arms. Really not worth using vs silenced nagant for stealth or shotgun for CQC. Slugs is much better than shotbolt on fast RoF shotguns because it's usually easier to 2 tap someone to body at 50m than lead a shotbolt at 50m on a player constantly strafing and jumping.
Like I have games where I get 5-6 kills with hand crossbow or bow and think " Wow this is awesome" and then I have games where I get a hitmarker at 10m 10x in a game when I aim at chest level because of last second mouse swipe of enemy which causes a chest shot to turn into arm shot. Just not worth it vs a shotgun.
@@ramsaybolton9151 tbf i never have any issue with shotbolt not 1 tapping and at 50m i will rather pull out my pax even if i have shotty with slugs
@@cr3izien392 Not to be rude, but if you read what I wrote I said that is true for the regular arrows/bolts.The shotbolt is so slow though that it's hard to hit good players with that are constantly air strafing and moving. It has a 125 m/s travel time lol. My point was that at 50m you might as well just use a pistol if you can aim or double tap with shotgun and at close range you might as well just use slugs as they're much faster and you get more of them.
The benefit to slugs with something like the rival is that you can insta kill someone at 50m faster than they could kill you with a winfield to the body. This becomes important because the audio has been fucked since 1.9 so sometimes someone sounds 10m away so you peek the door and they're actually like 45m away.
How chan you unlock more hunter recruits slot?
With BloodBonds or dark tribute

@6:20 is the reason I have started to lose interest in this game more and more. 99% of the time I shoot an enemy, I also receive a shot. The netcode is horrible. It almost feels like I'm playing an MMO with expected healing pot usage. Kill trading 1.5 seconds later. Random shooting delay. Interact delay. Getting stuck on random objects. Hit reg. It's all bad but the constant hit/kill trading is the worse. The guy literally opens the door scans low and then still aims high to trade after you start moving on your screen. Also when you look into a dark building from outside you often can't see shit until you enter the building because the stupid "eye adaptation" effect, yet he instant sees. So much abuse of reshade and filters.
I have 2.11 K/D and usually sit in 5-6 star solo with 1500 hours. I think I'll just watch now.
Idk what's up with this game, on EU server everyone is cracked out of their mind all the time, even at 3 stars, yet on US East it's a completely different game, as for russian servers... you can guess what happens there
I find the opposite. The EU games are snore fests lol. People constantly run away and hide. NA is Shift+ W pitbull mentality. Much harder for me personally in solo vs trio.

9:19 so people, its a very very cheap loadout but unless you hit your shots, dont do it, its even worse if you are at higher MMR like you guys could see in this game, a lot of meta weapons and rachta getting fisted.

Solos is ruining the new player experience. It should be the Necro self revive or the MMR advantage. Having a 5 star soloing and murdering 3 or 2 stars over and over will hurt attrition.
I see what you're saying and you have a good point, but it does help prevent smurfing. Ultimately solo revive may need to be toned down.
The problem is the MMR loss that happens when a solo player dies 5 times in one match to a hunter with fewer stars. Solos should have reduced MMR loss when dying with necro. If I'm not in 6 star and play solo, I will win over half my matches and my MMR will drop from 5 star to 3 star while I'm playing and mostly stomping people that are lower rank. Once I get to 3 star almost all I find are other solo players, some just throwing more on purpose.
Step 1: uninstall this shit hole game, done!
