The kit comes with the seat cover and pan with plastics for 400 bucks if so thats a good price 👍mine is a 98 i got black plastics with Chevy trucks graphics and i just got polisport green plastics with a stock graphics kit my bike is fully restored with all new nickel hardware and tricked out im keeping this bike forever 😀 i also got every nos part i could find its a brand new 98 kx250 wo 6:16 rks bike now 😮

This was the complete conversion kit from TX Race that came with all the brackets necessary to mount the newer style plastics to the older bike. And yes, you can use the stock tank.

I got the same one and the amount of curse words I’ve said trying to get that thing on still don’t have it one please do a full 100% assembly cuz I can’t find jack sh*t anywhere the paper they gave me don’t even tell me we’re every thing goes
Yeah I expected more for the amount of money it costs also my seat kept popping off the first real ride I went on and I had to modify it to keep the seat on.
to be honest the kit is kind of cheap and i had to modify the seat base plastic to not slip off the retaining bolt on the tank. depending on how mechanically inclined you are it is possible to make your own.
Hey man, any kind of update on how that kit is? How's it held up to any crashes or anything? Got 02 kx build in the process and debating on going with the restyle kit or not. Slightly worried about those brackets bending after a fall

The original plastics looked better. The side plates on the new bikes are hideous. They are so small. Barely can fit numbers on them.

yes just search exhaust that fits your bike
its getting harder to find but yes I think pro circuit and FMF make headers and silencers for this generation of kx250.

they changed the plastics and frame from the 96 to the 99, so probably not, but it should have its own kit

it was just under $500 not really worth it in my opinion. the brackets are cheap aluminum.

I've had a couple of falls but no crashes yet. The brackets aren't the strongest but should be fine as long as you don't send it off a cliff.
