I have been delving into this scripture. And I believe we have to read it in context. The few verses prior to matthew 18:20 Is speaking of church discipline and conflict resolution. It doesn't have a whole lot to do with A prayer setting. Jesus is teaching how to resolve and deal with stuff like this in the church and I am sure another areas of our lives.
2 or 3? I have to read this section as a refresher, but "2 or 3" immediately brings to mind the Mosaic requirement for 2 or 3 witnesses to testify or a matter is not able to be established. Jesus also had three witnesses. 1 John 5 talks about 3 earthly and 3 heavenly witnesses. Paul or Peter said "let every matter be established in the mouths of two or three witnesses". They even taught that if one needed to confront someone on a matter to BRING one or two others with you so you have enough witnesses. God said in the Torah that a lone witness was invalid even if they were telling the truth.
I just discovered your channel! I’m so happy. I just shared your video about the Memorare with a group who shared with me that our Salem Oregon Church was just destroyed by arson and the Bishop asked us to pray the Memorare prayer. Since I didn’t know what it was I searched for it on TH-cam and your video was the only teaching video I found. Keep up the awesome work. To God be the Glory. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
This is such great advice and life application. However I’d urge you to study this text a bit more. This is not the meaning of this scripture in context. If you read just a few verses before (Matt 18:15-17) you’ll see the context is correction. It’s not about church, but about agreement on how to win someone over from sin. But again I don’t want to seem divided as fellow brother in Christ and only pray you can consider. This is still general good biblical truth you’re teaching.

You’re implying that God isn’t present when we’re alone. The Bible wasn’t originally written with chapters and verses so it could be taken out of its context like this.
Not what the scripture teaches: commonly misused to apply to numerical valueswhen church gathers. Taken in context with what is written before and after verse, means Christ is with two or moreb
as someone who is disabled and unable to attend church, and has no friends, please pray for me and with me in spirit.

You're exactly right. He isn't teaching the true meaning of this scripture.

You missed the context, totally. This is a reference to church discipline. Is Jesus not with me when I'm alone ?
Nice video 👍🏼👍🏼🫶🏻
