The German Revolution - Part 1
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 23 ก.ค. 2023
- What happened in Germany between World War 1 and World War 2? How did the Nazi party gain so much support and become the largest party in Germany?
In this two part series, I will explain how a country's attempt to become more democratic and fair ended with Hitler's rise to power. With coup, after coup, after coup. This will be a wild ride. So Buckle up for the CRAZIEST revolution of all! The German Revolution!
This video was heavily inspired by Oversimplified and Bill Wurtz (Especially his history of the entire world, I guess)

Oversimplified is really inspiring people to teach others History in an oversimplified way so that it is not lost to time. Glad you teach us History about this. Keep up the good work.

Keep these going! If Oversimplified is seemingly done with the series, than you should take over the mantle. I just wish popular youtubers communicated with us about why its taking so long or to at least let us know if they are taking a long hiatus for family and/or new job reasons.
I don’t think he’s done. He’s even hinted at what the next video will be, and in his latest video he even calls himself out by just saying that his videos take a very long time to make
@@viggoforster still takes far too long.
The more complicated his videos get, the longer they take. He's not done.
@@viggoforster also, what are your sources? I looked and couldn’t find anything that implies Oversimplified is still on this.

"My brother in Christ, I just asked you for the time!" Made me laugh just like Oversimplified. Stuart would be proud of you.
Always wanted to learn about German war history, in a non boring way and you did it!

Thank you a lot!

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery and Oversimplified should feel flattered. This was informative AND funny.
This isn’t funny
The full quote is “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness” xD
I love the competition you're giving to Oversimplified.
I don’t know about competition but it definitely helps fill the void while we wait for a new oversimplified video
Man this already on the level of oversimplified can't wait to see how good your videos will get. This definitely deserves a like and a sub.
Not even close. Stop encouraging this bullshit
It reminds me of the WW1 oversimp video.
He is reusing the animation from oversimplified and changing it slightly to make sense. Hope he has permission tho
The only thing that I don’t like is the left wing bias and the voice
It looks like early over simp and that's my favorite style
Keep up the good work!
WOAHH!
This is amazing wow...
Thank you so much!
U are a legend bro

I loved it, it’s almost the exact same as the old oversimplified videos but with it’s own feel behind it
This is amazing. Almost as good as Oversimplified! Especially the visual humor.
Dude, you really deserve more subs, this is absolutely exquisite!
Man, love these videos as well as your honest statement that it's inspired by Oversimplified. I'm looking forward for part two. Keep it up

Thank you, and welcome!
Already on oversimplfiieds level, amazing! Keep up the great work :D
Great video! Your videos come out quicker than Oversimplified.
Then again, they are shorter
And he only posted one as in Oversimplified he posts both at the same time.

Just remember y’all, this is a budding TH-camr with his first video 3 months ago. He will grow, and then hopefully have more income in which he can gain sponsors and make high quality videos
Nice video man. But I have to say one thing. Germany definitly had more events which could be considered Revolution, but if we talk about THE German Revolution in history class we talk about the 1848/49 Revolution. Which i actually was hoping for when i saw the video title. But otherwise really well made and interresting video.
Please keep doing oversimplified videos the videos are so good that they feel like real oversimplified videos and I love the videos.❤
Wow! This is actually an insanely good quality video. I am surprised, Keep up the good work!
Great work man. Keep going love these vid, I’ll wait for your next vid.

I been trying to tell The real over simplified to do This but This is close enough of what he might done thanks for making This I also see your channel as a alternative over simplified channel
I love this, and I love that you acknowledge oversimplified for it. And honestly, the same quality but change in accent is nice. Well done my dude!
Great job! this is a really good video and its hard to tell its not made by him!
Okay… I love this. Has some of Oversimplified humor and a damn great art style.👍

When I was notified this a few minutes ago, I was like “finally oversimplified posted!” But then I saw inspired. I only saw 39 seconds of it so far so hopefully this is good.
Germany was so busy dealing with others, it forgot to look inside itself. When it did, it was shocked and horrified. It was deeply conflicted. To help solve this, it created the world's favourite painter.

An interesting video to watch and learn something value about history, keep that up👏
oversimplified simplified is my fave, good to see hit- things i care about doing this, especially since the oversimplified video drought
As a german who learned a lot about this stuff in school, this video was still very informative and I learned a lot of new aspects that I didn't know before. It's also interesting to see this different point of view, because the school books in germany are very pro weimar republic.
Ya germans got reeducated so hard that German empire is seen as evil as nazis lol.
Even as a foreigner I feel so bad for Bismarck when I see what ordinary Brainswashed germans think of him
@@manojpatra2840 The german empire was pretty shitty tbh. Not quite the Nazi-kind of shitty, but still, it was pretty fucking bad. And Bismarck was in my opinion an asshole.
Besides, I don´t know, why you would think that we germans are brainwashed, you obviously aren´t german and thus you have likely never visited a german school before. Bismarck is generally portrayed pretty positively here, we learn extensively about how he supposedly "invented" the welfare state and his "genius" foreign policy and all that bullshit, if anything, german schools are full of pro-Bismarck propaganda. It´s only at university, where you might hear some more rational, critical voices, if you ask the average german, they´ll likely tell you that Bismarck was a pretty great politician.
The german empire as a whole is portrayed mostly negatively though, because as I said, it was a fucking shitty place. Militaristic as fuck, extremely brutal treatment of the people in the colonies, no democracy, no workers rights, no free press, a bunch of racist, antisemitic old monarch fucks running the country and the military...
I´ll say this, the german empire was an improvement for everyone compared to the disunited germany, but that´s it. As long as you´re not a braindead monarchist, there´s no reason why you should like the german empire
What? The schoolbocks I have and the lessons that I was able to witness never painted the Weimar Republic in a "good" light, but rather in a neutral one. A new republic that had many issues to deal with and that wasn't able to completely overcome them in the end.
The democracy of the Weimar Republic was flawed (see Artikel 48 der Weimarer Reichsverfassung), it was plagued by a political elite that was not only very conservative, but also not a fan of the democrarcy (e.g. Kabniett der Baronen, as well as Hindenburg himself) and last, but not least the Weimar Republic was plagued with a lot of problems, be it violent confrontations between the paramilitary groups from left or right, the Great Depression or the hyperinflation in the early 20's.
The Weimar Republic was to some extent an admirable "project", but in the end it didn't manage to hold itself up in the political climate of Germany in the 1920's and 30's.
@@ggkyt1496 exactly.
@@ggkyt1496excuse he s a German he know more than you.

Better dead then red!
would love to see a video about the scramble for africa or the russian civil war, but for now this is incredible!!!! almost exactly like oversimplified!!!
Thank you we need this
Keep it going love your work
Love these videos and what you're doing. There are a lot of small events and many new people to keep track of and it does get a bit confusing. For some constructive criticism, I would simplify the characters and give them more of an introduction. Also, show how a lot of these small events are connected to each other so it seems like random. Great video though!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to improve those aspects in the future!
Excellent work! You've already managed to captrue the OverSimplified vibe pretty much perfectly, and I've also really gotta commend the topic choice. Rosa Luxemburg and her opposition to Bolshevik-style Vanguardism is actually what got me back into Communist ideology, but even for Liberals, the story of the Weimar Republic is still an excellent cautionary tale of what happens when you're too busy squabbling with the far left that you end up excusing far right extremism.
"The Bolshevik tendency performs the historic service of having proclaimed from the very beginning, and having followed with iron consistency, those tactics which alone could save democracy and drive the revolution ahead."
- Rosa Luxemburg
@@levine4970 "Social democracy is not something that begins only in the Promised Land after the foundations of the socialist economy have been created; it does not appear as some sort of Christmas present for the worthy people who have loyally supported a handful of authoritarian socialists in the meantime. Socialist democracy begins simultaneously with the beginnings of the destruction of class power and the construction of socialism. It begins at the very moment of the seizure of power by the Socialist Party and is the same thing as the dictatorship of the proletariat. Yes, a dictatorship of the proletariat! But this dictatorship consists in the way to apply democracy, not in its elimination … This dictatorship must be the work of the class and not of a small managerial minority in the name of the class." -Rosa Luxemburg
She was sympathetic towards Lenin and the Bolsheviks, rightly calling the Russian Revolution "devilishly harsh conditions" under which to establish Socialist Democracy, but make no mistake, she was opposed to the sort of authoritarianism the Vanguard Party eventually proved to lead to.
