Some you could break a leg in, especially if you're an old fart like me *. But, I guess, with the Ranger's OK - so important - and the fact that next flood event, tonnes of silt and stones will move downstream, filling in diggings, it makes sense that restoring a dig is not so important. I remember 30! And that was 20 ago.. yikes... i watch busted knuckles also! Great stuff also.... All of you guys are great to watch, very entertaining and very info heavy... :)
Ahh, Upper Bench dirt and Lower Bench dirt, now I understand Parliament better, the Upper Bench is basically the older dirt that hasn't been moved on yet. 😏
Oh Pauly, .......... and your mouth. You eat too much of the stuff. Do you swallow? I just keep on thinking where all those kangaroos poo......... scary. Doesn't seem to have harmed you one little bit tho. If I did that, I'd probably end up in hospital enjoying a stomach pump :)
Quite impressive with those small creeks that you pan from.Aside from the upper banks, your shallow creek gold recoveries are with good results.Best of luck from BC, Canada
"Why yes, it's a rock. But you, Daddy love rocks too! I just wanted to show my support and love for you, by loving and playing with the same things as you."
@@VoGusProspecting Well I think it was test planning in an X pattern. Something like that never occurred to me. It was also a nice nugget of knowledge (pun intended) about wetting your bucket before putting the dirt in the sluice. On an unrelated note, you did a video a week or 2 ago when you stumbled across a quartz vein. I'm curious if there is a way to get a piece of it and soak it in a solution to dissolve the quartz but leave any gold?
@@1TakoyakiStore it depends....if its milky white there is a high calcium carbonate content....if it is already degrading you know it will work well as the natural acidity of rain has already started the process
Great vid as always Chris. Fantastic info as usual. I was surprised you were using the river sluice rather than the high banker....as I thought the banker would be easier on your back...
That last tip on the unsaid information in videos that you can learn from was exactly the method I learned commercial mushroom picking with. Great advice and thank you for the education. You do a great job explaining an effective method of prospecting. I'm going to soon be applying it to my area and see what there is out there in the ground.
Reading between the lines is a very important skill. Most of the information we collect in a day is visually not auditory, so it should be applied to here as well.
Great video Chris, Grizzly's helping you one rock at a time. Good thing it was a large rock. You keep this up and you'll be able to call yourself a full time gold prospector.
Somewhere around that area has to be an “Ancient Riverbed” which should yield pay streaks from a long long time ago. “UNTOUCHED NUGGETS”. Those old digs probably never revealed it. Great vid!
Long time ago I talked to an old chap who worked on a dredge in the Beechworth area as a young boy ,he told me that behind the dredge the gravell was all yellow. He said that there was an old bloke who was panning the gravell got a small pill bottle full of gold out of every dish . I belief that most of the gold we are getting now comes from the dredging , he also told me that the dredge he was working on went up the wrong valley , they run out of gold , so they just left it there. Cheers
Nice video mate it’s good you teach info as you go im learning how hard it is to film and Prosepct it really cuts into time that could be spent on the gold so appreciate the work your going too 👍🏼
Nice work, I appreciate any advice and different views to try out with my digging partner (my son) my dad showed me what he had learned but back then we had the metal smooth pans and I know we probably lost a 1/3 of our possible finds. Great video thank you for sharing.
Great info again. It's very hard to try and explain everything you do in a video, but when you watch quite a few of these and pick up a bit from each, it all starts to make sense. Putting it all into practice is the next for me.
In French Canadian we don't say good luck because it is not a chance to say that so we sat "merde"...I can translate that by "shit" and that's the word for chance so Merde yo!

Thanks for the video. I did question water speed in the sluce because of how low on the mat you were getting gold, did the traps after the black mat trap the rest of the gold?
@@VoGusProspecting I have found several decent deposits because people did just that walk away and we where happy to snatch up those areas. As much as everyone wants big gold, you dont often find the big gold without pursuing the little stuff! Any gold is worth pursuing in my opinion, has to come from somewhere. Anyway love the videos, keep them coming👍👌
Hello Chris, good find, but I think You should puddle contents of Your bucket, keep pouring water off, to get rid of all clay and light organic matter, then sluice sharp sand.Try it next time on this bench, because it holds so much very fine gold, You ought to get even more ,Good Luck ,regards George
I really appreciate your videos An old prospector commented your videos are realistic It is a hobby to do for Love I would like to learn how to clean up the concentrates of mustard gold at home before weighing it PLEASE
Awsome gold mate I just built a new highbanker 36in by 9 in wide I bought some low profile v mat for it I hope she can run double than the old one. When I tested it I ran 3 buckets of dirt through it it took it pretty well. But I use a sump pump not a bilge pump so I need a expensive battery and a expensive inverter to run on my creek. But thanks for the information it would take quite a while on my creek to find the paystreak.
Congratulations on the 20k Subs Chris! You put out a quality production that is both educational and fun to watch. Things will snowball from here I'm sure, best of luck!
