This is a great format for videos, I’m divine 1 but an offlaner, it’s good to see these type of videos to make sure I’m still up to date on how to play the midlane, (the basics anyways) because it’s a lot of things I would never have to think about unless I get forced mid
Bonus tip for control groups: They are remembered between games and sessions of dota. Even on multiple heros. For example, you could have a control group of "8" for a pair of meepos. And also "8" as a control group for Phantom Lancers strong illusion. And both will work without any set up. So pl you can doppleganger and immediatly select your strong illusion to try and decoy the enemy. Without worrying about messing up say your meepo control groups

hello will you make a video about last hitting creeps that is under attacked by the tower? i noticed it varies from hero damage that you have to hit once or twice to perfectly last hit the creep..
I don’t know how my guardian-crusader carries usually don’t draw aggro. They would rather sit in the middle of the wave and get absolutely hammered by the enemy carry+supp duo.
Excellent job! Question for the bottle would you like have to give it to the teammate before he dies and have him drop it in fountain so the courier can bring it back or how does that work?
If someone teleports from the fountain to your lane, you can give them the bottle as they arrive. Because they have the fountain buff, the bottle fills up and they can just hand it back to you :)
So many times I’m vs a viper and I have vision on him however he stands on staircase, I’m unable to creep Agro, is this because he’s on stairs and I’m not?
1)You can't creep aggro if the creeps can't see you 2) Maybe you tried aggroing out of range which puts the aggro on cooldown for ~2.5 seconds and during that interval of cd you tried again in range but didn't work.. Does this help?
Pulling the lane with the reasoning of denying your ranged is a TERRIBLE advice. Don't do this, especially not on the first wave. I've written a wall of text explaining edge cases for different matchups, but it's too many words and it still doesn't cover nearly anything. So I'll just say this. First wave is all about 1) Pushing your advantage if you have one. In this case, you can pull to ranged, but not to deny it, rather, to bait enemy mid into going for it so that you can trade. If you do this consciously (i.e. pulling to ranged and then immediately going on the enemy mid when the ranged is dying while possibly also ignoring his ranged) you can win the lane straight up sometimes 2) Getting early lvl 2. If you don't have matchup advantage, you can create it this way. But for this you need enemy ranged and wave is general to die first, not focus on denying. You want your lvl 2 + your creeps vs lvl 1 enemy with no creeps. You can severely out trade in a losing matchup this way. Also consider what happens if you pull to ranged and stay to deny it. Opponent will come to you, kill your ranged (or even get it denied, doesn't matter) and its you vs 3 enemy melee creeps and enemy mid. If you do this against someone who knows how to lane, you can also just straight up lose the lane here. But the biggest piece of advice is don't just pull to ranged on auto pilot. Think about what that does to the lane and what you want to happen. Also, abut pulling the ranged to deny: being able to secure the ranged is one of the hallmarks of mid heroes just like it is for 4 and 5 positions. You are not going to deny ranged by doing this ever unless your opponent is straight up bad. Every mid hero in the meta has something to secure that creep with. Mid is not safelane, you are not there to control the lane, you are there to win.
this is very helpful as mid enjoyer like me, but some of the tips are not applicable in guardian rank 😅 your 4 & 5 will just see you lose mid and flame you for losing the game
That's fine, once you get to ancient/divine losing mid is common so, your team would understand that "Hey, our mid is losing, we should win other lanes while giving as much space as we can for our carry"
@@DoTACasuals I think he is talking about how in your layout in the beginning how you have a custom layout instead of the casual 4 sections with the independent universal heroes
this guys is clearly up in the higher mmr. He talks about team coming for 6 min runes? NOPE, not on 3k. You calling the team like im coming bot for a gank? Watch them! They wil run straight at the enemy chase them away under tower as you are half way down to their lane. So now you spend 30 seconds walking half way there and back to mid because they decided they would allready run at them. So no, i dont tell my team anymore because 90% of the time they do the same stupid shit. And no i dont expect any gank mid EVER because clearly on 3k they think mid is solo ALLWAYS, even if there are 3-4 enemys mid at 6 min.
I'm not by any means an awesome player. Just making content for the average / new / casual players :) No one really makes videos for the people who don't care about being immortal ranks. So figured I'd do that haha
I haven't done my calibrations since returning haha. But I am also old now, so I play much worse than I used to XD But when I did my 3-4 placement games I was placed against ancient 2 people (of course that could easily change to less after the full placement haha) But any tips I provide ill be doing research on and making sure they are valid either way :)

Just a tip. A single observer radius is bigger compared to stacking a obs and sentry, which will have a smaller vision radius ( obs )
I thought that was planting range decrease but not the vision radius
