The Hades really is a wild unit for the guard! Some very interesting ideas here. I've heard of Hades being used in huge apocalypse games and it really sounds like a massive opportunity on extra huge boards. There is one strategy thats a bit cheaper that's similar to your infantry squad bomb - with Tempestus Scions + a Tempestus Command Squad, you can get a very similar wall of plasma fire, hitting on 3s. Courtesy of Mordian Glory.
I used one of these stuffed w/ straken and a load of Catachans in an escalation league. Did it work as intended... Maybe once every 3 games. Was everyone in my local meta changing thier battle planes because I had a meme unit in my list....you better believe it. If you fail that 1dt charge though 😱
I do Hades Drill with 10 Kasrkin and Ursula for the 3 orders, the -1 CP stratagem that you can repeat (2 grenades for 1 CP). With multiple first rank second ranks, 2 plasma guns and 2 volley guns, and a ton of hotshot Lasgun make it come out to something like 37 shots if you also take melta mine which you can also use if they survive to get close enough to use it. That's not even conaidering the drill itself which can tank shock then drill into something heavy. Well worth the 275 points it's worth right now to me and it really makes the Kasrkin feel like top tier SF dudes with how crazy it can come out to on table top.
@@CadianSergeantSteel gotcha. So do you drill holes through the tracks into a bogey? I got a BANEBLADE! and a Shadowsword as part of a used army! And I have to get them magnetized sor boxes.
@badrabbit9703 usually the 2mm depth doesn't reach much beyond the tracks themselves. Anything that does penetrate past the tracks gets covered up by my mud effects around the tracks.
I do Korne Red, then do my shade on my model, then come back with Evil Sunz Scarlet, Fire Dragon Bright, and Flayed One Flesh to create a bright spot on the red lense.
my Plan is to get that with a full Squad of Bullgryns with Mauls and have a CRASSUS with Ogryns and Kasrkin and just annoy the Hell out of any Unit i need and want to
Nothing as long as you and your opponent still measure to the hull. Check out Cadian Shock's Hades Brezching Drills on bases if you haven't seen them yet. They are amazing.
Sergeant steel you missed the best synergy and strategy with the drill! I suggest you redo the video because it is worth covering imho. Get a unit of kasrkin (they get scouts) get them to die on the first turn( attempt to not get battle shocked), then on turn 2 you spend CP to reinforce them. Now that puts them in strategic reserves, and that means you can deep strike the reinforced kasrkin squad with the drill. You can obviously do this with other units but kasrkin do it best thanks to scouts and their auto order.
I mentioned that you can use it on Kasrkin and Reinforcement resurrected units. Do keep in mind though that Reinforcements has to be used immediately when a unit is destroyed, so if the Kasrkin are destroyed Turn 1, you'd have to use it then when they are destroyed. But, you'd have 2 CP if you went first or if you had Leontus, so it's a viable strategy.
20 man inf with 2 heavy lascannon a command squad with a sniper and heavy lascannon with kyria draxus for 18" lone ope shinnanigans also put 2 snipers in inf squads for 3 total snipers 3 heavy lascannons in a lone op 18" blob of anti tank and hero 😊
Not a in your face blob but a serious threat if unchecked and with kyria draxus you don't need to stay still for +1 to hit so long as your fighting xenos don't forget take aim from platoon command Squad, this makes for a mobil high hit rate heavy las team. 18" lone ope solves biggest problem for heavy weapons 😊
Absolutely the coolest model I've never seen anyone use. Underappreciated.
20 infantry, cmd sq, enginseer, servitors, ogryn bodyguard, attachés= 34 units dropped out
I like the way you think

True. I'll discuss Scions eventually. The funny reason why I don't is because I don't like my paint job on them 😅
3 rapier laser destroyer batteries- 6 twin linked laser cannons going off in the back line would shift many heavy things
Oh frick!!! I forgot those had the Infantry keyword!

I just brought 6, only just realised the other day. Need another breaching drill then can threaten any armour that’s hiding away
I really think this looks seriously fun! Just for the hype this could be a great unit!

Yeah. They work better as sets or 2 or 3 to create multiple charging threats and likelihood of at least 1 success.

Deepstrike an earthshaker
GTFO here before they nerf our Hades Breaching Drill 🤣🤣🤣
Great video man! Hey Ihow do you magnetize the bottoms of your vehicles for putting them in magnetized bins for transport?
I typically use two to four 5 or 6x2mm magnets in the tracks. That's usually enough to hold them in place.

Sergeant, do you have advice for painting the focal lens on Las Guns?

If only they were EVER in stock! What’s the downside of placing the drill on a base?
