This is a great game for live stream. Tom does a good job of keeping things moving. Thanks to Wendy and Stephen for joining in. It’s always good to see different folks.
Not only was Wendy building her ship wrong for the second trip (as was noted in the captions), the left half of her ship had an incorrect connection that should have knocked off like 5 pieces.
hasn't been mentioned yet: * you can't flip the timer the final timer on any of the rounds until you have finished building your ship * deck has to start on a card of the current flight level
Either there's been a lot of changes between versions, or Tom made a few mistakes in play/explanation. He explained the Aliens only providing 1 extra engine/gun strength, but did it right for Stephens Alien early on. Turning over tiles was only permitted over the player board. Aliens cannot pilot a ship. Moving back on the track starts with the player at the back.
Ties for bad things are "won" by the person furthest ahead. The 'winner' takes the hit. Pirates / Combat Zone etc. taking Cargo will take Batteries if no Cargo is available.
The awards should have been spread out so everyone had one after the first round (points only going to the person who obtained it and they don't change hands during the game). Also, what is with the flipping tiles like crazy? The tile is supposed ot be brought back to your board before you flip it. That makes the reserve area in the top right more important. Makes it take longer to build your ship as time runs out. Love your guys' enthusiasm. I recently started playing this one and can't get enough. Round 2 I noticed someone without humans. That would be a give up for the level. Level 3 alien in the ceter pod? Nooooo.

They corrected it partway through the mission and removed part of his ship. I would have worried about Wendy since 2 of her ships were misconfigured. 😂
I thought that you could move battery, personnel, and cargo to other spots in your ship before it blows up if they were connected. Roy, although he won, I would have given him the gold award for cargo since he had it and could have just shifted goods. Wendy even though she came in last would have done worse if they would have checked the integrity of the ship. Good game overall I just received it for Christmas and have played it a handful of times. Thanks for the play-through.
Live plays are hard to both get the rules accurate and teach at the same time. Although there were rules goofs I don’t think they impacted the overall outcome since Wendy was probably the most egregious (except Tom flipping like a made person 😀) and Roy the most complete game.

In this case she could have knocked off the crew cabin near the center. Additionally, the double engine/cargo in the left down corner.
This is my sons favourite game. They always beat me at it. Love your playthrough.

Also every piece you add HAS to be connected to the core, Wendy seemed to misunderstand this idea horrifically XD.

Your not supposed to put aliens in the center pod. The rule book says they hate the smell of the paint there lol

Love these live plays, just wish they would reverse the top down view because it gets confusing trying to relate who is where
It seems to me there's a flaw in Roy's third ship - the red cargo hold is not connected to the tile to its left.

Damn instant shade thrown in the first minute. Awkward @
