Thanks for these reflections on the Meindl shoes. I’ve owned a number of their models and currently use the Dovre Pro. Do you have any thoughts about how they express their sizing? I see on your box they print UK12 and EU46. The Brannock conversion chart gives UK11 as the equivalent of EU46. As Meindl is a German company I assume their EU sizing is the correct one. (My Dovres say UK12 / EU47 on the inside label, by the way.) I’ve found this inconsistency in manufacturers’ EU/UK conversion to be a regular cause of difficulty in finding the correct fit.
I share your confusion. Meindl are German of course so operate in EU sizing which they convert for different markets. I'm 46 in Meindl but 48.5 in LOWA and Hanwag. It's infuriating.
I've had numerous comfort fit shoes and boots. All have been fine for width. My feet are consistently US width EE which is a generous UK G. I did have a pair of boots which were a half size small in length.

Do you find any of them run narrow?

No. Width is fine but I'm not an extra wide fit.
