First car racing video of the year! But did upgrading our car work??....

- If you've watched the last couple of videos on the Cortina, you'll know the transformation ideas we had on how to modify the car to make it a bit less of a brick cutting through the air! With all that said and done it was time to see if what we had produced actually worked. We hit the track for the first time in the Modified Ford Series this season at Silverstone for the 2024 season opener. With one dry, and one wet race it was a typical British racing weekend. Not all went to plan in the second race but you'll have to watch to see that. The out front camera didn't really enjoy being drenched from tyre spray so apologies for the changing sound in race two. Anyway ciders at the ready for another bit of Avin The Crack!

Cracking vid again guys car looked bloody quick once the tyres comes on and looked more stable under breaking once you altered yhe bias
A rear cam aswell would make it pukka
Takes big balls to have a RWD singing like that in the wet especially on 10 inch wets as the dont do a great deal

Was just thinking that ourselves. The camera out the front was the one capturing all the sound so maybe use the onboard camera for rear facing next time 👍🏻
Good effort all round. Josh's rally experience working well in the wet! How many racers would have gone for the handbrake in the middle of a spin 😅

Glad you enjoyed it. Always find it difficult getting a good balance with race day videos. Don’t want it to drag on too long but also don’t want to cut the races short

Superb, would it take a higher final drive?
Could do with another gear, and lower ratios. Will replace the tractive 5 speed box with the 6 speed version when the funds allow 👍🏻
