Hey sis ❤️. College definitely is a scam and it’s predatory in my opinion. People are spending their livelihoods paying back debt when college should be free.
And even when you go to college, at my first professional jobs in my 20s to 30s, many of the executives didn't care if you had a college degree or not. There were still comments about college kids still not having any experience. I had been working since I was 16, but I truly believe these people's egos were offended and they resented the college kids. Corporations only use college degrees as a screening tool/standard but besides writing skills and some math, I have NEVER used what I learned from college or graduate school.
Oh that makes me feel so much better for not finishing college. I just couldn’t afford it.😔 But, the way my life looks now…it makes no sense for my goals and dreams. Perhaps this was God protecting me from future debt.🤔
I went to college right after high school to become a nurse, and I failed college after 2 and a half years. I worked hard, I worked 3 jobs. I actually worked since I was 11, but I'm glad I failed college.
Listening to this whilst finishing my first semester😮💨 I've dropped out of college once and don't wanna do it again. I'm just tryna get through this so my mom can leave me alone😂 college is definitely a scam. I'm paying almost $7,000 to teach myself🙄 Art has been my passion for a very long time. I'm gonna focus on my passions once I graduate.
i dropped out two weeks into my sophomore year of university last thursday lol, and called my mom literally right after submitting the papers! she was so livid but i had to remind myself i’m not dropping out so she can be mad at me. i’m dropping out to continue loving me so i can give love back. i was an art student and literally could not focus in class because i was so invested on what i was working on on my own time. i wish u the best of luck with your degree and experience!!!
I went to a private art college that was $10k a semester after a scholarship and dropped out after a semester because it was such a joke. I learned much more teaching myself! So glad dropping out allowed me to be free from debt
I’m taking a break from school, trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. Growing up in a household where family members expected me to be a nurse, I just stuck with attending school to become a nurse, but it’s not my interest or passion. I know I can’t and don’t want to work for anybody. I’m planning to become an entrepreneur; I need to plan and make it happen to bring it to life 😭
Aww I feel you, often we get into careers because our family is so proud. Breath and do some soul searching to see what your passion is, write a plan and write down how you can achieve this goal step by step. Sending you love!!!
Learn what you need to learn, that has worked the best for me. Owning my own property has been the best investment I have ever made. I wouldn't bother owning an condominium, or townhouse though. Land is gold, and having the mortgage fully paid up is a godsend in one's old age. I don't know how I would otherwise manage.
Good point, many rich people dropped out of college or came from well-off family. I ONLY went to college because I was told to but I considered dropping out sooo many times. I did not learn anything rom college that I didn't get from professionals, books, documentaries, TH-cam, talks, etc.
My family’s poor mindset literally put me in debt because I had no idea I was just following what I was being told. Instead of thinking for myself and actually doing the research myself. Thank you so much for your channel! 👏👏👏💜✨
Yes, money does not solve problems. Intelligence & creativity solves problems & literally makes a person wealthy. I recommend Mr. Myron Golden here on TH-cam. He is a man of God, a multimillionaire, investor & entrepreneur. He also lives in Tampa, Florida. ☺️ Awesome video Karine!
Hi friend 💐 I love your take on topics like this. To your point of college, I have not attended college (yet, because I've taken my time to decide what I want to master as discipline) and have worked jobs with people with college degrees they do not use. Early on I decided I would hold off going to college because I always heard people talk negatively about their college career and I decided it wouldn't make sense if everyone is somewhat experiencing the same emotional stress, financial stress, and confusion.
Loved this video and all your videos! Would like to add that information literacy is so important! It's amazing all the things that people pay for that are actually free. I got a free associate degree because I was on unemployment, and people on food stamps get the same deal. You can often get the equivalent of a college education using apps on your library's website. There is so much on a library website for free that people pay for.
Hey Karine 😊. Thank you for going into depth about finance. It definitely have persuaded me to wait on buying some liabilities. Would you mind going into more details on what you consider to be a true asset? You said some people in middle class buys liability thinking it’s an asset. Thank you ❤
Seek knowledge because our parents from Haiti don’t have this knowledge to pass on. At least not my parents. They just tell you to go to school to get a high pay job. Imagine going through life and never having the opportunity of hearing this golden info. I don’t mean to sound negative but isn’t that unfair…??
