Just became a subscriber! I always fly Emirates from USA to India.. and love Dubai airport. So easy to connect and lots to explore! Can't wait for the next video :)
Hi, thanks for the informative video!👍 I'll be having a Dubai layover flight in Sept from 5.30am to 10.30am...do you think most of the shops are open at those hours?
Thank you. Based on our experience, most stores were open between 11pm and 4 am so put guess if that they will be open between 5 and 10. You can check store timing if you know which ones you are interested in
Great video! My memory is so fuzzy of the Dubai terminal (I've been there several times, but last in 2018), so this was a refresher of sorts. Trying to remember which gates I was near, but I think what you showed were gates I actually didn't venture through (mostly because of time and dreariness). I'll have to remember this on a future trip.
Thank you! The Dubai airport is very fascinating. This video is us walking around at midnight till 4am and it felt like afternoon with the amount of people walking around. On the way back to NY, we made another video of different parts of the airport. Can't wait to go back
Glad this was helpful. You can check the full list of priority pass lounges in Dubai DXB here www.prioritypass.com/lounges/united-arab-emirates/dubai-international
Hi, thanks for the video. I will be traveling to Kuala Lumpur in September, but I have a layover in Dubai. My question is, do I need to claim my luggage, or will the airline take care of that?
Good question. We had a similar question. We flew NY to Lahore Pakistan with layover in Dubai using Emirates. When checking in at JFK NY, we asked the counter and they told us that we will get it at Lahore. Then just to be 100% sure, when we were Dubai we did exit the secure area, went to baggage claim and asked the help area and they confirmed again. So the tip is to ask them when you initially check in and they will give you checked bag receipt and can confirm if they are checked all the way through. Hope this helps and safe travels.
No, if you are not leaving the airport, from our experience you do not need any visa or transit visa. You may want to check the official site for accurate information
Yes, based on our experience, two hours should be enough but keep long lines in mind. That just means, go through it fast and use the amenities once you get to your terminal:gate area like restroom or dining.
Generally, If you are not leaving the airport, then you don’t need a transit visa but this should be verified as different terminals, checkpoints, nationality/passport can have different rules
Thank you very much for the video, it helped me a lot. I have a trip soon and I m making a 3 hour layover at night in Dubai. Do you think that will be enough to get my second flight ? ( same company ) thank you :)
@@KhizEesa for me I was denied to board to go to Dubai and I asked if I can get it in Dubai since it’s possible and the airline denied me boarding from my country that I should have it physically or else just pay for another last minute ticket
Bro, your accent is okay very good because you’re I think so. You live in Canada okay no problem but my country name is is Dubai Dubai make it correct please🤣🤣🤣👎🏻

As an international airport, it provides 24/7 services including all the shops, malls and restaurants being opened anytime.

@@KhizEesa Thanks for the fast answer 😃
Do you need a transit visa if you have to wait 12 hours for the next flight? I mean if you dont leave the airport?
No, if you are not leaving the airport, from our experience you do not need any visa or transit visa. You may want to check the official site for accurate information
@@KhizEesa Thank you🙏🏻
How long does it take to get from B to C? Is 2 hours enough?
Yes, based on our experience, two hours should be enough but keep long lines in mind. That just means, go through it fast and use the amenities once you get to your terminal:gate area like restroom or dining.
So they ask transit visa if layover is 3hours?
Generally, If you are not leaving the airport, then you don’t need a transit visa but this should be verified as different terminals, checkpoints, nationality/passport can have different rules
Did you need to get a visa for your layover?
No, as US citizens, they issued us a visa (called visa upon arrival) when exiting the airport. I believe it is a 14 day visa
@@KhizEesawhat about filipino citizen do they ask transit visa for 3 hours layover?

Glad you found this helpful. And yes, 3 hours is plenty to make your connection and maybe even make some stops to eat and shop. Safe travels
What time does stuff close
We spent the whole night walking around and didn’t see anything close or closing! It’s definitely looks like a 24 hour airport
@@KhizEesa oh good to know! Thank you
If u in UAE and no AC you would die
Yes it does get really hot. Although years back people were living there with no AC or Electricity but it must be really tough
Did you need a transit visa for less than 8 hours?
We received a visa at arrival, thru passport control when we exited the airport. Since everyone has to pass thru this, we assume yes
