There was a generation gap and let’s face it the attention span of this generation is very short. I love Sebastian but I wondered how he would put his depthful comedy across to a shallow audience of kids. I also think this type of show and production was new for him and considering that I think he did well but he didn’t knock it out of the Park because who could doing this for the first time. He has two big obstacles, the age gap and the style of being the host of a show and how to go about putting that all together.
I normally think he's funny as heck but this obviously wasn't the crowd for him to be funny to, this is the crowd that he's usually making jokes about. His jokes are geared for conservatives, which I am, not liberals which they obviously are, for the most part anyway. In my opinion they picked the wrong comedian for this crowd or he picked the wrong crowd for his style of jokes. I realized that right off.

Carissa 121 Funny is the same as flavor. Some people love carrots, some people hate carrots, some people can’t even taste carrots. I didn’t see any of this set. I may have laughed, I may have found it uninteresting. (All the rest of his stuff I’ve seen makes me laugh).
MTV is a flavor I haven’t even tried in 30+ years. I like this guy’s stuff, I like chocolate too. I think liver is horrible. Some people can’t get enough of liver. And I’m going to pass on chocolate covered liver, because as good as chocolate is, it’s not good enough to hide the taste and texture of liver.
I find the premise of them bringing him in to talk to that crowd HILARIOUS.
They covered Liver with chocolate and chocolate lovers are cracking up, while the liver is reacting with, “What is chocolate?” “Why would they put chocolate on me?” “This chocolate doesn’t even taste like chocolate”, “Only old people put chocolate on liver, at least make it good chocolate”...
And Maniscalco fans would agree with me that he is the chocolate, while MTV fans may switch the two in my example.
I think that’s comedy Gold too. The really funny part is that even though I am an obvious comedic genius, no one has ever come to me and asked if I would host anything on TV, or rented out Madison Square Garden so I could tell my jokes to thousands of people.

People being outraged by some guy talking about safe spaces in a comedy bit is literally why people joke about the concept in the first place (exception made for people who truly are PTSD or persecuted, of course).
