Thank you for such a great exposé. I cut Jackie Pressers grass when I was a late teenager, and remember the bodyguards all over the property. Inside, outside by the pool, etc. I didn’t know exactly how crazy it really was until later. This was in the 80’s.
Looking forward to more good stories, please do something about the Old Polish Community. Back in the day, it was pretty awesome.

Wow! I was a teenager in 1977 and didn't think much about crime during that time. I remember hearing about Danny Greene and others, but I thought it was just crime in a big city. I had a friend you lived in Chicago who wanted to visit with me in that summer of 1977, but her parents wouldn't let her come because they said there were too many bombings in Cleveland. I was shocked, I had not realized until then, how bad it was here in Cleveland.

@@MbisonBalrog I never felt unsafe. I think it was because of my youth. All teens feel invincible at times. They think "things" happen to other people, not them

Cleveland is even more dangerous nowadays then ever. It's ridden with gangs and crime...... believe me I know. I live there and am also johns great nephew. Times have gotten worse not better......to be honest I wish John and danny were still around......they'd of kept some these gangs in check....we need a hero again...

I watch a lot of mob stuff on TH-cam. I've never seen Angelo testify before, amazing work Rachael.

Fortunately nobody tried to blow up Angelo at home because I lived with my mom two houses down the street during the 70's. Saw him sitting out in the driveway all the time and people would stop over.

I grew up down the road in Youngstown. In the 1960s, Life Magazine called Youngstown, Murdertown, USA We had a long series of car bombings and other murders stemming from the turf war between Cleveland and Pittsburgh mobs. At least one of the crew involved in Danny Greene’s death was from Youngstown. Everyone knew someone who was involved in the life.

I mean anybody can be taken out. Key is, he didn't hide. He usually took it to them, it took mob 2 1/2 years and 10 misses before they got him

I grew up with all these guys. LOL. It was awesome. It was like having one of Tony Soprano's crew as a Dad. We were always at bars, the track, parties, eating, feasts, golfing and of course CHURCH! LOL. I didn't even realize what was going on. It was my normal childhood. Unfortunately lots of our friends ended up dead or in jail. Even an innocent guy we knew was killed inadvertently when he simply was moving Allie's car. I never realized how nuts it was until years later. It was my normal until my Mom finally banished us to Mentor! It was like witness protection. LOL
