Apologies for the previous upload... Took me a bit to figure out, but it appears to have been a bitrate issue that YT didn't like so it just didn't attach the whole audio track. I hope everyone enjoys! Please like/comment/share and hang out for the premiere even though its a bit late in the day when its finally getting posted.
PERFECT timing! I finished edge beveling this pattern this morning, and am about to dye before assembling tomorrow. 😊 You're amazing. Keep up the good work!
Love watching your videos. I'm a novice knife maker and your work has inspired the designs for the sheaths I've made for my knives. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects.
Thanks for the compliment, it's inspiring! 😄 Many more projects are in production and on the way. Also, don't forget about our Discord server. Our community if open, helpful, and active.
Good stuff. I love all the little tidbits in this one like why you arrange the pieces on the edge vs center, doing the paper mock up, casing before cutting, etc. Now if only I could motivate myself to make something, haha!
These creations are freaking amazing! I've watched most of your videos. They are extremely well done. In fact, you've inspired me to try leather working myself.
When I built the other breastplate, I had alignment issues with my pattern. I suspect that my paper was crawling in the printer. I was able to get it printed as a single print through my local Fed-Ex store. They were also able to split the front and rear, and mirror the sides to make each band a single piece. It cost around $30 to get it printed. Places like Office Depot will wand $50 just to print an unmodified pattern.
Awesome as always, And I am so happy to see that my attempt at one of your patterns made one of your videos. I will have to wait on buying this one, but I can't wait
just a small FYI but if you dont have access to leather and leathercrafting tools, you can also make this armor from EVA foam, its pretty similar way of making it, of course making it from leather looks a lot better but i'd guess its a lot more expensive as well
Hello, I'm new to the whole leather crafting world. The body armor is what I'm interested in most. I am terrible at drawing and freestyling. But I had a great idea while watching this video. So I am asking for your advice. On the chest plate, I would like to include a huge dragon's eye. How would I go about doing so?
Great content, and gonna be binge watching a lot of your videos to get an idea of what and how i want to make... im assuming your using SVG for your glowforge patterns... I have a glowforge (plus model), and Im getting into leather... so this works out great.. my dilema would be to figure out how to make your patterns into a usable motorcycle vest... I have no issue with a cuirass style pull over as long as i can ride comfortably... if i do end up using your pattern system, ill make sure to take vid or pic for you
That really depends on what you're really asking. If you're asking about custom work, every project has different needs, if a client requests a design for use in combat extra considerations are made to that end. But most of the pieces are designed to to have a moderate or fair degree of functionality, depending what your threshold his anyway, whether you're comparing against historical examples or modern larp examples.
Love your work, when cutting out the patterns do you make sure your edges are cut perpendicular so there is no sloping to the edges? How did you come up with using paper on the leather to stop the charing in the laser cutter ?
I do have a question. I tried printing this on my glowforge plus, however the middle piece up the top portion of the front is too large for my print bed. Any suggestions on how to cut that piece with the machine, or am I better off just doing that one part by hand?
I always love these videos.... the outcomes are fantastic. It makes me want to embark on taking some lessons/learning myself. But I'm not 100% sure how long these things take? This looks like it could be anything from 1-2 days to a week's work, even for people who've never done it before. Does anyone know roughly how long a breastplate of this quality takes?
yes card stock paper i find works the best if you don't have a large painter stamper will print the pattern off to a larger size paper too leased where i am the can paint poster board paper too for me I did need to have a large printer for work did come in handle for another thing too i did find a company had a laminate machine for sell yea was for a valid price too did need parts to and an upgrade to send it out to be fixed and the new upgrades too one of the customers i have worked for their million-dollar machine had all of the plans come with this machine yea they printed off the sheets for me to laminate them too
This is absolutely magnificent, and such a goldmine for aspiring leatherworkers! Thanks for putting up such high quality content!
Definitely. That's a beautiful breastplate. So many ideas and patterns but so little time.... oh wait, we're in lockdown. *_No more excuses now!_* ;)
Thank you! So much more to come!
A good armor for Hansi maybe? :D
I know I'm about 3 years late... lol. Gorgeous work! I'm looking forward to ordering your drawings to start making a set to see how well I can do.

Very excellent work, my friend. Awesome jumpsuit, colors and even the design. We are in the same field
I really appreciate your channel! Thank you for the content.
You're welcome, thank you!

Thank you!
An alternative to standard printer paper is cardstock. It's what I use when I print out patterns.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Great Work!
Thanks for the compliment but wait till you see what's coming.
So incredible!
Thank you!
@@Princearmory No Problem
This reminds me of the royal vampire armor from the elder scrolls 5 Skyrim
Wow!
This is magnificent
Awsome !!! Thank you for the great contents keep it up👍😉
You're welcome, thank you.
Amazing job as allways!
Facinating:) I started leathecraft hobby because of your videos:)
beautiful work.
Thank you!
Where do you get rivers in bulk like that? Or did you acquire them in packs?

That's right! All of our patterns and leather templates can be applied to everything from foam to sheet metal.
cant wait to try making it someday!
Amazing.
Thanks!
I love your videos.. keep it up!!!
What tool is being used to stamp the circles/spheres @5:50? Thank you!

What's the square foot of leather you'd need for something like this?
I would love to see how to give leather a rusted used metal look like a realy worn plate
Hey Prince, what do you think is your most functional peice so far, and what would you look for in a build that makes it more functional?
That really depends on what you're really asking. If you're asking about custom work, every project has different needs, if a client requests a design for use in combat extra considerations are made to that end. But most of the pieces are designed to to have a moderate or fair degree of functionality, depending what your threshold his anyway, whether you're comparing against historical examples or modern larp examples.
Love your work, when cutting out the patterns do you make sure your edges are cut perpendicular so there is no sloping to the edges? How did you come up with using paper on the leather to stop the charing in the laser cutter ?
Yeah you should do your best to get square edges when cutting. The tape trick is fairly common knowledge at this point.
amazing work as always. Once i am done finishing the fantasy full set i might buy myself another mannequin and make this one also.
Be sure to let us know how your suit turns out!
@@Princearmory definitely
Another type of paper that can be used is card stock its a lot more stiff then printer paper but can still easily go through printer
Yeah that's true too, I should order some and demonstrate it in a future video actually.
How many Hides does it typically take to make a full suit? Does it vary with using the glowforge because of trimming the hide to fit in the print bed?
That's Super Savage my guy! I luv dat!
I do have a question. I tried printing this on my glowforge plus, however the middle piece up the top portion of the front is too large for my print bed. Any suggestions on how to cut that piece with the machine, or am I better off just doing that one part by hand?
Do you make armor for Hollywood? It looks amazing!
We've do have commercial credits but no major films if that's what you are asking.
I would like to make this, but I want to sew the leather rather than rivet it all together. Do you have any suggestions?
They make specific sewing machines for leather both motorized and hand crank. If that's what your asking or you can punch holes for hand sewing.

You can do it! You should be able to get it done in a few days to 2 weeks, depending on how much time you have per "session."
@@Princearmory Scary stuff! :) I'm looking forward to checking out your lessons online when I think I've got the time to commit to it :)
Hai please let me know the software of making aurmour
Sir i want the paper pattern of this fantastic suit
I'd love to see how to make leather chest armor with a rib cage built in. (More specifically, the Hades Armor from Assassin's Creed)
You could probably modify a corset pattern and put the ribs in like a rib cage?
Great work I'll give you 2 thumbs up.
I would give you more but I don't have more to spare!
That's ok. Come join us in our Discord server. Unlimited thumbs up and our excellent community are exciting!

But can you make it from steel?
Our patterns can be applied to almost all materials. Soon, we'll be adding related content.
My dreams.
