I couldn't agree more, I hate flashlights with multiple modes and all the wasted time trying to turn it off. I never use the strobe. I work as a profession, I want a good quality reasonably priced light that is simple to operate. Thanks for the review.
Yes, me too. Such a convenience when I hook up with a fish at night and I don’t have to cycle through which light I want I just wave my hand and it comes on.
How long did it last before the LED's started braking and battery frailer ? I have 4 that look just like this but near all non beam headlamps on amazon look like this.
I have this exact model but the instructions are dismal. I can't figure out how the USB charger inserts into it so I watched this hoping you would show how the charger cable works. Unfortunately not.
So what’s the problem the USb charger I would think would not need explanation. Are you having trouble finding where it fits in ? The part with the spotlight up with you there’s a rubber seal that flips back.
Used my Night Buddy a hand full of times. Told all my Buddys they need one. Unfortunately my Night Buddy has stopped working after two years on my tool box. The green light won't turn off and none of the functions work. I contacted Night Buddy but they say its a one year warranty and it dosen't matter that my night buddy was used only a couple of times. No way I'm buying another Night Buddy.
I bought a cheap one from amazon and had to return it. The front light started to come unglued and peel away. Has yours started to deteriorate any in this regard? Another concern I had was the hand wave sensor. I crawl through a lot of attics and foundations and sometimes nearby objects would turn the light on and off. How close does something need to be to activate the hand wave sensor?
I mainly use mine for saltwater fishing on the beach and puttering around my garage and I have used it for deer hunting. Also mine is held up very well. No signs of deterioration but you’re right about the wave sensor. Turning on and off it’s perfect for fishing for my purposes, my guess is probably 6 inches anything you come in contact could turn it on and off I have another one that I’m going to be reviewing it’s made by energizer and it’s rechargeable. It might be better for your purposes no sensor but it offers good light at an affordable price.
Your right…. Yes would be great for tracking deer it’s very bright and crisp I’ve used it a lot since my review mostly for surfcasting at night when it’s pitch black out it gives you a solid 15 to 20 feet of Crisp bright light by far the best headlamp I’ve ever used
@@peggoty75 A big flashlight never makes even 180 degrees, so I'm not sure I follow what you mean. Given what the headlamp looks like, it i hard to imagine that it would spread more than let's say 120 degrees.
I have one of these for working on cars and bikes in the garage and it gets hotter than hell after about 5 min. To the point I rip it off, throw it across the garage and put my cheap AAA battery one on
Really. Thats not suppose to happen o would call company get new one i wore mine tracking a deer just the other night wore till battery died like two hrs. Def get new one for sure

I have many head flashlights and the nightbuddy is so so for the price. Good - Its light weight Bad - The main light is not very directional and not that bright - the band light on the front is barely passable for a light. Its better than nothing but I find my self using my Fenix HL60R much more. The fenix is built so much better and is so much brighter and long lasting. The Fenix is 2x the price but 5x better in quality and brightness its not close. the night buddy has it beat in weight that is about it. Also the Night Buddy uses a non standard USB C charging port that none of my USB Google phone cords work on. It requires a extra long end of the usb C. The one that comes with it is like 3" long which is too short but its all I have. I give it a solid C rating. Fix the USB port at least geeze.
@@peggoty75 NP I keep the nightbuddy in my car, I used it to change at car tire at night. Was better than nothing but no Fenix. Fenix makes other lights but for my sons BD I ended up getting him the same one I have as mine is old and still works like new. I bet mine is 4 years old or more, built like a tank. Mine has older micro usb port I would rather have a C port and maybe they have changed it on todays models that is about the only thing I would change. Its as bright as those old heavy Qbeams and the light is adjustable to any angle unlike the buddy light.
Sorriest headlamp I've ever tried-battery doesn't last long, main strip light quit working, and band keeps loosening-waste of money for me or I got a dud
This review is just what I needed to convince myself to buy this headlamp!! Thank you!!
That makes me happy. Just pulled mine out again to start my striper season

Thanks for the video, do you notice the “hand motion” feature accidentally triggering when walking by objects that come near the motion sensor?
No but if i wipe my face was like my sleeve or if I’m wearing a hat if I touch the hat sometimes it will set it off.
Meant to say yes🤷🏻♂️

It would have been nice to see how far the light projected in your review. Is it bright enough to track deer?

No offence but you reviewed a torch without actually showing us the most important part, what it's like in the dark.

Bought mine on special at Ali Express for $1.79 Free shipping
Holy smokes what a deal
Is it really 230 degrees? Looks like much less.
