    This was a very helpful video. I've been enjoying watching all your macaron videos and looking forward to baking my first batch soon. If you bake the macaron shells one day and then do the filling another day, would you just store the shells in the fridge for a few days or can you leave them on the counter overnight? Also, can you freeze just the shells and are they stackable one on top of the other or would they stick together in the freezer? Thanks for taking the time to answer all our questions!

      I would put them in the fridge if you aren't going to fill them right away just for that extra reassurance that they stay fresh. You can freeze just the shell and they are stackable (though I wouldn't stack more than 3 personally), but I find the flavour really penetrates the whole shell when you fill and freeze them.     Hi Ashleigh! I have a question regarding macaron fillings. Do you prefer freeze dried fruit or using fresh fruit to add to your buttercreams? Would love to see a video in the future about macaron fillings! :)

    Hi I’m just wondering how long do they take to thaw and after thawing how long will they be good in the fridge ? Thank you

      About 45 minutes to thoroughly thaw. Food safety wise they’re fine for about 3-4 days, but I would consume them within 1-2 for freshness.

      Some macaron enthusiasts believe in the process of 'maturation' which basically means letting them set before consuming them. I've eaten them both fresh and 'matured' (as in frozen and then thawed) and I don't notice a different in taste at all though there is a slight difference in texture, but not totally noticeable unless you've eaten as many macarons as I have haha.

      The pricing was for the containers; as for the macarons themselves they range in pricing from $2-$2.75

      It’s around the same as what Macarons go for around here. When they’re a little bigger they’re more expensive!
