I have spent 10s of thousands of dollars on going to destination weddings, bridesmaids dresses, baby showers and gift registries. I never got married or had children. But I need help paying for my dental bill. Am I allowed to ask these wealthy people that have tons of money, for them to contribute to my happiness now which is to fix my smile?
Yes, they owe you. I also hate when whole families give me one gift for Xmas and expect me to give each of them one gift. No. I stopped going to Xmas because of how everything is catered to married couples with kids. Most places make it difficult and expensive for single people to even travel. Single people tax breaks please. We pay full price for everything. Say you’re marrying yourself and make a registry for what you need. You can even have a party.
Yes! Pull a Carrie from Sex & The City and create a registry for yourself for your dental bills! If I had a single friend do this I would totally contribute! Baby showers and weddings and frequent children’s parties cost A LOT. When do single people ever get help or gifts? Pretty much never. 😒 ❤M
I like hearing about your travels, I think it’s relatable! Like Natasha, I did not get to travel as a kid and relish planning trips, mostly for concerts and museum visits. 💜
I've been listening for over two years and I absolutely love your podcast. But please god someone (cough cough sound producer Laura) listen to the audio and fix the microphone differences/distances between sources. Mosha, Natasha and guests are constantly all over the place audio wise. Please and thank you. - All of us.
For real -- it makes it hard for me to listen to. And I actually like the podcast! Imagine if you were someone just checking it out for the first time or who wants "background noise". I understand (e.g., as a former musician) how easy it is to blow off post-production/mixing and to assume these factors are perfectionist or don't matter; but they really, really do.
I'm middle aged and never been married. I don't like the age judgment like it's not as special just because you are older. If anything, it's more special because this is likely to be longer lasting than people who get married in their 20s or 30s. But I also wouldn't spend a lot of money. Music is the most important part as well as location. No one remembers food or clothes.
Love the pod. I feel weird saying this but you need better sound production/post-production/mixing. It's noticeably more difficult to listen to your podcast than others (e.g. Moshe and Natasha being different volumes). It probably seems like a small thing but it actually makes a difference and I think is worth the investment (especially when you're recording overseas)
Buona sera is in the afternoon and evening in the South, and only for evening in the North, buona notte is for 'good night' (bedtime). Mi scusi is to address someone in the polite form (Lei) and scusami for the informal (tu) like a friend or someone you know or someone your own age when you're young. To get through a crowd or ask to walk into a threshold you say 'permesso?'
I’ve always found Moshe to be an annoying hipster until this reveal. He tried to learn Italian and didn’t need ridiculous accommodations…. Idk, it’s been my experience that Italian-Americans try to act sophisticated without any effort. …He’s still annoying though.
Yes! It turns out, when countries invest in public transport infrastructure, it be poppin'!
Moshe looks like David Gahn from Depeche Mode🤘

Absolutely gagging that y’all probably filmed this mere days before the swift concert cancellations/terror attack! 🌚🥸😂
