yes i made this video for new cb ham opps to show a simple way to make a ground ... yes best is to solder the copper to copper pipe or solder the copper to the uhf connector... as long as it make contact should be ok as a simple solution,,, for NEW OPPERTORES,,

Your antenna the current will go on your coax. Then to the ground wire. Then to earth. So you’re safe right?

Should be a round lug not a Y (spade) connector. Screw will always take the top coating off.
