The Extra Mile: Episode 5 with Raveen Antonio

“Developing your leadership skills and becoming exemplary figureheads with Josephian values”
Raveen Antonio is an admirable Old Josephian that excelled as a leader during his time at College, whilst being a model student in both academics and extracurricular activities. He served as the Head Prefect of St. Joseph’s College in 2016/17 and obtained 3 A’s at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in the Commerce Stream. He was the Vice-Captain of the 1st XV Rugby Team and the Vice President of the Colombo Junior Curia of the Legion of Mary. He obtained College colours in both Rugby and Athletics.
In this session, Raveen draws from his experiences in College and intelligently advises students on how to grow as leaders and methods to enhance their leadership skills to become exemplary ambassadors of the College; as students, sportsmen, and leaders who display Josephian values of the highest calibre.

“The Extra Mile” is a motivational programme in the form of a series of interviews featuring prominent and exemplary Old Josephians. It is organised by the Prefects’ Body of St. Joseph’s College to keep the Josephian Spirit active amongst students during the COVID-19 pandemic while also inspiring students to go the extra mile in their school journey. This programme endeavours to equip students with an arsenal of traits instrumental in interacting with modern-day society.
