I have a western hognose and she's so cute😊. But she's very dramatic. When I try to hold her she hisses but once she's out of her enclosure shes fine. She turns into a little adventurer because my mom lets her adventure on her bed and then once my hognose starts going under the blankets we put her back because that probably means she is cold and wants to go back to her tank.

The Eastern Hognose are pretty much the same “drama queens”…after my late wife’s marriage in the fall of 1971…she planted our first garden in 1972 and while she was picking squash she encountered a hognose (rattlesnake) that “struck and bit” her…upon examination there was no rattlesnake but only the hognose I had observed several days before…this incident changed her observation of reptiles for the better…she didn’t even freak out when I accidentally dropped a 5” rat snake that our daughter caught in our front yard into the bed with her (she was working another shift at the time)…we ain’t skerried of reptiles 😂😂😂
