Whoa. This is accurate to what's been making me feel meaningless. I've been looking at things on an infinite time frame, and things in my life felt meaningless. If I zoom in to where the meaning is, there is room for meaningful action. As someone who has experienced mostly anxiety over the last 3 weeks, this is extremely helpful.

There is no meaning to life except the meaning we give it. To make the suffering worth it I think to pursue meaning makes sense. Find a purpose, a reason to live and there you may find some meaning. I hope so anyway. I'm still trying to figure it out like we all are. Maybe never will. Thank you Jordan for your thoughtful insight.

I think he describes a really compelling idea of articulating and developing our gut feelings as being a better place to explore/ live. As opposed to evaluating all possible actions against a rationalised end of existence that is logically immanent. "you dont stop playing the song because you know its going to end". It took about 7 plays, five of which I was looking at my cealing because those smart sneaks where making me think about what if he's becoming the 'bill nye the science guy' , except instead of softening of the intimidating face of science, he's softening the intimidating face of ' countering solopsystic existential nihilisim'. :D

I think the frame "in the grand scheme of things, my activity doesn't matter much" is counterproductive when you're doing positive things, *but* it's an excellent *reprieve* when you're going through hard times.
